Daily Ooos: Friday, June 10: The 16th Birthday Party Edition!!!!

It's here....

The birthday party has officially started! Who is ready to celebrate? Me!!!

It's a good day- it is Friday and it is sunny and there's a party. Where is the cake?? If there is chocolate cake somewhere, it will be THE perfect day!

How was your day yesterday? The weather turned out much nicer than expected (again). The rain stopped early on but everything was too wet to do work out there. I took J to the vet and she was not as bad as usual. She even lost 4 lbs which was great news. I did some scrapping in the afternoon. Quiet but calm until dinnertime. That's when my mom called in a tizzy. My dad is *fine.* But he is still at the hospital and she was aggravated that he didn't call her when he was supposed to so she knew when/if he was getting discharged. Lots of miscommunication between those two, SMH
No one is sure why he didn't get discharged, my brother is getting one story from my dad, and she is getting another. Thank goodness I am staying out of it.

It is another perfect, sunny day with low humidity so I am going to finally stream clean my carpets this morning. They need it.

Fantastic news that Asher is enjoying camp so much. I bet this time away is doing wonders for him and his attitude.

@BrightEyes Yikes, all of my complaining of the weather and I forget that the heat does a lot of people in. You must have been baking outside at the nurseries. I think the yard people are going to do a great job. Don't forget to take before and after pics

@bcgal00 Whew, glad that you and everyone slept better. Terrific that you have the pool chemicals worked out and that you will be able to swim soon. That is too cute that you have a kiddie pool up for the dogs. Good luck with the keto diet!

@taxed4ever darn the rain! How long do they think the Atmospheric River is going to hang around? Glad that it held off for the hike and ever "gladder" that you enjoyed a nice glass of wine with your hubs
My Gary is very frustrated with how poorly he is feeling. It seems to be all in his brain/neurological. The brain fog is really bad.

That is not a photo of my plants... it was taken from the net so you could see what they will eventually look like when more mature. These are my plants... I have them sheltered from the high winds in a corner of patio. And, yes, I have taken the before pics of the yard and will take the after pics once it is all cleaned up and the new plants are in place. The 2nd photo is of the huge plant by the walk near the front door that needs to be removed. It just keeps getting bigger even when trimmed back. It has spread over the walk so we have to step over the corner of the sidewalk. You can also see the large bush in front of the Living Room window that needs to be trimmed back.



The smoke is still bad... can barely see the mountain again today. Need to get the other errands run this morning before the temps get really high. Already near 80*F and heading to 100*+. CYL

Morning ladies... Happy 16th Birthday to the O!! The party is officially underway with the Avatar challenge, @faerywings you did another great job of picking a fun avatar challenge this year! I am just popping in to say hello as I will soon be out the door to get some blood work done. I sure am missing my morning coffee LOL. It will taste even better when I get back home and make myself a cup or two!! Beautiful sunny morning so that is nice! The rain never stopped once from the time I was up until the time I went to bed last night. Ugh. But the plants sure look happy! Anyway I will be back soon to start partying with all of you! Have a good morning everyone!

Trip to Sthlm was a disappointment. Only found 2 records of where grandpa where, one in 1927 when he first joined the navy, then one in 1942 when he got posted at a place. Weird thing, he's not mentioned anywhere else. At least not where it's most likely where he should have been. Even applied for information about him in the secret police's archive, but they didn't have any file on him. According to what I can see in the archives, he was home in Orsa with his family all the time. Which he was not - but I cannot find anything in the archives. Annoying!

But ... let's celebrate the Birthday Party!

Good morning ladies. I was busy outside taking photos. Got a big baby mouth wide open at the opening to the birdhouse on the fence. I ordered more frames so will go pick those up this afternoon. We took apart a framed picture that I had bought about 35 yrs ago, threw the picture away, pulled out the matting and got my photo in it and got it mounted on the wall. It's not perfect as the matting didn't quite fit the photo but it's good enough. I really like it. I want to frame two smaller photos on each side so am going back online to look at frames again.

Afternoon Lovelies.

Well, the best laid plans of mice and men something go awry. NO camp today! That was not part of my plan - I guess they make their own rules. The coach took them all out to lunch to Sonic yesterday. The "event" isn't even here - it's an hour away at 9 AM Saturday. That may or may not be happening for us. Asher doesn't even know where it is and WHY isn't it here??? So, we're hanging in limbo waiting to try to find out WHERE the event is Saturday. He also has a birthday party to go to Saturday. LIMBO

I'll try to pop back in later.
