CHEERY O
Good morning and happy Friday!

This week *flew* by! Crazy, crazy, crazy. I thought I'd have so much free time since I wasn't working any field trips this week. I dunno where the time all went.:takingouttrash: Poof, it is gone! LOL

I think I am 99% prepped for camp so that is great! I placed a few books on Hold from the library and will pick them up when they are available. I should have enough backup books in case some don't get to my library in time. I worked in the yard cleaning up one small area as carefully as I could, since there is a ton of poison ivy. I scrubbed my ankles and arms with Tecnu since I noticed a few blisters on my ankle and calf. Yuck.

Woot, woot-- I also had a little time to do the week 2 AJ page. Week 1 was my connection to my BFF and Week 2 was about my friend across the street. Both pages made me emotional. Can't wait to see how I feel but the time I do Week 4. *laugh-sob-laugh*

Scott came for dinner and I made Gochujang-Glazed Tempeh & Brown Rice Bowls
Caitlyn bought Paprika, the app that I use for recipe organizing and meal planning. She can log in under my account and add recipes that she wants to try. This was one of hers and it was really good! I didn't make it as spicy as the recipe called for cuz I am not a fan of super spicy food. I think I could go a little spicier the next time I make it. I have never cooked with Gochujang sauce before and don't usually cook tempeh, but this was yummy.
I was teasing Gary about how I wish I could go back to just making noodles with butter and cheese once in a while. So much easier. Haha.

I am meeting up at the FP this morning at 10 and then I am going to give my friend a hand at her garage sale this afternoon.
Have a wonderful day!

@vickyday Hope that the rains ease up soon and you don't get water (or any more) in your basement.

@AK_Tracy Soapboxes are always allowed :D
What did you end up doing with your hair? I don't think I will ever have short hair again. I made the mistake of cutting it short when I was pg with Caitlyn, thinking it would take less time.
Heck no, it was awful- curly and straight sections sticking out everywhere. Impossible to pull back and just yuck. Soft scrunchies and bobby pins are my besties. :p

@BoatLady Do you feel connected to the world again now that you have internet? *G*
I am seriously anxiously waiting for pictures of the McCabin- it sounds heavenly!

I have to have long bangs to hide the area of my hairline that seems to get thinner. Myhairdresser says it isn;t thinking but it looks like it is to me. So bobby pins to hold it off my face when I hanging around the house or cleaning, long bags brushed to the side when I am out in public.

Good to hear from you again! Glad the internet got connected so you can stay connected! Speaking of which.....you need to check out this month's AJ challenges.....theme is.....Connections! ;)
:giggle4: GMTA!

Hope the yard sale goes well today!

Here I am, arisen from the depths of granddaughter chaos and activity. Seems like we spent most days swimming, as it was usually just too hot to be very active otherwise. We took them to Williamsburg and I had all kinds of plans about showing them history and culture but mostly they learned how to get out and about a resort on their own (except the pool!) which is probably a life skill, too. They had a blast selling glow sticks and beads at the Independence Day fireworks as I helped man the donation collections at the entrance.

I’ve washed all the sheets and towels and returned my office to its normal condition so I can get back on my computer. It appears I have a couple coupons to use, too. I have an exciting day of mammogram ahead of me, whoot . Early morning trail work tomorrow, hoping we can get out before it’s too uncomfortable.

My poor flowers in pots… first it got 100° hot all of a sudden, then they’ve suffered under daily afternoon thunderstorm so they’re waterlogged. I haven’t paid them much attention but maybe I can nurse them back.

I’ll try to keep up now that life is calmer. I hope you all are having a good summer. Lots of patio wine and BBQs.

And what does GMTA stand for? I'm sure you have told us before but my almost 70 brain won't go there this morning. ;)

I love spending time with the grandkids but they can play a number on your long-time-without-kids fortitude! ;)

Morning, all... Woke up at 4 AM with the intestines rolling. UGH!! Let's just say I will be staying close to the restroom most of today! Have no idea what set it off. DD#1 brought us (her son, me and her) a taco bowl for lunch yesterday. She spent the night over at his house so will check with her today to see if either of them had a similar episode or not. Hopefully they don't have it. DD#3 and DD#1 plan on going to see "Superman" at the movies today... so praying DD#1 is okay. She needs a relaxing day now that her son's house iS finished with the repairs.

Yesterday was my hubby's birthday so it was a day of remembering him and missing him. I did manage to scrap a LO of him with a his catch of fish from when we lived on Padre Island. It was for the Challenge #4 - Quote to Wordart. Yesterday was also my Sister's son's birthday (the one who died a week after my Bill). Sis and I had talked on the 9th... and shared a few stories of Bill and Patrick and the birthday parties they had shared together.

I also saw NLD's C est La Fete..Bastille Day bundle and couldn't resist working with it. It was fun to work with another's country's holiday (similar to the US's 4th of July), Plus I have such fond memories of Bill and I in Paris on our 35th anniversary. I love that OScraps is a world-wide community and we have friends who live all over the world.

Uh..oh... nature is calling again!!!!.... UGH!!! BBL

Good Morning Lovely O Family!
Quick! look! The Sun!!!!
Please stay sun!!! While its been nice and warm temps we would love to see you instead of clouds. I promise not to get too many rays on my skin and burn. But free Vitamin D is hard to resist!!!!

This. Exactly. Some months the AJ weeks are emotional and it makes me wonder what will week four be like? Will I survive and get to week four? I love the LO you posted so far.

I cut it! Its sassy!!! I sat down, looked her in the eye and said "I'm sorry" :floorlaugh: She always says you have to give me direction and I said I'm sorry. I dont know what I want but it needs thinned, its too long, I'm tired of it, I dont need ponytails until September when I go back to cooking, I dont know what I want. I want it out of my face. So after talking she was gonna take a couple inches, thin and layer it lots. She asked at one point, short enough and I was like honestly, no so she took another inch off!! Its almost chin length. My goal it to take a photo later today. Will post it so you guys can see.
I’ll try to keep up now that life is calmer.
I'm sorry Terri but....... :floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh: You crack me up! Sounds like you had a wonderful time with the grands though. I bet they had a blast! You tell us all you have going on, which feels like a lot, and yet claim life is calmer. Just struck me as funny cause your calm is still super busy. I hope the temps stay down lower while youre out working.

Oh Kay, I hope you feel better soon. Thats a miserable way to spend the day. Hopefully the others didn't get sick too. I agree, I love the O and its international feel and celebrations. I was looking at NLD's kit and it looked super fun. Cant wait to see what you posted for Challenge 4. Off to look now. :heartpumppink:

Today's pretty simple, laundry, reading, and doing as little as possible. Forgot to start the pizza dough Monday so my youngest teen offered to make the old version of pizza crust. Yeah I dont have to cook dinner, or at least not all of it. Off to grab more coffee and look in the gallery.
Have a great day!

Ha! Thanks for the explanation of GMTA! I just couldn't conjure it up in my old brain!
Can't wait to see your new hair cut!

Alright Ladies, here you go. Its gone. It was longer than the profile photo shows. I think we took off just over 6" of hair. It will look better when the gel/hair dries a bit and I can fluff it up a smidge.
