Daily Ooos: Friday, July 18

Woo hoo. It's Friday!
It is also sunny, 70* and not as humid. I could not wait to turn the ACs off and open the windows this morning. I hope it stays like this all day. Not that we will be here for much of the day. We are going to drop Cait's car at the dealership and then visit with the ILs. I hope that the car gets fixed quickly. They said it would be a same-day deal. *fingers crossed*

I was mentally all over the place yesterday. I had a bunch of stuff on my to-do list, and in between that, I tried to keep the dogs calm whenever they saw the patio guys out the window. They will be back tomorrow and then on Wednesday, and hopefully that's it.
I scrapped a page, tagged some stuff in ACDSee. then it was time to cook dinner. One of our favorites, but not one I make often. It takes *forever.* It's Roasted Brussels Sprouts and Cauliflower in a Hoisin and Coconut sauce. Takes close to two hours, start to finish and cleaning up as I go. Even then, I still have all of the baking sheets to wash this morning.

Tonight is leftovers and for that I am grateful!

I missed posting in this thread yesterday. I slept in until 8:45AM and DD#1 slept in until 10AM!!! Guess we were both exhausted from all the errands, etc we did on Monday and Tuesday. So we had a very lazy day reading and resting. DD#1 went back to her son's house in late afternoon and spent last night there. He has a doctor's appt this morning and she is going along. Not sure if she will stay at his house tonight or come back here.

I am glad to hear you both slept in and took it easy- at least for a day

Today is my parents' anniversary - so am missing them. Dad died in 1994 and mom in 2014. They had 57 wonderful years together.

@vickyday My goodness, did you even stop to breathe the other day?? I was exhausted reading what you did. How exciting to get invited to FL with the family!!!

I was feeling it by last night, LOL! I still need to run to Wild Birds Unlimited today. Didn't make it there yesterday.

Good morning,
Been awake since 5:30 when DH left for work. Couldn't go back to sleep, so I got up. Booked a hotel for one night for our trip to FL next month. My daughter invited us to spend several days with them at Cape San Blas. So we will split the trip in half and stay the night in GA. Looking forward to spending the time with my daughter and her family.

Today I need to take the trip to the Wild Birds Unlimited. Didn't make it there yesterday. And the rest of the day will probably be spent redoing the Bike pages I'm missing. My mojo is not there because I hate redoing things! Some of the pages are pretty bare element-wise because I just want to get them done with minimal embellishment!

OK, need to get going. Not sure if Mark will want to do lunch today or not or just keep working so he can get home. They are covered up with work lately and he has been working Fridays and even Saturdays sometimes. He's not used to that, LOL! He is usually in bed by 9:30!
