It's a Color Play Friday!! The kits are mouthwateringly gorgeous! They always are, but this palette is outstanding and I am not usually a fan of orange. I have one page to upload but I know I am going to want to do at least one more page. I was able to get a photo of what I think is a Spicebush Swallowtail hanging out on my bee balm yesterday. Its wings are black, orange, and blue so it's a perfect match for the kits.
It was serendipitous that I even go the pictures. I was out with the dogs and walked to the side of the house while I was waiting for them. The butterfly was flitting from flower to flower. As soon as the dogs were done, I ran inside to get my phone and it was still out there. I love how the bees and butterflies love coneflower and bee balm. They spread so easily that I have them all over the yard.

I was sort of cranky for some of the day, mostly feeling annoyed at myself. Why was I annoyed at myself? Who knows. Do you ever get into a mood where you feel like everything you do is wrong? On a practical level as well as existential? That was me yesterday.
I don't feel that way today so that's a good sign (It's still early so talk to me in a while. Especially after Scott and Sam look at an apt today)

It's nice outside ATM so I should try to get a little bit of yard work done early on. It hit 92* yesterday and is supposed to be hotter today. Maybe talking to the bees will perk up my mood. There's an enormous bumble bee that has been flying between my yard and across the street. How in the world can they fly when they have so much pollen stuck to their little legs?

I think that's enough ramblings for this early in the morning. I'll shut up now. :lol23:

@vickyday I hope that the heat wave breaks soon. And that Mark is careful when he is out in the woods and brings lots of water. How are you doing with your scrapping, getting lots of pictures organized and ready to go?

@BrightEyes Wow, you were 26! It's so strange, you look so grown up and then I realize that my kids are right around the same age and they seem so much younger. I wonder if it is a generational thing or a mom perception thing or both? My money is on both.
I am in awe of how you are able to piece together people and stories. You have a great system down with being organized and on track.
How are your pain levels doing, staying under control even with scrapping?

@bcgal00 Sorry that you are not getting any break with the weather. I had actually seen a post online yesterday and thought of you. It was about how natural fibers (cotton/wool) are much better to wear in the heat because they are more breathable which makes total sense. But apparently, there are wool t-shirts that are good for the summer too. It feels very counter-intuitive but then I remembered how my feet sweat much less when I wear wool socks when I am hiking. Just throwing it out, something to think about.
The day at the farm is my kind of day! I can't wait to see the pictures. You are very generous and kind that you share your photography with others ♥
The most important thing to remember with ACDSee is to only move files and folders within the program. If you use Windows Explorer, you lose the metadata. You can usually get it back but that can be complicated.

@Cherylndesigns Oh no, another day of not being sure if Casey was coming to clean LOL Did she show up? At least you knew for sure that you had the correct day of the week. Halfway through the day, I wondered if I put the date correctly here. Could not remember what I typed for the life of me. :D
The attorney review should be done by today and the contract says the closing is set for Sept 3 :thud: I know they usually get pushed back but it seems crazy that they should *knocks wood* be in there before the Halloween season. I need to find a comedy/tragedy mask emoji, kind of how I feel heh
Bet it feels fantastic to have everyone back home again.

@LSlycord Hopefully you will have time to visit Syd and she will be able to come home often. The house Cait is buying is 10-15 minutes from here which makes me very happy :cloud9:

What a fun time... just love COLOR PLAY time!!! dance4 dance3dance4 Had to take the time to upload the 4 Color Play LOs I made. Felt like I almost back to normal... Although I must admit they took me longer to scrap. Had to spread out the scrapping on them over several days.

Thanks, Chris. I think it is " a mom perception thing" that your kids seem younger at the same age. :giggle4: Can't wait to see your Color Play LO. Don't blame you for wanting to scrap more with the CP collections.
The hands are still a bit 'iffy' and ache if I scrap very long - so take lots of breaks.

I'm in a funk today, too. Had a rough night and not feeling great today. This, too, shall pass. Hope you are still doing better. :hug4:

I'm with you! This heat is AWFUL!! Mark is careful to drink lots of water when he is working, but it has been too hot even for him. He didn't go to the woods until almost dark last night. The temperature was still 92*!
I started working on some pages after going through my pictures but ended up going to lunch with Mark, then got a few groceries, then Ilene and I went to Carolyn's for the afternoon. I'm not feeling it today.

Afternoon, all.

I have had the best time with this month's CP. I almost hit my limit of 5 per day. I posted 4 of them before midnight and 4 after midnight. I can only post one more today and I have 2 more designers that I promised LOs to. LOL At least I can put them on the social media sites. This month's color are MY faves - bright - oranges, blues, did I mention bright???

Chris @faerywings it sounds promising about the kids' house. If they have a closing date set, that's a good sign. Those two will have such a great time decorating for Halloween. I'm sure you're salivating over that, too. You probably won't be over there helping that project, will you??? :floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

Yes, life is heating up again on the ranch. Everybody is back except Roger and he gets back tomorrow. The kids got back last evening and Alyssa said she was coming down this afternoon to tell me about their trip. Yes, Casey did come yesterday and we had the day right. You and I are getting so much better on the days, aren't we??? :banghead::banghead:

Kay @BrightEyes I'm SO happy that you feel like scrapping again and your "speed" will return. You can crank them out, girl. You're been resting and taking care of yourself and that's what you should have been doing. This month's CP has all our mojo running at full tilt.

Vicky @vickyday sorry you're not feeling up to par today. Hope you get over your funk.

I've got to run - I posted 4 layouts in the gallery last night and was too tired to put them on FB and everywhere else. They're just in our gallery. Hugs to all.
