However...I think I gave up on b-day many years ago- I am getting too old to care hahahaah!!! Nah, I like the fuss, and I really could care less about my age. I just wish I didn't look and feel older than I am
No big plans today. we were going to go to the lake which is kind of a tradition. But the weather looks nasty, again. yesterday turned out to be gorgeous... just perfect for sitting in a car/drs office.
So yeah, this is how much of a flake I am. I could have sworn that the drs appt was for both kids at 10 am. Turns out it was just for Scott at 9:30. Oy!
He is having another relapse of Bartonella. he had been slacking off on taking his meds regularly. And I am inconsistent with him- some days I make sure I set everything out for him, and others I can barely remember my own stuff. And he is 13. Somedays I feel like he should be able to remember on his own. Then I see that I am 40 (oh- yeah-- 41 LOL) and I have trouble getting it all together.
LindaW- ugh, housework-- It always amazes me how much fatser I clean someone else's house. Then I realize that there aren't any distractions like the computer! Hope you had fun swimming and staying cool!
Sara- whew- good to hear that the water receded. Hope you had a successful shopping trip. FYI- biys and socks... I don't know what it is, but Scott goes through socks like crazy- holes and dirt.... must be a boy thing!
Karen- woo hoo, last day for you! Have a wonderful trip!!!
*pounce* Linda P!!!!!!! We missed you tooo!!!!!!! I hear ya on the rain - that seems to be all we are having here too. No tornados tho thank goodness. Must be so nice to have your family all home

I'll have to see if I can find that book at the library. Scott is now at the age where he doesn't want to be all that motivated this summer. And I don't want him thinking he is going to do nothing but watch tv/video games/computer....
Clara-- was it a coffee day? Hope so! I could never give up coffee. I did when I was pg and it was rough! Hope that you have a nice and relaxing day. And go Relay! I am so proud of you!!!! When you start to get tired, think of me, I'll be cheering you on from NJ!!!!!
Dawn- that Davy! Man, I just love him, he is so cute! They prob don't make baby aspirin in liquid b/c aspirin in now a big no-no for kids. What if you ground up the aspirin with a little juice or water?
Ok my dears, I think I need to get of the computer-- I am hearing thunder. Looks like I might not be going to the beach today after all.

Hopefully just some scattered showers then it will dry out. The lawn, of course, needs to be mowed, again! I've got laundry started - I can tell the kids are home! We need to clean the leftovers out of the fridge and figure out meals for the weekend. We are working our way through Jenna's favorite meals. She's really missed home cooking while at college.
The good thing is, I got most of the groceries (just forgot one thing), held the adorable little baby boy, went to lunch with my aunt and we went to the festival for a while. It stopped raining, but it is ungodly muggy and hot. And when the sun did break through the clouds it was practically unbearable. Ben crashed in the car on the way home but woke up crying and kept crying for about 15 minutes. I think he was just hot and overloaded. He's fine now. I have to work up the energy to make Strawberry Trifle and get ready to go to the in-laws for the family reunion evening. Hopefully, there's enough to play with inside tonight. I'm not really looking forward to the evening as my SIL is a first class witch with a B. And my MIL seems to be betting crankier and crankier...even my husband said, "I don't think she likes ANYONE anymore...not just you."
