Happy Friday!!!!!!!

Right now, I am finishing the last of my second cup of coffee, enjoying the quiet house. It's nice.
I am also wondering how my teeth and jaw will be able to take the next four years. The stress is insane. :gaah:

So yesterday was another mixed bag of what I try to call "Life." LLMD visit went well for me. She is happy with the direction that I am moving. Slowly in the right direction. I complained that I was frustrated about how slowly, and she said that I *could* increase my Tindamax dosage but she didn't recommend it. She thought it would be too much for my body to handle and I agree. My hand strength finally got out of single digits too. Gotta be proud of the little things LOL

Gary OTOH- he had stopped taking his abx and the rest of us could tell but he was insisting that he was fine. She looked at his labs and said that his Bartonella titer was (literally) off the chart. In fact, it was a new infection because it was higher than it ever had been. Great. Maybe he will be compliant again, I am hoping.

We still don't have Cait's car. I had just walked back in the house at 5 pm after driving Cait to babysit when they called that it was ready. We will get it at some point today after I get back from cleaning. And *poof* there goes another $500 down the hole, which was after $350 at the LLMDs. *grumbles*

Leah's mom invited me to go to the movies with her tomorrow and if we can get cars sorted out, I am going to do that. I haven't been to a movie in - sheesh, I don't know? I think it was the 5th Harry Potter? Maybe the 6th. I am proud of myself, I was at first tempted to say no and make an excuse, but I need to push myself out of my comfort zone which is staying home in my pj's.

Gary and I were watching Bones on the DVR and as he was FF-ing through the commercials, there was a promo for a local news segment about how wearing pajamas in public is becoming a trend. I whooped out loud, fist in the air. That is the trend I have been pushing as I ask over and over, why it is not socially acceptable fo adults to wear pajamas everywhere.
Maybe they are onto a fad that I can get behind completely :D

I hope that everyone has a superb day! You all deserve it!

Sharon- where is your DD off to? Have you been to a Sandals before? Gary and I went to Antigua for our Honeymoon and the Royal Caribbean for our 10th anniversary. (*sighs* the good old days... that was right before Gary got really sick). If you have never been, you will *love* it!
How is your dog doing so far?

Nancy- *fingers and toes and Lysol sprays that you don't get sick*
See, I knew that you would have a good time with your friends. :) How was the game last night? Hope it was fun with all of the friends around even if the Devils didn't play that well.
That was smart that your son got a lawyer and a great idea for Heather too.

Trudy- a 4-hour hike in January? You are bonkers! LOL I am sorry that you didn't get any good pictures especially after dragging the heavy camera around.
I really wanted to do some scrapping yesterday but it didn't happen. :( Hopefully, I won't be too tired this afternoon.
I still cannot figure out why my computer is running slowly. Last week I have Gary look at the background processes with me and nothing seemed unusual. Scanned/malware/virus-- all good.
Can you calibrate the monitors at all or is it just the screen resolution that is so different?

Rae- hope you are having a good day!
Same to everyone who stops in!::grouphug

good morning - the Devils did not play badly but they did not win but then I did not expect it as the were playing the Washington Capitals, lost 5-2 with an ENG. We have a new player we got from Anaheim - and he scored in his first game with us. I hope that continues. It was also fun as two of Zach's friends came and sat with us. We all discussed how we would improve the Devils if we were the GM. That was so fun! Had no walks with Luther as my son did it. Poor guy was not happy with me as it was the 3rd day I was gone in the night. But I made up for it this am as we had an almost 2 mile walk. He saw Sophie (part Great Pyrenees) and they had a great time playing and then he met a new dog Henry. He was a little dog and Luther was very gentle. It was so funny Luther and I were walk along when on the other side of the street a little chihuahua who came running across the street. You could tell the owner was worried that Luther would not be nice. But Luther loves all dogs so it was no problem. I think she was shocked. So now have to get some errands accomplished. Hopefully will scrap this afternoon. No hockey for awhile as this is the All-Star weekend. Maybe good to give my team a break.

Chris so sorry to hear that Gary has gotten sicker. I hope he goes back on the drugs even though that it is such a pain. Congrats to you for slowly but surely getting better! Glad the car is fixed! Have fun at the movies. My sister says Hidden Figures is awesome! But she did not like Fences. Just throwing it out there.

Trudy sorry you did not get photos you wanted. But still you were out and about and that is always good.

Sharon I see the miniOs are out today.

Rae hope computer is not giving you problems.

Have a great day all!

Morning ladies,,, I can't stay here long this morning as I am off to he hairdresser today and looking forward to relaxing in the chair and getting pampered! Yesterday was a crazy day with lots of phone calls and texting with my MIL and DD. Heather is having printer problems and so I was busy texting and FaceTiming with her to get that solved. Then MIL needed me to do a favour for her. She wants her vintage dolls sold on one of the Used sites or Varage Sale or whatever and she has no clue how to do that. So I needed a couple of photos for that project that I will finish sometime today. But then FIL was not sure how to send the photos for me :gaah: I think I have showed him a thousand times LOL. Oh well I have to remember to be patient!! I will be in my 80's one day too! (Sooner than I think) :becky: So needless to say I did not make it to my swimming yesterday

Chris - Oh dear I am so sorry that your bills keep adding up and the Gary is not doing well with his lyme checkup!! Baby steps for you, but that's better than getting worse instead of better right? Glad that Cait will be getting her car back, but ugh on the cost!! It really never ends does it! That is strange that your computer is running so slowly, perhaps it is just your internet speed?? I am sorry but I have no suggestions for you. You could always try that speed test online , just type in speed test on your browser and you should be able to find one.

Nancy - DH refused to watch his Bruins last night and wouldn't you know it they actually won the game LOL. Very embarrassed over Brad Marchand's horrible slew foot incident!! Shame on him!! So sweet that Luther is such a gentle giant!! You must just be so proud of him! Nice that you were out for a long walk and saw so many of Luther's friends LOL. Hope you manage to get your errands done!

Ok I have to get out of here for a bit and hopefully I will be back later in the day to catch up with the rest of you!

Wearing PJ's in public- yay!!!
Today I am feeling sorry for myself. I have a condition where my hair falls out. It has been for almost a year. I am taking B-12 for it, but it's still happening. I can do so very little with it and it looks awful. It isn't worth trying to fix because humidity ruins it. Of course the stress of worrying about it doesn't help- lol a never ending cycle I guess. Stay positive!!! Walk the dog!

Good afternoon, ladies. Had a busy morning. The gas company was here this morning as our meter is old and needed to be replaced. Of course, nothing ever goes smoothly LOL. I just raised my eyebrows and shook my head when he couldn't get the furnace to kick in. He said it must be old and I said no, it's only a few yrs old and we get it serviced every year. He was messing around with the electronics for the thermostat so I bet Darrell is going to have to reset that tonight when he gets home. He does not all on his phone app so hopefully he will remember what to do. But he's finally gone, everything seems to be working again. I'm on antibiotics for awhile. Went to my hubs' doctor yesterday (love him so will stay with him now as my GP too) and he checked my sinus infection and swollen red nose. Apparently I have some kind of recurring lesion/bacterial infection that has been building up scar tissue and causing problems off and on since the original infection in 2015. He said each time it flared up I was causing more internal damage to the cells, so good thing it's finally being treated.

I'm heading out to the dog park soon as Taz needs a good run. Then I need to do some computer organizing.

Chris - we watch Bones too; I hate that this is the final season. BTW, totally agree that wearing PJs should be acceptable outdoor wear. I often go out with my jammie sweatpants on if I've got the legs tucked into my boots or if a plain color I will wear them to the store or whatever. I always smile and give someone the thumbs up if I see them wearing their jammies in public. Why not wear them? They are comfy.

Trudy - what....no great pics from your hike? How is that possible? Did the weather turn? Was it a good hike though? I'm still coming out your way this spring to visit. I want to visit the garden and anywhere else that might be fun. I've never been to the island before.

Nancy - I bet that was so cute, watching Luther with the little dog. I always yell out
"friendly?" as we approach new dogs along the trail and if they don't confidently, strongly say yes, I leash Taz and don't take any chances. We've learned that not all owners are responsible and some do keep aggressive dogs off leash and don't care. We had a few owners around here lose their little dogs this past year. It breaks my heart.

Sharon - that sucks about your hair. Do you keep it short? A shorter style might be less stressful to maintain. I have crappy hair too so I know how frustrating it can be.

Gotta get lunch. Have a great day everyone.
