:wave: hi girls!!

so glad to be back, I almost feel like I have to introduce myself again ...

I stayed a week with my aunt with all the kids and had little internet access. I'm going to divorce and I've been very busy with taking care of all sort of things that come with it .... and that is a lot, especially with the kids.

But we are home again now, so I'll be online a bit more again :-D

I hope I didn't miss a lot here, I'll try to read some topics, but if I missed anything --> :sorry:

Angela!!! It is so good to see you back. I do not think you missed too much. Sounds like you got a lot accomplished in your absence. It is the end of the month for me at work, so lots of things kept me away. Looking forward to the weekend, although I may spend part of it riding around with my husband, instead of scrapping!

Laurie, is your weather going to be crappy this weekend, too? it's been rainy, on and off, all week here. i'm sitting out on my patio at the moment, trying to enjoy outside before the next storm rolls in....

Trudy, you are such a NICE sister!! is she the kind of sister who will appreciate what you do, or will she focus on the fact that you forgot? (although she might not really KNOW that you actually forgot, since you caught it on the same day.) at any rate, you're a dear.

Veer, nice seeing you here! sorry about the migraines. i get these things called Occular migraines. not much pain, but it messes with my vision. hope she feels better today.

whoa. did i ever have a TERRIBLE night's sleep. i'll spare you the details. this looks like a NAP day, if i can figure out some way to get horizontal and comfortable (-ish) at the same time. i feel sorry for Hubby. by the time he gets home from work, i'm probably going to be a Screaming Harpy!! :boink: :madgrin:

Angela-- so good to see you back! I am really happy to hear that you were able to take a week off and take the time to get some of the rough processes moving forward. I am not happy that you have to do it at all-- just that it sounds like you know what you need to do and are taking care of yourself and your kids. Phyllis- We are getting the crazy rains here the next few days. Last night it was just coming down in buckets. We lost power for a couple of hours too. It is really grey and yucky out ATM, and it looks to stay that way too. SOrry to hear that are still not sleeping well

Speaking of last night, I got a surprise treat from my friend
My friend called me to ask if I wanted to go with her to get a massage. She had gotten a Groupon to a spa for her and a friend who had helped her move a couple of months ago and that freind was sick. She asked if I wanted to go instead since she couldn't reschedule. Well, of course! We had a massage, facial, blow-out and make-up. So nice to relax a bit, catch up with my friend.... and right before we left, the rain just was insane. They gave me an old lady plastic hair bonnet since she had blown my hair out straight. I must have looked like the biggest goof. By the time we got home, we had lost power so no one could even see how nice I looked ound:

Today I get to wear my nice and straight hair to go clean and if the sun comes out (not looking good for that!), I am off to the lake.

Phylis - Uggghhh on the horrible nights sleep!! I am awake at 4:30 this morning, tossing and turning around in my bed and thought, Oh for goodness sake get up and do something!!! Thanks for saying that I am a Nice sister, my poor sister Pam has had her share of heartbreak with her kids, so doing a little luncheon was the least that I could for her. She does appreciate it very much and said to both, me and my sister Wendy that she was so glad to have sisters!! We had a great visit and lots of laughs, it was good to see her smile again!! I hope that you get to have your nap today sweetie!! Don't be too hard on your poor hubby :becky:

Chris - Wow what a nice treat you got to have!! Lucky you!! But if anyone deserves it, its you!!! Too bad that no one got to see how great you looked though LOL Hoping you get to go sit at the lake today!! But sounds like that is doubtful :sad: Oh well curl up on the couch with a good book and pretend that you are on the beach. Hope your weekend is great!

Long weekend for us here in :canada: If the sun comes out it should be a nice warm one and hubby and I are hoping to head to Rathtrevor Beach and just walk along the beach and have a nice picnic together. We aren't telling anyone where we are going, we don't want relatives tagging along (is that horrible??) Anyway sure hope that the weather improves for everyone this weekend!! Enjoy the day everyone!! :wave:

Trudy, this is Canada Day long weekend, right? Happy Canada Day!:canada: Ancestry.ca was nice enough to have a 14-day feee trial in honor of Canada Day, so i spent last eve trying to find my Gramma in Montreal. no luck!

Good am. The weather is iffy again today. Cloudy and chance of rain. Last we had rain again last night. The clouds do make it cooler though. Just sitting here watching Wimbledon tennis. My sister called yesterday and in 21 days I will be landing in Paris. We are so excited. My DIL called to say she has two tickets for me to go to a special pre NHL draft skating clinic with Devils alumni and the top 4 draft prospects. How fun. And then Sunday is the draft to which I again have tickets. Sat is the one year anniversary of my son's wedding. I cannot believe how fast this year has gone.

Chris how fun to get a massage. Sorry your family could not see it with loss of power. Enjoy the time at the lake.

Phylis sorry about your night's lack of sleep. Naps do a wonder for me.
