CHEERY O
I am in shock that it's Friday. It was *just* Friday a couple of days ago, wasn't it?
*blinks and attempts to clear my head* Nope, the calendar definitely says it is Friday.

The wedding was amazing!!! Jen looked so beautiful and Jake is adorable. When you put them together --♥♥♥♥♥ The ceremony was supposed to be outside and it looked like the weather was going to cooperate until a half hour before. When we left our house (45 mins away) clear skies, a few clouds. As we got closer, the clouds turned that ugly purply-grey color. I looked at the weather radar and it seemed like we were skating right underneath the storms- until we had to make a turn and drove right into it. We parked and by the time we got inside it was just staring and then bam-- crazy strong winds and downpours and leaves flying everywhere. Thankfully, they had an indoor backup plan.

The ceremony was the best of both of them. They played Rock Paper Scissors to determine who spoke their vows first. Jen won and the vows were perfect "Jen." Then Jake spoke and he was so emotional and holding back happy tears that everyone was getting teary. I was in awe at how perfect and wonderful everything was. Cait and Tom were out on the dance floor almost the entire time and she *glows* when she looks at him. One of my favorite parts was a dedication to the Knoebels Crew. There is a song that the 6 of them (Jen/Jake/Cait/Tom/Scott/Sam) have taken on as theirs. Cait and Tom had it played at their wedding and such a fun tradition to see the six of them on the dance floor again.

I don't think any of my pictures came out good but that's fine. (took a peek, most are blurry, but I think I got a goodish one of the 6 ♥ )

I am cleaning for my friend this afternoon and hope that I can get Oscraps/Weis work done this morning.
Tomorrow I am supposed to be heading down to visit with BFF. Nothing planned for Sunday and then Monday, I am working on my cabin if the weather cooperates.

I'm still in a little funky mood but the wedding reminded me of the best things in life. Friends and family. ♥
And that includes you!
:lovey3:

@faerywings sounds like things are not any better for you...I wish it was better. Sounds like you really need that wedding to cheer you up. They are always such happy events with so much to look forward to .
I wish you could join us for the relaxation and exploration of our travels. I'm pretty sure you would love the outdoor life.
Big hugs to you
Thanks, the wedding really did wonders. Hope you are having fun at your next stops and enjoy your time unplugged!
Headache lasted all day yesterday. Didn't ease up until church time. It's still there but not like yesterday, thank the Lord! Plus I ended up having IBS issues too. It was not a good day for me.
On noooo :( Better today?
Do you and Mark have any fun plans for the weekend? Any long bike rides?
Today will be a bit like yesterday and I love it. Sunshine, almost 70° again and nothing on the schedule but a video chat with surgeon. Crazy to think I'm six week out from the second surgery. Time crawled for the first four weeks but now its flying. No big plans for tomorrow either. Just going to enjoy the day and stay home.
What a perfect weather day for AK!

Wow... long day yesterday. The DDs were over at grandson's house working until 1AM this morning!!! I stayed up waiting for them to get back here. DD#3 was going to drive home (20 miles away) then but it was pouring rain, thunder and lightening and streets flooding. And car accidents blocking 2 major streets. Glad she was smart enough to stay here. Had thunder/lightening most of the night and rained until around 6AM...
Is there light at the end of the tunnel for the house repairs? They must be exhausted from working nonstop.
Oh there-- I see that they have a few more chores but it's winding down. That's good news.

@tanteva So glad that you are back at work at the library! Love the book too. What does the title translate to? "Don't Put Ketchup on Your Spaghetti!" Or perhaps "Chris Hates Ketchup!"
:floorlaugh:

We're laying low today and tomorrow. Mark is working on reorganizing the (his) garage, (right? so much for laying low?) and I weeded half the bed in front of the house this morning. The dogs do not like the fireworks and they're going off around already, so we're happy to be staying home. Definitely homebodies.
Same, same, and same. So much for laying low and my dogs hate fireworks too. We are also homebodies and I like that very much.

Haha, thank you! For sure it is a place to relax, sorta - but for sure it is VERY peopley and. very "Kidsy". I like it all, it's a great little community but sometimes when I just want to sit, read and not be social I wish for the days when I didn't know anyone. :couchhide::wardrobehide: :floorlaugh:
Sooooo with you!!!!

LOL-ing at you and Tracy. You ladies are too cute!

HAGD!!

I got teary just reading about the wedding! I ALWAYS cry at weddings!

HAGD!!
Headache is finally better!
No plans for the day. Just lunch out. I got some things to "cook" while at costco yesterday. I use the term "cook" very loosely! I got melons that need to be cut up and I got veggies to make a cucumber salad with. My daughter shared a recipe with me and I knew it would be one that Mark would like. If it has cucumber in it he will eat it....me.....not so much! I also bought some cookies that I split into pairs and froze....chocolate chip, macadamia nut, and oatmeal raisin.

Good Morning!
Happy Independence Day to those in the US!
No plans for us today. We are planning to go to lunch after while, but nothing else.
I will be cutting up some veggies I got at costco yesterday to make Mark a cucumber salad that my daughter shared the recipe. The dressing is 1/3 c. sugar, 1/3 c. vinegar, 1/3 c. oil

Headache is finally all but totally gone. One that is quite manageable without meds, for the most part.

Laundry is done, folded, and put away for another week.

Roomba ran but docked pretty quickly, so I think I am going to have to get a new battery for the old gal. Asher HATES her!

After lunch I will start cutting up the veggies and make the salad and then spend the rest of the day scrapping, I hope!

I bought cookies at costco yesterday and divided them by 2's into bags and stuck them in the freezer to pull out and snack on at will! 6 dozen (I think...I didn't count them before eating some of them! ;) ) I froze 27 bags of 2, so I am assuming costco packed them up as 6 dozen at $23.....I normally would NEVER pay that much for such a thing, but I splurged since we got a cash back check from them that paid for the cookies! ;). So that averages to less than $1 per snack bag! I'm good with that!

Have a great day!

Morning, gals. Woke up to see puddles on the patio from an early morning rain but now the sun is shining. My area of town has had 1 1/2" and then 2" of rain the past 2 days. But there is a break in the monsoon rains for the next week and temps back into the high 90's again.

No plans for the day... will have a quiet relaxing day reading and/or watching movies. I may even nap a bit to get caught up on my rest. DD#1 is spending the next few days with her son and DD#3 is back at her house with family. So I will be settling back into my normal routine. Talked to my Sister... she welcomed her first great-grandchild 2 days ago. She is planning a trip next month to fly to the east coast to see him and the family.

I have been printing out LOs for Hubby's Memory Albums. I was a year behind so had a lot to do. Just over halfway though them when the printer started missing the blue color!!! Did a nozzle clean but that didn't fix it... so had to do a head clean and clear the tubes. Finally got all the colors printing correctly. I may work on the rest of them today. Need to clear space in the family room bookcase to put His 4 Memory albums.

Good Morning Ladies!
Another beautiful bright sunny day!!! Headed toward 70° again.

This sounds like it was an amazing night and just what you needed. Friends, love and laughter. So glad they had a back up plan since the weather didn't cooperate.

Glad the headache is mostly gone. Sounds like you've been busy. Hope you get to chill and scrap the day away!

YEAH you finally get a break and rest. I would be napping too after everything and the late nights.

Not much happening on the Homefront. Will spend more time outside reading and enjoying the sunshine. I might go without my compression and get some sun on my white legs. We had a stupid LOUD bird this morning. Ruined out cool air flow. He was SO loud and obnoxious that we had to close the window. Of course we could still hear him. Hubs wasn't sure what kind of bird but it was angry about something and letting the whole world know. 5 a.m. is NOT when I want to be woke up!!! For sure need that extra coffee today. Not sure I will get anything done but the laundry that has to be done. Its summer! Three beautiful days in a row. Feeling extra spoiled. Its sad to be loosing daylight already :giggle4: But we still have 19 hours of sun. Off to get more :coffeedrinker:
