So we get no snow yesterday. Overnight we get dumped up. I wake up at my regular time. 25 minutes later, the school calls for a delayed opening. Get allof my day's plans adjusted to that. An hour later, we get the call schools are closed. Now I don't know what the heck I am doing. I am supposed to be cleaning today and I really need that $$$. I just emailed my client to let me know when it will be safe to travel on her road. Its the one I had to miss last month b/c of snow since its practically carved into a mountain. darnit!!!!!!!

Silver lining: It is supposed to warm up to the 50's this weekend so it will all be gone soon.

The other silver lining, less than 24 hours to go until the Oscraps Birthday Party!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wheeeeeeeeeeee!
It is going to be the BEST ever!! I promise! Just wait until you all see what the Cheery O's have planned and the Collab that the designers have put together. **swoon**

Yes Chris- overnight and then the temps warm up so hopefully by this afternoon you will be able to safely get there. Mine is almost all melted already!

I have another cup of coffee. I think my plans for this morning are to drink coffee and wait to hear about work. Not much else I can do I guess. I know that I moan about money allof the time but it is a constant source of stress for me. I can't say anything to Gray b/c he has major guilt about not being The Provider for us. I can't say anything to the kids, they have enough going on. Not to mention its not their concern. They know we have to be careful but that's pretty much it. I definitely can't mention too much to my mom or she'll never sleep again from worry. My brother will try to give me money.....which makes me feel worse. So you my lucky O-Fam, you get to hear it all. The worst part of it all is that my debt it 99% medical crap. Its not like I am even spending money on fun stuff. heh. Actually the worst part of it is that I don't see any way of every digging out from it all. Every month I am in deeper than the one before.

*throws hands in the air* Whatever. Not much I can do. At least my hobby (digi-scrapping) is taken care of

Laurie- hope that you are having a great morning-- good luck with the knee today.

Phyllis- the heating pad did help a bit. I am hoping that tomorrow we'll get the same effect of sun on the snow. Have a wonderful and fun time with the grandmen!!!

Terry- thinking of you and your mom. Have a wonderful and relaxing trip. Your mom is in good hands.

Trudy- make sure that you take good care of yourself so you don't get sick too.
I honestly wish that you could zap these damn bugs away too. Hope you had a great day getting pampered at the salon.

Nancy- did you get any snow last night? I hope not. This stinks! And yes!! DST is this weekend! Yay!!!

Morning ladies....

HEADACHE!!! UUGGHH!!! my head is busting this morning...but I have taken my ibuprofen...so it will be gone in an hour....then it's time to get busy!!! I HAVE SO MUCH WORK TO DO!!!!! Why or why does it NOT ever end??? I am thinking a movie sounds good..LOL!!!


Speaking of movies....the huge Wizard of Oz fan I am, I am very excited that the new modern day OZ (The Great and Powerful Oz) movie starts today....I got a gift card to the movies for Christmas, and I have been saving it for this one!!!!


We are taking the kids this evening to the go kart track....I bought a voucher on the Living Social deals back before Christmas...we were going to take them during Christmas break..but everyone had that wretched stomach bug...and now the thing expires after today...so we need to go!!


Besides that, I have a basketball game for Jesse tomorrow and his banquet after church on Sunday...


....oh....................and of course the start of the the BIRTHDAY BASH tomorrow....you ladies do not want to miss any of this..it's going to be huge and so much fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This one has been in the works for months and you are going to love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These kids are absolutely precious!! but well...at the time I took them, I was a bit aggravated....but now....I look at all the silly photos and I just love them!!!!

TGIF everyone!! A no snow day here we really only ever got a skiff of snow once this year... Sorry everyone out East :sorry: but I did 25 yrs of cold snowy winters on the prairie, so I am entitled to a mild winter or two on the West Coast!!

Chris - Oh I pray that winter has made its final blast for you!! Its time for spring!! Sounds like the temps are warming up nicely for the afternoon, and hopefully you will be able to make it to your cleaning job and get some much needed $$'s. Sorry that you are feeling the financial crunch!! It really is hard to get out from that pile of debt!! I think of you everyday and send my love out to you!! Can you feel it!! :hug: Hope you get out of your funk today, you need to put your party hat on and have fun this weekend!!

I am off to work for only 4hrs today, then we are heading to the Chemainus Theatre for dinner and show tonight with out good friends!! Tickets were free, so that makes it even better!! Have a great Friday everyone! Now where did I put my birthday hat???? :wave:

hey Ladies...I know I am such a drop by poster.....I have made TWO LAYOUTS though....EEEEKS!! I am shocked with myself about that one HAHA....gonna go trolling through the shop later (got paid today weeeeeee) and see if I can't find some more goodies to add to my collection haha.....gonna hopefully take some nice pictures of the kiddos today outside (supposed to be in the 50's) and we are about to start an art project I want to take pictures of.....should be fun things to scrap!

Good morning! Yes Chris we got snow. Those whether(oops weather)men are terrible. The snow that was forecast for Wed or Thurs came in last night and is planning on staying all morning. But it is beautiful. And will be gone by the weekend as it is supposed to get to the mid 50s. My hockey team came from behind and won 3-2 in a shoot out. Whew nice to see a win again.

Chris I am sure the snow will melt fast once it gets warmer!

Nana going to the kart track sounds like such fun! I love racing around! have fun! The kids photos are so cute! thanks for sharing!

Trudy enjoy your lovely west coast mild winter. Yes deserve them!

I feel for those of y'all that have gotten dumped on with snow this winter. We've had open winters the past two years. The drought has been terrible. Not much for snow this year, the weather dudes seem to always get it wrong. I believe there is a huge bio-dome over our area and things just always miss us. We've had pretty normal temps, but way below normal snow. Now they're calling for freezing rain and snow for Saturday and Sunday. Any guesses on if there are correct at all, we'll see.

Happy to be back at the O. It's been too long! Glad to see many familiar faces and lots of new ones. Happy Friday all!

we made it to D.C. without incident, and the hotel let us check in early, so we're just hanging out until Grandman #1 is out of school, and we'll go to his house and cause chaos!! the sun is shining here, but it's really windy. it's supposed t be in the 60s when we leave for home on Sunday. now THAT'S what I'M talkin' about!!!

Chris, nothing like school delays to make a mess of the best-laid plans. i hope you got to go to your client's house. money worries are the pits. and the fact that you can't share your worries with anyone makes it worse. i don't think you should deal with this alone. let someone in. i'll bet your mom would do anything in the world to help you feel better. please? lay a little of the burden down.

Terry, hope things are going better with your mom. have a restful Hawaii trip and enjoy yourself.
