Another HHH weather day. And it is still sooo very dry. We have been trying to keep up with watering some of the plants but we have to be careful with the well water. Scott says it is really concerning that so many of the streams where he hikes are dry. Yesterday I finally decided to move the vervain that popped up in one of the front garden areas. It was really difficult to dig it up, the soil was more like brick and I ended up "chiseling" it out.

My house smelled so darn yummy all day, Gary's vodka sauce was taste-tested and got 100% approval. So incredibly delish. He got the good job, I had to scrub out the cooler that had been sitting in the gross basement since the last time Scott used it for camping.

Party Call Hotline Update From My Mom: Twice yesterday. The second one was less than 5 minutes so that was good. Neither were about the cake, now she is asking me about serving utensils and coffee pots. And a coffee scoop, have to pack that.
Caitlyn is going to be in charge of her when it comes to wedding plans. (No, I wouldn't do that to Cait, she gets stressed way too easily :D)

All I need to do today is bake the breadsticks and get all of the food ready to put in the car tomorrow morning. I have a list of the last-minute things/stuff in the fridge. I feel pretty good about it all. This afternoon, I am going to give myself a manicure. Caitlyn got me a UV nail polish kit. I borrowed hers a few weeks ago and holy moly, the polish really lasts a long time. Between cleaning and gardening, you can imagine how hard I am on my nails. She got me my very own kit. :)

Wishing everyone a fab day!! xoxo

It's a nice morning here. But it won't last...the humidity and heat will be going through the ceiling. But I'm on the internet and so life is good. And Brian is going to deal with the company that cut the cable...even if we get nothing, at least we will battle them...and when I say "we" I mean "he". Normally that would be me but since he isn't working, he is picking up some of those things and that's a relief for sure. Leaves me more scrapping time!

Oh @faerywings, can't believe that the party is actually here. I guess the one thing that we have learned in the pandemic world is that things aren't how we plan very often.

((hugs)) ladies! Have a great Friday!

@tanteva anything older than Sept 2011?

@bcgal00 I can't wait to show Caitlyn the photos that you posted on FB. They are just amazing!
I am relieved to hear that you are slowly improving. I 100% know what you mean, having dealt with undiagnosed Lyme for years and years was horrible. So many misdiagnoses, undiagnosed, *non* diagnoses. Hopefully, things will resolve quickly and you can rule out some of the scarier ones.
I hope that the trailer gets sold quickly, glad that it wasn't too much for J and D to clean up.

@BrightEyes Bwuhahahaha!!! That is too funny about the coffee at the RH lunch. I used to be the one that set up the coffee pot every night but then Gary took over a few years ago. When he got Covid/had to isolate, that was back on me and I couldn't remember what the ratio was. I had to ask! I am *pretty* darn sure I wouldn't have used as much as she did. ROTFL!!!
Glad to hear that you are resting and taking breaks with your knee.

@taxed4ever wow, that was a long hike but must have felt amazing, did you post your LO yet?
I have to tell the truth about my cleaning my friend's house. I didn't knock over any weapons but I *did* knock over a "horror baby." He also collects horror decor, and I bumped into a 2-headed baby doll. At least those are not a danger to my health and safety!!
And yes, my friend is a sweetheart, he is really one of the nicest people in the world.

@Cherylndesigns I saw your pocket page of the girls!! OMG, those pups are toooo cute!! Oh totally with you, dogs are family! In some cases, dogs are *better* than family hahaha!!!! I was telling Gary how it has to rain soon because when W rolls around on the "lawn" she kicks up dust and dead grass, then lays on our bed. ;)

@LSlycord thank goodness the internet came back, I don't; think I would have Brian mow at all until the line gets buried :D
OMG- how true, however her cake looks, it is going to be 120% better than mine did!!!
Ya know, that isn't a bad idea if Cait and Tom want to have an "afterparty" here. Thanks!

Linda- that is for sure, things really don't; go as planned. I woke up this morning and thought my throat felt scratchy and freaked out for a second. But it's fine.
I hope Brian is able to get what needs to be done with the company./
PS: Check your calendar again, you are turning into me, date-challenged ;)

Real quick in and out... spent all yesterday copying and deleting files. Still have a few designers' "retired" files to do today. Then I will move on to retired Designers no longer in shops. Good thing I make lists as it lets me see the progress as I cross off those I have done. Finally down to just under 2 TB... it was at 2.47 TBs when I started the clean-up so that is good progress. And, yes... the computer is getting faster.:p Been remembering to empty the recycle bin several times a day, too. I need to bring some Music CDs in from the family room. I have played all the ones I have in the office more than twice yesterday so need something new to listen to as I work. It will be another long day resting the knee as I work on this project.

Morning, lovelies.

Chris @faerywings you sound like you're very organized. And only 2 phone calls yesterday. LOL Your mom is in "final mode" if she's worrying about coffee pots and serving utensils. Wonder how many calls you'll get today? I'm gonna say 2. Gary's sauce smells wonderful - I can smell it all the way out here.

It's pretty dry here, too. Daisy just had her grooming this week, so she's not too bad when she comes in. Her fur is like lamb's wool, though.

We're going to Muskogee today - all the good stores are there. I know we're going to TJ Maxx and not sure where else. We haven't been over there for awhile - that's where Adrienne's car got stolen! Lightening doesn't strike twice, right? We're driving our car today.

Chris @faerywings aren't the girls the cutest? That bigger lab is Ava's bf's - his name is Bear. They're all so cute together.

Linda @LSlycord glad you have your internet - it's terrible not to have any internet at all!

I'm going to get going here - I have another layout for Lilach that I got done late last night and want to get it uploaded. It's the kitten (one of the two Stormie had) he's SO darned cute. A gray tabby and they call him Stripes. Adrienne decided to keep him - the other kitten was adopted by one of the kids' friends.

XOXO

You're doing so well with your files, Kay! I'm working on cleaning mine up when I have a few minutes to spare. It's a big job.

Horror dolls, too??? I'm sure this guy loves that museum in DC where they have all that kind of stuff. When me sister lived there, we went to visit a lot and the girls always had to go there. They called it "The Freak Museum".

Good morning ladies... Ok how did it get to be Friday already??? Today I am putting in my final Norwex order and won't be selling any more. The website back office is costing me too much to keep and I just am not getting many orders, certainly not enough to justify keeping it. So I have to get that done and finalized today. I have a good friend that I can still order what I need through and I have so much stuff on hand I should be good for quite a long time. I will miss the discount that I get though. I hope to get some time to do another layout today. Other than that a bit of walk and see what I can find in the freezer for dinner tonight. It is a bit cloudy and cooler here this morning, but it made for a great sleep without constantly throwing off the covers all night.

@faerywings - The countdown is on!! Glad that you Mom is in the final stages of calling you LOL. I think it will be a couple more calls today, just to be on the safe side. Sure great that you are being so organized and will be ready to go tomorrow!! It will be a great party I am sure! Yummmm Vodka Sauce, I can smell it here too! That is so wonderful that your friend is such a sweetie, guess you can't judge people by what they like to collect LOL. I hope that the humidity is not so bad for your party tomorrow, no fun being hot and sticky all day! Enjoy your time with all of your family and friends!!

@LSlycord - So happy that you are back to having your internet!! Good that Brian is now able to deal with some of the more annoying things that come along! Why on earth would the company not have that cable buried?? Oh well it is fixed that is the main thing! The temperature on our walk the other day was a very nice 21 degrees Celsius so approx. 69 Fahrenheit, the humidity was low and we were mostly in the dappled shade of the big trees for the entire time. By the time I got home though the temps climbed a bit a few more degrees, but still comfortable. That is what I love most about our summers they stay pretty mild compared to a lot of other places.

@BrightEyes - Another day of cleaning up your computer! Glad that your computer is starting to run faster now! Good thing that you are keeping a list of what you have done! I did a big clean up of old kits a few years ago and glad that it is done, put a lot of things on CD's but ended up chucking them because I never looked at them again after a few years. They were just taking up space.

@Cherylndesigns - Hope that your DH remembers to cancel the Fubu that is a lot of $$ for a monthly service! Of course dogs are a part of the family!! I never thought of my daughter as a dog person, but guess who Poochy sleeps with LOL.

Well I suppose I will grab another coffee and get busy with this final order. Have a great day everyone!

I'm saying dry pasta never gets old, Urban says I should throw it away. First argument we've had in our marriage. ;)

Good morning ladies. I am slowly starting to feel better. I was tired yesterday so had a two hour nap in the afternoon but other than that I felt pretty good. My back is bugging me a bit more than normal but not surprising since any position for long periods of time is not good for me and a week of lying down a lot was bound to take its toll on my back. Good news is that it is bothering me but I can still function, just a little slower and being really careful with posture, wearing a brace. What is really bugging me is the 30 or so bug bites I got when I went on my early morning walk a few days ago. They weren't mosquitos but maybe gnats or something. I have single random bites but many are in clusters and they say that gnats do that and they were small and black like gnats. Ugh. I have been using two different anti-itch creams but am going back to the drugstore for more.

The driveway widening will be finished today. I cringe at what the bill will be but its out of our control, it will be whatever it will be. At least that will be done and parking will be easier.

We might go out for dinner tonight with friends. I'll see how my back feels after I run errands later. Other than that, a quiet day. Maybe a dip in the pool later. Its hot here now and that cool water feels good.

@faerywings Tomorrow will be wonderful! Sounds like everything is on track and hopefully your mom calms down today and doesn't stress so much.

@taxed4ever I felt the same way about Young Living. The extra costs were taking up too much of the profit for me and not worth it. I stocked up before I quit.

I'm hopping in the shower now and getting on with my day.

@tanteva I agree with Urban. I have smelled old dry pasta and it gets a funny smell.
Yes, we are throwing it away. Googled and it can last 8-10 years after the date. Even with my math skills, I realize it's old. Funny part - it was already 2 years past best-before-date when we moved into the house.

I'm really laid back about the dates on food. (Unless it's fresh meat and such.) I just eat and smile. LOL

Trust me, Trudy, he WILL remember to cancel it! I aske him if they asked for his credit card and he said they did not. That's a ridiculous amount of money!!! I'm glad Heather is a dog person - some people don't even realize they are until they get a dog.
