Should I be :bliss: because it is March?

Or should I be :hurt: because we got more snow?

I wasn't expecting this much at all. I think we got over 3" which isn't a lot but not so great when the roads aren't plowed.

Caitlyn looked at the traffic maps/school delays and asked Gary to drive her in the morning. She isn't comfortable driving the crazy highway with the interchange of 2 interstates and one major state road, so she normally takes Skyline Drive which is exactly as it sounds up and over a large mountain. He took her in and said that the roads had a few slippery spots on the way on but he had a really big issue on the way home. He was coming down one road to a stop sign and kept sliding and sliding and there was a car in front of him. He was able to get over to the right and missed the car. Whew!!

I am picking her this afternoon but the roads should be much better by then. It is too bad- Scott would have been able to drive her home but he is not on campus. He is attending a conference where his professor is presenting the research that he was collecting the tree diameter data for all last semester. I can't wait to hear what he has to say about it.

Not much else happening here. HAGD!

Jeanette- I am really sorry to hear that your day ended with a headache. I occasionally get migraines and they usually last a couple of days too. I have never heard of haptonomy. Good luck when you start that. My fingers are crossed that you hear from the other job as well. It is hard not knowing what to expect.
Your flowers are so pretty! I bet they smell wonderful! Maybe sometime in the future, we will have some here.

Trudy- you too,? More blah and cold. Yuck. The coldest Feb on record... yeah, no such thing as climate change, huhn.. SMDH!
Did you have any luck getting the colors right for Heather's painting? I am relieved to hear that Hunter is fine in spite of his wailing. Cait was like that too- and OMG some days it was all I could do to not bust out laughing. Other times I wanted to get out the duct tape. :tape:

Rae- how nice to have Jen visit you yesterday. I never know what to say about B's situation. Please know that I am always thinking of her and hoping for the best.
It took me 2 hours to clean out both fridges but at least I won't have to do it again for a while. I wasn't able to find anything that smelled bad so I might just be having phantom smells again.

Nancy- how much longer for you to have out of the house PT? It will be really nice once you can just work at home. And when do you get to drive again? I am guessing I won't be able to drive for the 2 weeks that my ankle is all bandaged up but it isn't like I have many places to go.
How frightening to see the player get stretchered off the ice. Hope he was ok.
Is DH feeling any better yet?
We got about 1" of snow yesterday and then the 3" or so today. I am so done.

Jean- yes the sun is nice to see when it is actually out haha!!
I hope that you start to feel 100% back to normal really soon.

Kay- How fun to read a book in one sitting, it must have been entrancing!
I am seriously jealous of the warm weather, but I am happy that you get to enjoy it.

Whoooooooohooooooooooooo Trudy!!!!!
:photo:please!

Good morning, ladies. Enjoyed my first coffee and reading my book when I got up. I'm reading "Something In The Water". I'm getting close to the end and had to tear myself away from it, to put it down, so I could go get ready to start my work day. I love when a book draws me in and I don't want to stop reading. The next one I'll start when I finish this one (probably tonight or tomorrow) will be the latest Janet Evanovich book. Her books are always a fast, fun read.

I'm taking Taz to the vet, getting groceries and other than a few walks with Taz, I'll be home working like crazy. I already know that today will be super busy, both clients are working a long day so that means lots of transcription for me to do. I hope to do a lot of it today but know that I'll be finishing up tomorrow. I hate working wkends but that's just the way this job goes.

But tonight I will stop work and relax with hubs, watch some shows, and leave the rest of the work til tomorrow. We're watching the last few episodes of "Good Girls" as I want to catch up and be ready for season 2 that starts soon. Love the actor, the story, it's just a great series.

Chris - be careful driving. I'm glad that our snow is now melted off the roads and sidewalks and Taz is happy that the ice and snow is still on the ground, along the river he can still play in it. He's so light that he just flies across the icy river path, with me slowly trudging along carefully so I don't slip and fall.

Hope you all have a great day. Time to refill my coffee and get to work.

Good morning ladies!! March is finally here and with it some sunshine for us and a bit warmer temps by the afternoon. Still below seasonal for us though. Come on Mother Nature, bring on Spring!! So happy that today I will not have to paint or stain anymore, there are a few touch ups that need to be done, but DH said that he would do those sometime this weekend. I am so happy to have this project finally finished! Here are some pics of the finished product. I regret not taking hardly any before pictures, and have looked through some old photos to see if I had any that I could use, but there are not any, guess I thought it was too ugly to have any photos taken near it LOL.

Hope to get to the pool this morning and then I will do my grocery shopping. We are headed to Costco tomorrow and Michaels, so won't have time to get the things I need on Saturday.

I finally got the right colours mixed up for Heather's painting, so I am anxious to get going on doing it now. Just have to pick up the right size of canvas for it.

Chris - I can't believe you got more :smow:!! Bet you can't either!! I sure hope the roads are better by the time you have to pick Cait up! I am looking forward to hearing all about how Scott's research presentation went! He must be very proud of his work!! Hope that you have a great day today and you get to do something that makes you smile!

Rae - Sounds like you are having a very nice morning! Reading and a great cup of coffee, just sounds perfect! You will have a busy rest of the day with your work, but nice that you will spend some time relaxing with your DH and watching some good shows! I don't know how you fit in all the programs that you watch on TV, your schedule is so full everyday! Hope that you will have a great weekend and won't have to work the whole time!

Ok I am getting my coffee refill and waiting for Heather and Hunter to call, but if it is not soon then I will be getting to pool and getting my laps in. Hopefully the pool will be nice and quiet again today! Have a wonderful weekend everyone and have fun with the new challenges this month, they look like lots of fun!

Looks like a not bad day out so we may celebrate March's arrival with a drive around Lake View in hopes of seeing birds that way.

Chris, do be careful driving! Hopefully the snow will have melted enough to make the roads safe. How nice Scott is getting to hear a presentation that uses his data.

Rae, the evening spent with DH and pleasant things sounds so much better than working so long. Hope there isn't much left for tomorrow though.

Trudy, what a lot of spindles you guys have painted! Not to mention staining the rest. Looks wonderful.

Hello girls,
maybe some of you remembered from previous years that March 1st is traditional holiday here. Actually my favorite one! So I spend the day in meetings with family and exchanging these traditional bracelet. After that I wasted literally 3 hours in search of photo I was decided to use for today, but never found it. Probably it was on one of these disks that stopped work, for which I was complaining before. However, I made a page about the holiday with another photos. On 3rd is our Liberation Day, but I'm not decided yet do I'll make something special for it, because I'll have also to work. Officially it's non working day, but working from home means that you are free to mess up your schedule however you (don't) want. After all I took the additional work that my boss offered me, so now I'll have to be ready to the delivery day.

Chris, I suspect you started with the news for more snow you got, just to swank ;). Here is so mud after our melt very fast. Wish you a safety drive! How strange that the car snow chains are illegal in your area here law force people to put them when it's icy. I guess our roads are already damaged, so it's more important to save life than their pavement. Great about the Scott's research debut!

Rae, oh looks like you are working at weekend too. But your plans for the free time sounds lovely and I hope you'll be able to realize it!

Trudy, your stairs looks so pretty! Lovely contrast. Have fun at the pool! When will start the O's birthday challenges?

Jean, I hope you saw many birds! Nice to hear that you have springtime too!

Wave to all other girls! :cofscreen:
