Iiiiiiiiittttt's Friday!

I had the *strangest* dreams last night. I was driving my car on my street and hit one car and drove off. I turned around and tried to squeeze between two parked cars, scraping all along the sides. But the weirdest part was that my friend had asked if I wanted to go for a walk, and I hopped into my car and told her to catch up to me- while I am driving into cars along the way Hahaha! Bizarre :D

What kinds of strange dreams do you have? I am surprised that I didn't have my recurring"Terminator Dream" last night. I dream that I am hiding under the desks in the scene from the 1st movie and I am being hunted by someone/thing. We were discussing ChatGPT at dinner and sheesh, that is fascinating and terrifying at the same time. And haven't any of them watched the Terminator Movies?? Same thing when you see headlines: "Scientists splice dinosaur genes into a chicken egg." They should know better! :floorlaugh:

I was in a total tizz before I went to clean. Gary emailed me info on an oven, then I was looking for cheaper ones, couldn't find the size/specs of the one that we have now. I found all of the paperwork and the receipt but no specs on this particular model. Googling didn't help either, all of the links to it were dead. We got it in 2011 and I didn't realize it was that "old."
:soapbox: <~ insert me grumbling about how "they don't make them like they used to"

The rest of the day was fine. Scott had gone down to visit my parents and he said that they were on their best behavior. Good, it is about time. They also know that he would not take as much of their bickering as I do and he would have left. Nah- he probably wouldn't have left but he would have been able to charm them out of it better than me.
We worked on the Lego pirate ship for almost 2 hours after dinner while listening to sea shanties. We listened to bluegrass/fiddles while playing Thunder Mountain Railroad so it totally makes sense to listen to sea shanties while building a pirate ship. I mean-- don't *all* families do that? :giggle4:

Today is going to be a mashup of a lot of little things. Cleaning, running some errands, do some scrapping and Cheery O stuff.
I guess I have to work on the bills today too since I ignored that yesterday. *lalala*

The sun is looking good this morning, sparkly! Of course, we are supposed to get a snow/rain mix tomorrow- just in time to wait outside at the FP.

@BrightEyes I saw this today and thought of you: Fluctuating Temperatures
To fend off feeling icky, the experts recommend drinking lots of water, which helps blood flow and overall hydration, taking over the counter headache and allergy pills as needed, and dressing for the weather.
It affects BP as well as the respiratory tract and joints. I was getting some of my old POTS symptoms last week (dizziness, heart palpitations, pulse rate spikes) and I wonder if that might be why. When it's cold, I have a really hard time drinking enough water, guess I should work harder at that.

Did you sleep better last night? I could never sleep on my back, I feel unprotected. Gotta curl into a ball on my side but then I wake up all kinked up anyway. Your massage chair must have felt wonderful. Being able to laugh at oneself is one of the best and most helpful personality traits. I am chickling over here imagining you getting out of the chair and seeing myself do that every night -while not moving Whisky who has to lie on my feet. (God forbid you bother the dogs ;) )

@bcgal00 it is so exciting to hear about your cruise plans and prep.
I made avocado grilled cheese, with chicken strips for us, and plain for Caitlyn. They were good but a little bland. They needed some red onion and a little spice, maybe a sprinkle of chipotle. Next time. Now I have to figure out what to cook *tonight* (It never ennnndddsssss.....waaaaaaahhhhhhh)

@taxed4ever Dinner with Linda and Mark sounds like it was a great view, great food, and great company.♥ Sorry that your stomach didn't appreciate that better when you were trying to sleep. Hope that you had a good time at the pool.
Have a nice day with your Gary today!
Oh, 100%, Cocaine Bear is not a movie for me but perfect for Scott and Sam and their ridiculous senses of humor.
Hope that the weather calms down for Heather and the boys.

@Cherylndesigns I am working on a page for your challenge, I love the Phenomenal Woman kit.
Gary is on a bunch of Facebook sales forums, I'll tell him to keep an eye out for an oven. We need electric and most people here have gas so I am not sure if he will have luck, but it can't hurt to look.
Be safe if it floods by you

@LSlycord It feels strange not having you post in the morning but makes sense to try it out at night for when you go back to work.
Exciting and nerve-wracking to hear that someone might be looking at your house! Whatever is best for you, that is what I am wishing for. I am sorry that Syd is having a tougher time this semester. Midterms have to be coming up soon, right?
What in the world did your cleaning lady use on the grout to make it look so good??? This area has very, very hard water, and lots of iron in it. My friend's house gets rust stains anywhere the water touches. I can use bleach, CLR, Soft Scrub, and/or Magic Erasers and I never get it looking new.

@vickyday That's a bummer about your glasses, I hope it is an easy fix. Can you use Google Docs instead of Word/Office? I prefer Docs myself. Sorry that you have to get a new mouse and everything too. Not an easy switch!

HAGD!! ♥

HA! You typed what I was thinking.....they don't make them the way they used to! Mark and I are living in the house he grew up in that was built in the 60's. I believe the oven is the same one! We had to replace the bottom element last year, but I'm pretty sure it is THAT old! Now days it seems they make appliances to just throw away if something goes wrong and cheaper to just buy a new one!

I rarely ever remember my dreams! I may wake up in the middle of one and try to go back to sleep to finish it, LOL! Depends on what it was about! ;). Scary I don't!

I'm here... I slept on my side last night so not quite as stiff this morning and the hands are warm! :nod1: Arthritis is still giving my hips and back fits... but not quite as bad as yesterday, thank goodness. Good news is DSon#2 did not get a jury call - so he will be flying in this weekend. Waiting to get his flight schedule. Weather should be into the lower 60's most of next week with no major cold fronts coming through. Hopefully that will help me move easier.

Yes, I had seen that and have been drinking lots of water, taking allergy and pain pills. I have large 18oz glass and I drink between 4-5 of them a day. And I did sleep better last night.
Good luck on finding an oven that will fit into the space.

@LSlycord - Don't know whether to say good luck with the possible home sale coming out of the blue or hope it doesn't happen, Wow... your life sure is having a lot of changes - but you seem to be handling it all. So glad you all had a good visit with Syd...

@vickyday What a bummer about the close-up in the glasses not being correct. Hope they can get it corrected quickly. Sorry the mouse you have doesn't want to work with the new Mac. A suggestion for making notes about your LOs... I use a draft in my email program for LO notes and tracking postings. The drafts are easy to access.

Time to get dressed then need to get to the grocery store for some food since the boys' visit is on! HAGD

Good Morning!
Didn't make it in here yesterday until almost midnight! Had a great day with Ilene and Carolyn, as usual! They are a hoot to be around!

Got my eyes checked 2 weeks ago Tuesday and called yesterday to see where in the world my new glasses were (actually, last year's glasses with a new script). They had just gotten back, so while we were heading back to Ilene's for the afternoon after lunch we stopped to get them. Something is not right with them. The distance is good, but something is wrong with the bifocal part. I had to go back this morning to see what could be done about an adjustment. The doctor checked to make sure his script numbers were correct and he determined it was something wrong with the bifocal part. So, back to the drawing board. I guess I will wait 2 more weeks to see whether they get it right this time.

Mark is home today. It is rainy but fairly warm....right at 60*. We are heading out to breakfast as soon as Mark is ready. I was up earlier than him today since I had to go to the eye dr and be there by 8!

Finished the baby poncho and am working on a matching hat. The shower is a week from tomorrow so I need to get my knitting needles clicking! I've still got to figure out how to move pictures from my phone and camera to the EHD.....after I get a new one that I can format to this Mac laptop. #crazy-2
OK, Mark is ready to go.
Have a great day!

Morning everyone! Happy Friday! DH and I were both up early this morning as he forgot to shut off his alarm and it woke both of up at 5:30am. He usually wakes up a couple of mins before it goes off, so I never hear it LOL. Anyway we have the installers coming early this morning to put in the new glass and blinds for the patio doors. SIL Linda had her new countertops and kitchen sink installed yesterday so my Gary will be going there later to see what she needs for plumbing parts and get that done for her today. Then I think this weekend we will go look for a barn door style of door for our closet. We are slowly starting to replace/upgrade a few things around the house. I need to get a page or two done today, so will try to do that while DH is at his sisters today.

@faerywings - What a crazy dream you had last night! I dreamt a lot too, mine was awful, it was about swallowing some kind of worm/bug and then having a mouthful of them and continually spitting them out! Yuck what the heck does that mean??? I might have to look that one up! #crazy
Hope you get all of your errands done today and that you have some time to get scrapping done too!

@BrightEyes - Glad to hear that you got a better rest last night! So great that your DS will be coming for a visit! You must be so excited to see him! I hope that Arthur leaves for good very soon and doesn’t bother you again!!

@vickyday - Sounds like you had a great time with the gals! Sure hope you are getting used to your new Mac and that you manage to get things organized with your new EHD! That is too bad about the glasses issues, hope you don’t have to wait too much longer to get the bifocals corrected!

Ok I am off to get in the shower and get dressed before the installers arrive. We need to move some furniture and remove the old blinds from the doors too. Guess we should have something to eat before they arrive too. I better get moving LOL. Have a great Friday everyone! :waving1

Good morning ladies. The sun is shining and its going to hit 40ish today so the snow will melt more. The backyard still has a few inches of ice below the 3" of snow. It is melting a bit by the edge of the grass, close to the patio and it already is a strip of about 12" of mud. With 3 dogs and not a huge yard, they make a mess out there. I would love to brick the whole thing but not sure if D will go for it. We have a curved patio and that would have to be removed before putting in a new one. We'll see.

I ordered some cotton/linen capris for the cruise. They will be great for hot weather so good for home here this summer too.

Today is chores, scrapping, groceries and, of course, dog park later. Funny but yucky thing happened yesterday at the dog park, a huge fluffy dog came over to me, lay up against my leg and then peed (a lot). I had to come home and wash jeans, socks and boots.

@faerywings I don't remember dreams much. Your car dream is weird LOL. Glad S had a good visit with your parents. Avo grilled cheese sounds good. I agree, a little heat would be good. I like spicy but mild spicy.

@vickyday Wow, you still have the oven from back then. You are right, that would not happen now, things really aren't made to last anymore.

@BrightEyes Yes warm weather is good for the bones. It'll be good to have your son visit.

@taxed4ever I love barn doors. Hope you find a great one.

I'm going to get more coffee and get on with my day. It's a beautiful day out there. HAGD.

Vicki, I use my email draft to keep track of links too (Kay @BrightEyes mentioned that). When I have several links for a LO, I just c/p them from the store to my email, then from my email to the gallery. I've been doing that for a long time. It sure does help when there are multiple links.

Good evening ladies. I wasn't really busy. Shaun got in the pool with the dogs. Andie had such a good time...she just kept swimming and swimming. She does love to swim! Did a layout. Watched some TV...pacing myself for my last two weeks of freedom! :floorlaugh:

@faerywings I had a strange dream last night. I don't remember dreams often. But in this one, I had been saying good bye to a bunch of people...I think I was moving from somewhere. And then Mr. C was there. He was my high school principal. He came up and shook my hand and I said, "I guess this is it Mr. C" and he said, "Yes, I guess it is." That was so wierd!o_O I'm not sure what the lady used on my floor but it was amazing! We have terrible water down here. And everything rusts here. You should see the inside of our 3 year old dishwasher! Glad your parents were on best behavior while Scott was visiting!

@BrightEyes I'm so excited that your son will be there this weekend. I know that you must have enjoyed every single minute of the grocery shopping for the boys!

@vickyday I hate it every time that they change my lenses. It seems that since I now have progressive lenses, about 50% of the time they are wrong at first. Then I have to convince them that something is wrong. They love to tell me that I just need to get used to them. I have had progressive lenses for about 10 years and I know how it works. Eventually, they always look and then say, "Oh you are right...it isn't right." I hope it is right in two years.

@taxed4ever it just is never a dull moment for you and your Gary is it? It will be fun to do little fixer up projects along the way!

@bcgal00 I couldn't help myself. I just had to :floorlaugh: about the :runningdog: park!

I still need to order the EHD. I'll get it from Amazon so it doesn't take forever to come. I just haven't had a chance to do it yet. It's been a busy week.....at least the later part has been.
I am figuring 2 weeks on the glasses.....like it took for them to get the incorrect ones.

Yup. Any place you can copy and paste that will hold the information until you are ready to add to the gallery is good! I'm finding putting them in the Notes app on the Mac is working just fine. As soon as I get another EHD I will be moving the information to a monthly folder.
