TGIF!!!!
Ya wanna know why? No drs appts for three whole days!!!!!
:bliss:

Uh oh- I'd better knock wood, throw salt, glue mirrors back together so I don't jinx myself!

Yesterday was another day, another drs appt and only more questions than answers. Dr looked over Cait's symptoms and said that her throat/glands were still swollen, but didn't feel that her spleen was swollen. She thinks he was feeling the end of her rib that sticks out funny b/c of scoliosis, since the lower areas he pressed were still tender, but who knows?

He said that strep and mono were going around, and is going to have more blood work done and an abdominal u/s, but doesn't know if it is actually mono. He said something about some people being strep carriers or something-- that they always have strep bacteria and often need to get tonsils removed????

Yikes! We walked out of there more confused than we went in. No to mention-- if it *isn't* mono-- then what the heck is it? All of her Lyme/Bartonella blood work from May was normal.
Something is up with this girl and I can't figure it out. Monday she will have the blood work and u/s and Tues we are off to the dermatologist to see what is up with this brown patches all over her back and stomach. Allergist will be next up on the list. All of this kind of makes me was to hide!:faint2:

My good thing for today is that my mom is coming up. Scott's anniversary with Leah is 4 years on Monday and he wanted to get her some fancy schmancy perfume that she has been drooling over. He didn't realize that Aug is in a few days and was panicking. It was at a Sephora near my mom, so I got her on the Grandma Help Line and she was off and running. She is bringing it up for him today and then we are going shopping at an indoor farmer's market for some fruits and veggies. I honestly do not know what I would do without her.

It is raining today which is great for the drought conditions, and very humid- not so good for curly hair conditions. ;)

I hope that you all have a nice, calm, relaxing kind of day!

ha!! Reading over my days -- they are so freaking boring. I mean, they are all different and hectic- but nothing on any sort of a fun-excitement spectrum LOL
So sorry that y'all have to read about it, it is bad enough that I have to live it, but I apologize for spreading the insanity around. :(

Nancy- How was dinner with the girls? I am willing to bet that you laughed a lot together.
That stinks about the grill, I hope you will be able to fix it easily, but YUM- those chicken breasts sound good. Thanks for the good thoughts for Caitlyn, always appreciated!

Rae- Only a few more hours and you will be off... hugs to you and lots of relaxation vibes coming your way~~~~~ Enjoy the peace and quiet this weekend, I am sure that you will come back recharged.
Wentworth is similar in concept to OITNB, but it is much darker and grittier. Gary and I love it, there are several characters that are "love to hate."

We were blowing through grills every other year too. We got ones that we thought would be good but they didn't last. About 5 or so years ago, we bought a Weber. It is much smaller, no side burners, bells and whistles etc. and was more than the other brands, but it is going strong- no issues at all with it (*knocking wood some more*) So in a way it has already paid for itself since we would have to buy another one by this summer if we hadn't splurged a bit years ago.

Hi jean! I saw a new LOs in the gallery already, good to have you back scrapping! How was the genealogy course? Were you presenting our just attending? But you got a lot of good info and hopefully made some new connections and friends.
Don't be sad about our medical situation. If I didn't go to drs, what else would I do with my time? Bwuhahahah!!!!
Nah, its all good. There are many people who have it so much worse than us. We always seem to get through.

OMG- last night at dinner we were reminiscing of a night several years ago. yesterday, Scott's cell phone got watered along with the daisies at work so we were laughing at all of the times we lost phones, like Cait's down the shore a couple of years ago in a rogue wave attack. Then the time we all got smartphones, since our plan let us upgrade for free. We all installed some light saber app and were playing around the dinner table. Gary's hours-old phone flew out of his hand and crashed on the tile floor, cracking the whole darn screen.
The kids and I were in shock because it was one of the first time in years where Gary was feeling good enough to play and laugh. And then *poof* it was gone.
So see, we always have something to look back and laugh at.... Good times!!hahaha!!!!! :pound:

good morning - we lost power for about 30 min. After having lost power from big storms I sort of panic when the power is lost but I called PSE&G to report the loss and they were already on it and they estimated a 6:30 am restore and it was back on by 6:45 am so I think that is pretty great! No bad thunderstorms just rain which is needed and the temperature should not give above 81 degrees. Yea the heat wave is over! I hope to get Luther out after the rain passes through. Had an awesome dinner with my girlfriends. So fun to catch up! Made it home and watched Hillary Clinton's speech. My favorite line is "with no ceiling the sky's the limit." Not much else on my plate for the day. Hopefully I will get more scrapping done!

Chris I guess with all the medical issues Cait has it is not surprising that they can not determine an answer. I can only imagine how all the interactions are causing a plethora of symptoms. It is a good thing that you have a doctor that knows everything so perhaps they can sort it all out. Tell her to hang in there! Cute story about the light saber app. One has to be able to laugh.

Rae after the long days you have been putting in I bet you DH is looking for a weekend with you and Taz! Have fun!

Jean thanks for the link to the hummingbirds! On one of my birding trips before heading to Big Bend we stopped in the Davis Mountains. It was awesome there. Saw lots of great hummers and other birds! Glad to know you are still scrapping between your studies.

Have a great day all!

Good morning, ladies. I've got another super busy day but there is a light at the end of the tunnel....it's the last day working full time for the second client. Yay. The money was better but I had no life, no time, no energy at the end of the day. Mind you, if I hadn't also been walking the dogs every day, my schedule wouldn't have been so hectic, but then again...it wouldn't have been so much fun. I love to be at the park with the dogs and chatting with the other owners. Since the kids aren't coming out to the trailer tonight, we are going to take a day trip to Anacortes. It should be a beautiful drive, Taz will love new places to investigate and we'll find somewhat to have lunch outside (as we'll have Taz with us). We've never been before so I'm looking forward to visiting this picturesque island. We'll head out in the early morning so you probably won't hear from me tomorrow until later in the day when we return. Since it's Darrell's b-day tomorrow (but not celebrating with family until Monday when we return home), I'll pick up a yummy dessert on the way home and have a BBQ dinner when back at the trailer. Should be a fun day. I'll be working as quickly as I can today to finish up work and get out of here. The border is bound to be crazy today with it being a long wkend. I will be popping out this afternoon to pick up my new 500 mm lens...yay...can't wait. I'll bring it with me this wkend and try it out. It's not so much of a walk-around lens b/c of the weight of it but I'm dying to try it out so hope it won't be too heavy to carry around for the afternoon.

Chris - don't complain about your boring life LOL. Mine is also boring, but I don't mind. There's a lot to say about peace and quiet, and enjoying puttering around the house. I'd love to have the money to travel all over but since I don't, I'm happy to have a home and family I enjoy. So sorry to hear about the difficulty diagnosing Cait's illness. How frustrating.

I'm getting off the computer now for most of the day. Have a wonderful day everyone!

It's afternoon again with off and on light rain. The yards are getting so brown here we really need some. But, I'm waiting to photograph the new drawing until it's better light.

Chris, the class was one I was taking. It was a pretty advanced topic on writing up complex genealogy problem solutions. When it comes to writing I can sure use the help. It was a really good class with great fellow students. I learned lots and am putting some to use right now.

Sure hope it really is a peaceful weekend for you and all. Hoping Cait gets some answers soon & that they're good ones.

Rae, your drive sounds like it will be super and the time off has to be great!

Nancy, hope your weather is good too. Aren't hummingbirds incredible!
