Hello and happy Friday!
Ready for some deep breathing.... inhale as slowly as you can. Hold for a few seconds, 3,2,1. Exhale as slowly as you can. Really empty the lungs. And again- innnnnn, hold 3,2,1,...ouuuuuuut. One more time innnnn, hold, ouut. Great job!
It is here, graduation day, and while I should be feeling "something" I am not. Just a mild "Bummer, we should be on our way to Newark for the ceremony by now." The kids feel the same. I asked them yesterday if they wanted to do anything special, and nope- They were teasing me that they want me to make banana bread so that is going to be their "celebration cake." I have a lot of bananas in the freezer so I am def. doubling the recipe.
What did I do yesterday? I scrapped a LO for the 52 Inspirations challenge of Cait in her cap and gown. was that really all I did? Laundry, dishes, sure... Oh, I did listen to some of the hearing on the pandemic response. And to quote the Dr, "we're in deep shit." I think that was the correct medical terminology
I don't have any plans for today, the school isn't doing much for the grads, just some social media hashtags for them to share pictures of themselves and video messages from the administration and professors. So I am gonna bake banana bread and make garlic bread pasta for dinner. I have a Congrats banner from when Caitlyn graduated HS that I will hang up. But that is about it.
But in spite of it all, I am so darn proud of them. Ceremony or not, they are college grads! :cheer2:
Gratitudes:
- my friends and family
- a roof over my head, food in my fridge
- the baby bird is growing and is getting feathers!
- all of you for your *years* of support, love, friendship!!! xoxoxoxo
