Hey there, and TGIF!
I slept much better last night and I feel a little better too. My brain is still going off in a million different directions but it's not making me want to cry in frustration, so that is a big plus.

I feel bad for my friend that I clean for, she always forgets when I am coming by and thinks that someone is in her house while she is sleeping. I mean, she is not *wrong*- just that I do have her permission to be there. :D She freaked out when she saw me downstairs, I could tell on her face that she forgot what day it was.
I struggled with a scrap page in the afternoon. I can't get it "right." I closed it out and will try again today.
This morning, I am getting my haircut and then I have no choice but to unpack the party stuff. I still haven't done that but the party is next week. Have to do it today. Have. To.
Wish me luck and organization skills!

@tanteva That is really cool about Urban's book. You said the street fair happens every week? If it is, will there be different vendors? Sorry to hear that it was a disappointment. and I understand the "nothing is fun" mood -- everything really does feel "off."

@taxed4ever Did you get to see the sun yesterday? How is the humidity? It is crazy high out here.
Your hike must have been exhausting but you did it!
Hope that you and your Gary have some time to relax as well as work around the house

@bcgal00 Any word from the Dr? *fingers and toes crossed for you* Hope that Jen is home safe and sound!

@Cherylndesigns Grand Central Station at your house, isn't it? :D
I hear yah on the red flags. :( It is so similar to the kid that shot up the school- sheesh, how many shootings ago was that? When the kid texted his mom the day it happened and she said don't do it, but they bought him a gun for his b-day?
( *%$#&%$ that it is impossible to keep them straight )

*leans in, reads raptly*
Discord, you are a fantastic author. If your Dad ever needs help with his book, I hope he asks you.

:D

Love and hugs!

Good morning. Quick one from me. UF has been exhausting! One day down and one day to go. All of the kids in this preview session (I'm guessing about 150-175) have finished their Associates degree while in high school, meaning that they have 60+ college credits. In Syd's case, she has all of her General Education credits finished. That means about 2 years of college remaining for her Bachelors degree, correct? Um...no. In the Engineering sessions yesterday, they said that the average length of time to get through the engineering program is 5 years and 2 months. However, they believe that these kids can do it in 4 years...oh my goodness.

Her goal is to be a bioengineer although most people do biomedical. But she has been adamant that she doesn't want anything with medical. (Even though they told her that bioengineer grads get into med school with a 90% acceptance rate.) However, there is an interesting niche of agricultural bioengineers that seems to have her interest. I hope she finds her tribe and her career and lives a happy life...and that's it for me today.

Morning ladies... Up early and made my Gary his breakfast already, he was chomping at the bit to get going on fixing the underground sprinklers. The parts that he ordered finally arrived yesterday afternoon, so I am sure he was thinking all night long about getting them installed LOL. Hopefully it all goes smoothly. I made a page for the Poems/Lyric challenge yesterday and had a lot of fun with it! The song rattled around in my head for most of the day, but at least it was a fun catchy tune! Today I need to get my grocery list started and maybe I will run out to a couple of shops today. I never did go shopping for some new clothes, I just haven't been in the mood to shop for anything lately. I need to trim my rose bushes, but I am waiting for my DH to cut the grass and whipper snip back there so the mosquitoes won't be so bad, darn little buggers love me!! A few bills to pay and that is my exciting Friday! (boring!). Oh well at least the sun is shining and it looks like it might be a few days of actual summer weather. Oh Hunter ended up going to see the dr. yesterday, he has an ear infection, poor little man!! Hopefully the meds he has gotten will clear that up before his big day on Saturday, no fun turning 5 when you are not feeling well!!

@faerywings - The sun did come out yesterday, not really humid, but the day of our hike was terrible. It is really quite rare that we get humidity out here, but it does happen once in a while. Gary and I do have to take some time to rest in between our jobs, we are not a couple of youngsters anymore LOL. One good thing about keeping so busy during the day, is we sure do sleep a lot better at night! I am hoping to get my Gary out for a bit of walk today and get away from all the other projects he has planned for the two of us. So maybe going out to a couple of shops on my own will be a good idea too! I hope that you get your party stuff unpacked today! Too funny that your friend gets surprised by your cleaning days!! I hope she wasn't too startled!!

@LSlycord - Hopefully things won't be so hectic today for you at UF! Sounds like its been busy, busy for you and Syd!! Yikes 4 years of college?? Hope that Syd finds what she is passionate about and that she does live a happy fulfilling life!! That is what we all wish for, for our children!!

@bcgal00 - Sure hope you hear something about your test results! I hope it is nothing serious, but sounds like you are feeling exhausted. Hope that your Jen travelled back safely and is home with you now!

Well the boys are calling me, so I gotta go will try to pop in a bit later today!

Good afternoon all.

Yes, Chris @faerywings it's a revolving door around here and we never know who's going to pop in. Casey's coming back again today because we didn't have any water yesterday for 2 hours and she didn't get to mop the floors. The guys putting the pool in cut the water lines. Roger showed them exactly where all the utility lines were and they still cut it. There's never a dull moment around here. We have to keep lots of jugs of water just in case. I'm going to rig up a catch from the downspouts - I keep saying that and haven't done it yet. It's on my to do list.

I'm with you on these old shootings- they haven't even fixed them yet. It's always the same old line "we knew he wasn't right". Well, do something, then! Now, they leave their "tracks" all over social media.

I'm going to do a quick in and out today - I want to walk on my treadmill. I keep forgetting to tell you girls that Chuck got me a small-ish one that collapses and doesn't take up much room when you're not using it. I've given up on walking every day - it's either beastly hot, or raining and since I broke my clavicle, I'm just not sure of my footing on these rocky roads. I just love my cute little treadmill.

TGIF everybody

Well, the day has almost slipped away before I realized it. Been busy transferring a bunch of scrapping stuff onto DVDs as the designer is no longer in any of the shops. Then deleting them from the computer. Trying to get some free space on the computer while I wait for the new HD to arrive. It is 'out for delivery' today! Still have a lot to do on winnowing things done. And doing loads of laundry while things are copied to DVDs... and listening to some of my favorite songs on CDs... Just got off the phone with DD#1...had a nice chat with her. And, uploading a couple of LOs I did for Karen Schultz to a bunch of sites. Guess you could say I am really MULTI-TASKING today. #predict

And... somehow I managed to miss getting some food.... so quick in and out as I am famished! At least I have been drinking lots of water. CYL
