We made it! whew! Another long and roller coaster-y week here. But not as bad as some of the recent ones I have had. That is always a good thing. Gotta keep it in perspective, right?

I have a gazillion things to do for Finish it Friday. We are having another "House Party" tomorrow- a good excuse to get some friends together inexpensively. Its a summer food theme so I have some old "luau" decorations from a b-day party of Cait's, have a couple of food things to make (brownies of course!).
And I have to do my "job" work too. And I want to scrap!

Coffee lots and lots of yummy coffee!!!!!!!!!

morning Chris- sounds like a wonderful weekend planned. Mine will be dancing tonight- fred astaire look alike party - not so sure what we will wear- maybe dh will do his tux and I can wear my gown from dance comp- anyways sat is practice and the a red tie event- can't wait to go- our friends we met through dance are going and they are always fun to be with. I need to get out in the garden too! I never did any work work on my day off (justified- it is my day off) so now will head to work early to get a head start!

Laurie- how did you do getting your house cleaned?

Trudy- a girl after my own heart- I love to play in the dirt. My MIL (I work for her) is away but I went down yesterdya- and weeded and planted seeds and weeded some more. I split up lilies and replanted- I was in heaven!
I am hoping to get my work done early today- I think that if I can get started with the May Copycat Challenge, maybe that will get me inspired.

Ona- you know I would come visit you in a *heartbeat*- and I would even do all of your gardening for you!

Good Morning Ladies...

I really have that run over thing going on this morning!! The service last night was beautiful. But it was very hard. Reality is setting in and it's just hard to believe she is gone. Someone who has been such a big part of your life, your whole life....someone who made you smile and laugh everytime you were with them....Just an awesome person!! I did a blog post about her the other day if you would like to read it

I was very touched by my step daughter, Jamie. She is the middle step daughter...the one getting married in July...she came to the service..and then went out to eat with us afterwards. She had not seen my Aunt since she was a child....I used to take the whole bunch of our kids over there all the time. But how sweet for her to drive over here last night....she lives 45 minutes from us.

Speaking of Step Daughers, the oldest one, Alison that lives in TN...well, she is at it again....making those mean little comments to me and such...she did not even call me on Mother's day....I want to fix this, but I don't know if I can...she is so self involved, she will not see things from our point of view....Mike says he is going to say something to her, because the reason we do not go visit as much as we used to is his fault, not mine. Her jealousy is really a bad thing, and I have tried for the past several years to hide things from her to not upset her, but I don't think that is fair to me...so I am not doing it anymore, which is making the situation worse...

For those of you who haven't been around too long...I have three step daughters that I love to pieces (they were 9, 7 and 2 when DH and I were married). The oldest one has two children, but lives away. We have always tried to visit three times a year, but she is a very jealous person, and has huge issues with my grandchildren. My DH adopted my two girls, and does not see any difference in any of them...and he is super close with my daughters children, but they live here and we see them all the time. We have not been to there house since last spring...and that is because she got really mean with me when Savannah was born...long story...and we can't seem to get things back on track...she is really nice to her Dad when she talks to him, but always very hateful with me. ~Sigh~ I am just at a loss.

Well, I need to get off from here....Sharon took the day off, so I need to get some things done here today....

Hugs everyone!!!

I just wanted to pop in and shout HI!!! to everyone!!! I'm off on an "adventure" with my baby Lil!! She's been doing well in school and two of her rewards involve the dollar store, so it's off to there and the quilt store to get my sewing machine adjusted! We may stop at the homeschool store for some last three week books!! LOL!!

So I'm starting a new Friday feature on my blog that is inspired by Chris and the Daily Os. It's finish it friday! I need to actually finish projects instead of starting them. I noticed that when I think about blogging a project, I tend to finish it, so thus the feature!!

Thanks for the inspiration, girlies!!!

Morning all, I am late getting to my computer and just will quickly fly in and out of here.
Chris.. you can come by anytime and help with my weeding, we could stop every so often and have some yummy coffee.
Laurie ... your dance party sounds like it will be so much fun!
Nana Linda...sorry to hear of your trouble with your step daughter, women can be so cruel can't they?:tsk: that jelous monkey can be pretty hard to shake, but she will have to learn to let it go. It can make you say awful things :rant:
