Happy Friday and Happy 4th of July Weekend to the USA peeps.

Sorry that I didn't make it back in here yesterday. It was a busy day! The walk/yoga was different but very cool. It wasn't the same as the one we did last year, although I imagine the Tues night walk/yoga will be.
This one is about focusing on the elements. We walked while contemplating the concept of Space, and how it related to us in the moment. Then we discussed any revelations that we had, and did some standing yoga poses related to Space. I noticed how I typically need a lot of personal space and stayed away from the other women, but with Cait, if I strayed to far from her, I would "feel" a pull to get back right next to her. There is no boundary of personal space between us which is cute. We repeated this three times and ended up at the Lily Pond at the Gardens, sitting in Lotus pose. What a beautiful way to start the day. I will def. be doing that again next week.

When I got home I had 2 hours to get the housework/dinner prep taken care of before I hooked up to my IV. Then I had to cook dinner attached to the IV pole which is always an interesting feat. Gary laughs and says it is me "IV Pole Dancing." LOL

Today- the weather looks to be amazing! I think I will try to get a bit of yard work done and then work a bit on decluttering my room/office areas.
Scott and Cait are both working tonight, but they will be off tomorrow due to the holiday. Sadly for me, I think they both are making plans with friends and won't be around much. I know, it is what it is and all part of growing up. Doesn't mean I have to like it all right??

I hope that all of you have a wonderful Friday!

From Thursday:

Nancy- it was beautiful yesterday, sunny and low humidity. It is really July in NJ??? hahah!!!
Good for you getting your photos uploaded and cleaned off of your computer. I have so much I should declutter from that too. I hope that the Devils new players kick some butt next season! If not, sounds like they have a lot of new blood so to speak and as they mature with the team you will have some good years ahead.

Trudy- I am sorry that your Canada wasn't relaxing by the lake with the IL's but I am sure that it was nice to be able to be ready for the g-kids!!!
DQ is crazy expensive! But their dipped cones are yummy.
If you get to the Framer's Mkt, try the local honey. It is so much better than the store crap (which I also buy to put in my tea, but I don't know why I waste my $$). The seller that we got this one from sells 5lbs for $30 and if you return the jar, you will get $5 off the next one, which makes it a great deal.

Sharon- Biscuits with the honey on them sounds drool-worthy!!! He also had lemon, mixed better, peach, and cinnamon infused honeys. The mixed berry was really good and the lemon!! wowza!!
I knew you weren't hinting, that isn't in your nature. I am going to have to go on Instagram and Follow you if I am not already. Grilled salmon is so good! I have been also craving grilled shrimp. :hungry: Sadly- neither are in my grocery budget.
I hope that the eval for Clara goes well.
I remember when Cait was really delayed on talking- they said a lot of babies/toddlers will do those things when they are ready esp if they are getting by doing what they are doing successfully ie: can communicate w/o words or can crawl faster instead of walking. Toddlers are strong minded for sure!

Speaking of toddlers I have to go see what Jaida is up to!!!

good morning - a lazy start to the day just watching tennis LOL! But do have to get the lawn mowed. Yesterday was nice temperature wise but it was totally cloudy. Still got in a good walk. My car did well at the mechanics as my son does the work. There was a recall and that is now done and now my car is heading down to DC and then the Carolinas with my son. He is going to meet his girlfriend's father a retired Marine. That should be interesting. I think they are both (he and his girlfriend) tense with how it will go. Today seems like a Sat to me as my DH is home. I got a page done yesterday as I am now trying to finish up my album from my Florida trip back in April. My son came over last night as he wife had gone to her parents for fireworks. My son still does not like fireworks too much of a reminder of being in a war. Saw a sign on Facebook I think that was a reminder to others that some veterans really do not do well with fireworks that are set off illegally. Which is sad because I really love fireworks and this is the only time of the year to try and get good photos.

Chris your yoga stroll sounds really well done. I don't think it would be so beneficial if you did not really try to do as the instructor suggested! Have fun today out side. It really does look like a glorious day!

Trudy so sorry that you did not get you time at the lake but still now you are totally ready for the invasion. And yes there wee a lot of changes in the teams on free agent frenzy day. Boston won't be the same without Lucic but I am learning that teams change often in ways we fans don't like. I heard one of the new players heading to Boston Matt Belesky say that one of the positives going to Boston is that there is a lot to do. Maybe there is too much to do and that is why young players like Seguin and Dougie Hamilton don't do well there. Or management is too strict. But it is a shame to see them lose so many young good players.

Sharon biscuit with honey is one of my favorites. I still go to Kentucky Fried Chicken just to get those biscuits. I am also on instagram and I am now following you. I love instagram as it is an easy way for my relatives out west to see photos. They never get snow so it is fun to post some of those. Your shots are really gorgeous. If you care to follow I am nancyr5213. My youngest was walking at 18 months but never on his own only if he was holding some one hand. Finally one day he just let go and then he was on his way. I am sure that Clara will walk when she is ready.

Have a great day all!

Wow...a foodie day. The lemons you mentioned, Chris, reminded me that we recently started squeezing lemon into our diet cola (I KNOW...not good for us, but once a day as necessary as coffee...at least in the summer). Oh MY! SO refreshing! And Nancy, I LOVE KFC biscuits. I have been known to cheat and buy them for guests. I never CLAIM they are my own, but I don't volunteer where they come from! LOL

Thanks for the encouragement about Clara everyone! I'm cautiously optimistic that all is well, but when it is your beautiful grandchild, there is always a nagging thought in the back of the mind. It was her next older brother that had to be under observation for over a year because his head was larger than "normal." He's fine. We're a family of big-headed people!

Had the pool to myself again until my last 3 laps, when a swarm of young people came to practice for a meet. Still had my lane to myself.

My DD (in Utah) and I collect coffee mugs from places we've been or lived. There, of course, are no mugs for the little town she lives in (Eagle Mountain), so I took a picture of her valley, with mountains in the background, and the town barely visible, and had coffee mugs made. They came yesterday, and look AWESOME! I'm going to surprise her by just sending hers to her, and it is killing me to not give it away.

Chris, I'm LOL at the thought of your pole dance cooking! What a hoot! Glad you can turn THAT lemon into lemonade.

Nancy, thank you for your Instagram handle. I'll pop over there right after I finish here and pour another cup of coffee.

Trudy, (she of Cross-Posting) the hair conditioner you recommended works great. DD got some for her 9-year-old DD with LONG THICK TANGLY hair, and it works great for her too.

I will have to go out in the scorching heat today to go to the post office to mail the mug, but other than that, I plan to hole up in the house again until it is time to put steaks on the BBQ.

Keep cool!

Morning ladies... Tonight my son and his beautiful family arrive!! Can hardly wait!! But it is so stinking hot here that I am afraid the kids won't want to play outside at all. Oh well we will have to see what they want to do I guess. After a week of being on Shuswap Lake they might be all swimmed out LOL. We hope to take them to the air conditioned theatre on Saturday to see the Disney Pixar movie " Inside Out" it looks so cute!

Chris - Sounds like your yoga morning was so great!! I wish I could have joined you! Hope your pole dancing went well too :becky: Enjoy your lovely weather today!! We are supposed to be even hotter than it has been and no relief in sight. I bought some of the local honey from the farm market, but did not see any infused with different flavours, still the honey was so good and if we bring back the jar they will refill at a discount too! Here are the pics I said I would post of the mud station and sandbox, I hope after all of this work that they actually use them LOL!! So the first is the mud kitchen, then the sandbox and one with the lid closed on the sandbox.

Nancy - Sounds like a nice relaxing day for you today, except for the cutting the grass of course. Glad we got ours done the other day, it is too hot to be out there cutting it now! Sad that your son is reminded of the war when he hears and sees the fireworks, but I imagine it would be un-nerving for him for sure!! Hope that you still get to enjoy them though and that you get some great photos!!

Sharon - I am so glad that the conditioner is working well for you! I just love it and so glad that I don't have to use a liquid conditioner when I shampoo my hair!! This one is so easy, just spray and its done!! I bet your pool is very busy with little ones with all this heat that we are getting. Glad that you still had your lap lane all to yourself though. Staying in out of the heat sounds like a great plan!! Hope you get to the Post Office before it is unbearably hot!! Yum steaks for supper tonight, wish I could join you!! :becky:

Ok ladies I am off to clean bathrooms and spiffy up the indoors for the what reason I don't know, two minutes after the grands are here it will be a disaster area LOL but thats ok by me!! Have a fabulous Friday everyone!!

Trudy! Love your Mud Cafe and sandbox. I'm sure they will love it. Kids don't seem to mind the heat as much as we adults do, so I bet they have a blast.

Post office and grocery store DONE...and 77* already.

Trudy! The mud room and sandbox look so wonderful. I'm very impressed. Sure hope the kids have fun. I just read a review of "Inside Out" and it sounds like a fun movie. Wishing you some cooler weather. Ours is warming up a bit.

Chris, the yoga walk sounds intriguing. Undoubtedly a good way to start a day. Especially one later involving IV pole dancing. :eyebrows: Great to have a DH who can bring humor to your life! BTW, I think your mojo returned when you did your July pages. I think they're all very good.

Nancy, loved the page from Florida. It's nice seeing your trips unfold in your pages. Sorry your son can no longer enjoy the fireworks, but it sure seems to make sense why.

Sharon, can one follow Instagram without being signed up? How does that work anyway? Sounds like you're really liking it. I'm so impressed with your swimming that sounds so great. The PT I did in June for my knee has resulted in a set of exercises that are pretty easy to do (as long as they don't make the knee hurt) and have really improved things for me. Never realized how much good could result from small efforts.

Hope it's a good one and the start of a great weekend
