Hello and happy Friday!
Ready for some deep breathing.... inhale as slowly as you can. Hold for a few seconds, 3,2,1. Exhale as slowly as you can. Really empty the lungs. And again- innnnnn, hold 3,2,1,...ouuuuuuut. One more time innnnn, hold, ouut. Great job!

It is here, graduation day, and while I should be feeling "something" I am not. Just a mild "Bummer, we should be on our way to Newark for the ceremony by now." The kids feel the same. I asked them yesterday if they wanted to do anything special, and nope- They were teasing me that they want me to make banana bread so that is going to be their "celebration cake." I have a lot of bananas in the freezer so I am def. doubling the recipe.

What did I do yesterday? I scrapped a LO for the 52 Inspirations challenge of Cait in her cap and gown. was that really all I did? Laundry, dishes, sure... Oh, I did listen to some of the hearing on the pandemic response. And to quote the Dr, "we're in deep shit." I think that was the correct medical terminology ;)

I don't have any plans for today, the school isn't doing much for the grads, just some social media hashtags for them to share pictures of themselves and video messages from the administration and professors. So I am gonna bake banana bread and make garlic bread pasta for dinner. I have a Congrats banner from when Caitlyn graduated HS that I will hang up. But that is about it.

But in spite of it all, I am so darn proud of them. Ceremony or not, they are college grads! :cheer2:

Gratitudes:
- my friends and family
- a roof over my head, food in my fridge
- the baby bird is growing and is getting feathers!
- all of you for your *years* of support, love, friendship!!! xoxoxoxo

Nancy- yet, it is going to get warm today, we won't hit 80* but warm enough where I can perhaps turn my heat off. How is the second season of Dead to Me going? We are watching Upload ATM and will watch Dead to Me when we are done with that. Enjoy 13 Reasons when it starts up again.
I hope you and Luther have a great time outside today!

Trudy- Wow!!!! What a difference the white is making, the kitchen s going to look so much bigger and lighter!!! Are you keeping the handles or will you update them at some point too? I love it all!
The card is a work of art! I love that as well, you are so creative! he is going to love it too!!
(look at all of the exclamation points I used, you can tell how excited I am LOL)
I think the headaches are allergies and stress combined. Cait has been having them too.

Jean- mmmm, Hostess cupcakes, perfect choice for a junk food dessert. I am happy that you had a nice b-day even if ya got stuck doing the dishes hehe.
This will make you chuckle at the silliness of my kids. Caitlyn showed me the photo of her and Scot that she put on IG. She has an app that can make a smile, so she tweaked the photo to make Scott look like he was happy!
Those are really good ideas for the kids, and if they think you are nuts, you would fit right in- being nuts is a good thing in my family :p

Felis- enjoy the sunshine and heat. Thanks for the compliments on the photos. I had to be creative in making sure there wasn't any junk in the background outside. hehe.
At one point Cait wanted to do blogging about make-up but after a few tries, she wasn't happy with it but thank you for the suggestion.
Yup, the Beatles are very dangerous wanting to Hold your Hand Bwuahahah!!

Best get the bananas defrosting. Love to all!

good morning - some how my son has convinced my DH to make him banana bread. He brought home bananas from his MG. For me it is great as he went to the store to get more stuff to make the bread. This is pretty funny I was looking at the Oscraps gallery and I could not find my page and LOL it is because it is so different that I did not recognized them. Watched a Devils Q&A with my Hall of Fame goalie Martin Brodeur. The most amazing thing to me was the difference in the state he is living in, Missouri, than here in NJ. He has been playing golf every day and I doubt it is by himself. We are barely opening golf courses. Our governor has agreed to open beaches for Memorial Day weekend. Sure hoping it goes well. It is already warm outside and humid so it really feels like a summer day. And of course we should have thunderstorms this afternoon.

Chris congrats on the graduates! So funny that banana bread is baking in each of our homes today! And it sure does make the house smell good. Yes I saw the Dr. Bright highlights and he just confirmed what we all knew that we were not prepared and still lagging behind with testing. You may not hit 80 but it will still be nice and enjoy. So glad baby robin is doing well!

Trudy the photos of your kitchen redo are amazing. It really brightens the space. And that card is so creative. I sure he will love it!

Jean hostess cupcakes makes me smile! Glad you liked the movie. Yes lots of birds are around but so hard to see with all the leaves out. It is always a race to see if the birds come before the leaves or after the leaves. How cool your sparrow is still around!

Felis what do you consider to be hot. I think hot is 90 F and lots of humidity but lol I think both my sons think hot is 75 F is hot. Have fun in the sun but wear lots of sunblock.

Kay hope you are reading and scrapping!

Morning everyone! T.G.I.F. not that it means anything anymore for most of us LOL! For my DH it still does as he has never stopped working throughout this whole COVID thing. A long weekend for him and listening to the news this morning all of the ferries are full, so no one is listening to our Dr. Bonnie Henry and staying home :mmph: I can't blame those who are stuck inside a small apt or whatever, especially if you don't have any green space to spend some time in. But really people don't be going to the smaller islands where they have no way of dealing with the virus. Ok enough of that :tape: it just infuriates me!! :rollpin: Only one cupboard to paint today, as the next section has pieces that DH needs to take off for me, those crazy corner cupboards that open way up. I hate them and find that they are impossible to get into unless you are down on your knees and crawl right into them. I am sure you all know what I am talking about. So I will most likely have lots of time today to scrap and go for a walk! It is a beautiful blue clear sky this morning, so hopefully it stays that way all day long!

Chris - Happy Graduation Day to your two kids!! You must be so very proud of them!! So disappointing that they will be robbed of a special ceremony because of this virus!! Tell them that we are all so proud of them too! They feel like they are a part of our family  Thanks for the nice compliments on kitchen re-do and the card! I won't be changing the hardware as it is fairly new, we changed them up 2 years ago as a way to spruce up the kitchen back then. The photos only show one small part of my kitchen I have so much more to do yet and a big Range Hood and Island too. It will be a long process LOL. I saw that you got a page done yesterday! I just love it and your daughter is such a beauty!! I hope that you feel inspired to do another today! After you get your banana bread though LOL.

Nancy - I had to laugh that you were also making banana bread today. So funny that you do not recognize your own pages in the gallery! :pound: Your style has definitely changed!! I think that the golf courses here have been open for a while now, guess it is one sport where you can social distance from others, but probably most are not. So nice to hear that you are into the warmer weather! I hope you and Luther get out for some nice walks today!

Jean - Yumm!! Hostess Cupcakes!! I haven't had those in years! Thanks for the lovely comments on my photos, yes I hope that Isaac will love his card and today I will get the darn thing in the mail finally. Hoping that the sun comes out for you today!

Felis - Glad that you are enjoying some nice sunny days! Hope that it is not too hot for your though. Thanks for the compliment on my photos, I changed the colour of the cupboards because I am tired of them and needed something brighter in my kitchen, besides there is a saying here ... "Change is as good as a rest"! It just makes me smile to see the brightness in my kitchen. LOL.

Ok I will get into the shower and get a few things done, before getting the paint brushes out again. Have a great Friday everyone!!

Gratitudes:
Sunny blue skies!
Face time calls!
Walks in the warm sunshine!

Rained last night leaving puddles in the yard and now it's rained more leaving our sump pump to serenade us with frequent running. But it warmed up. for a while. I've rented another movie to watch tonight, "Phoenix, Oregon." This one gives part of the fee to our local theater. Tomorrow morning the computer genealogy group is going to meet on Zoom, hope it gets attendees besides the board members.

Chris, love that Cait got a smiling Scott in her version of the photo! I think I can understand none of you being that excited (or whatever) about graduation day because it really isn't anything and there's nothing the kids can do to change that. But they are now graduates and lots of family and friends do care and want to congratulate them. When will they know their grades? Do hope Cait got the A's she wanted. Enjoy the banana bread!

Nancy, enjoy your bread too! Cute that our Jersey girls both went that route today. I made the apple nutty bread Tuesday so we had a fresh loaf for breakfast on my birthday. I can imagine the gallery not looking the same for your pages! Pretty neat when you think about it. Enjoy the heat.

Trudy, good reminder from you that some folks still know what day it is. So your MG will be enjoying the long weekend (and working on the kitchen.) Wish the tourists weren't invading, but that's how people act if allowed. I'm sure they look forward to going somewhere that seems safer not thinking about what they take with them. I'm still loving the pictures of that super card.

Felis, thanks again for the neat card. You can see one of the photos in the template challenge. Your relaxed days in the warm weather sound good to me.

Wishing everyone a safe and happy weekend.

Hi, girls!
Such an unpleasant day I had  . It's not surprising that I can't sleep well this night.
What was my day in short: I spend it in argues and tears.
I'm an awful person! There is so many things I always promising to do better, but never did.
I have to be more careful with my parents, especially after this week's shock with the loss of their friend. But the weather is soo damn hot, and we all are locked on such a small place, it's like recipe for blowup. I was wrote such a long descriptive post, but notepad is not save it properly! And maybe this is better! Even the fate gives me sign that you shouldn't complaints from your parents action, even when they are been in bad mood and are hurt you.
Thank goodness that the spell check program keeps info for your last few checks, which in other situation is creepy, but today helps me to recover the personal notes I was wrote.

Chris, did you watch the virtual graduation program that Michelle Obama host and you was mentioned before?
I have favorite makeup vlogger too, so this is great idea! But US have Jeffree Star so this must be way more difficult than here. I'm sure Cait will figure out do and what she want to present! She is interesting with so many things. Can speak about what is to be girl living with lyme video 1 "Me, Justin Bieber and Avril Lavigne". Video 2 "To be mom of less adoptables: my pet rats''. Video 3 "2020 expectation vs reality" where she ironically jokes about her canceled cruise, graduation and job search. Video 4 must be reactions or some music or advertisements. LOL I don't know, young are so more creative than us! I'm watching so many talented kids to vlogging about their life thoughts on Youtube.

Trudy, it's so strange most people in my town act like Covid19 is not real! It's no sense as we are on around 60 kilometres from the capital, which keeps the most cases in our country, but nope people here aren't feel it in personal, so no respect it. Hope you are safe, and the visitors not bring it on the island! I'm not surprised they want to visit such a beautiful place.

Nancy, hmm, this is very good question. I have very low tolerance to hotness. 75 F is hot for me too . It's 82F and I'm feeling like nature is trying to boil me. I saw you often to talk about humid, but forecast here don't announce it as something important, I had to check and it was 39%.I don't know is that make it clear, but it's just awful hot, believe me LOL!
I miss your hockey pages too, hope soon! But enjoying a lot to the new too, kids are cute, but I especially adore Luther's confused face on the pics from wk.3.

Jean, Oh, yes your bday page is so cute! Hope this movie is interesting to! Enjoy the Zoom meeting! Send me a little bit rain, please!
