Oh my GOODNESS!!!!
Yesterday went from bad to worse. What a nightmare of a day! My entire street was in chaos. hahahha!!!

I get back from the bus stop and I have a few hours before I head off to work so I figure, let me get some crud done around my house, get organized and all that. Then the HS calls and cait is sick and I have to go pick her up. My car still won't start so I take Gary's With the Muffler Hanging Down. The main road to the HS is blocked off by police so I have to go a longer way down. And that road is also detoured. Gary's car is just about on empty, I realize that I don't have my cell and every bump i hit makes the car rattle a bit more. What should have taken me 15 minutes to get to the HS took me a half hour. Ugh.

When I get home, I ask Gary to check out my car. Tries to jump it-- no luck. My neighbor walks over-- her husband's car died too, something with the stick. Gary looks again at his car and thinks its not the muffler--but its the gas tank hitting the road! Ahhh!!!!!! Scott's car needs a starter but we have been waiting on getting that fixed until he is ready to get his license. My one neighbor is w/o a car, we are down three. My other neighbor who would drive me anywhere is at a hospice meeting for her mom (I told her that of all of us on the street, she still won the prize for suckiest day) so we are all standing around outside in 9* weather trying to figure out what to do.

Thankfully my neighbor mentioned to the guy who came to tow her DH's car that our cars were all broken down too. He had some professional level jump starter and jumped my car, and I was able to drive Gary around town to buy a new battery. I couldn't turn the car off or it wasn't going to start again.

*fingers crossed tight that it turns over this morning or I am going to  and *

But good thought vibes to the car!! You can do it!

After all of that, I went to clean my neighbor's house. He is a the "antique weapons collector" and his upstairs room is literally filled with swords, pikes, sickles, etc- even an Iron Maiden. I left him a note saying that with the bad vibe on my street, I was not going anywhere near that stuff. I was either going to knock everything down, kill myself, or lose a toe!

Do you think I am just a teeny bit happy it is Friday?? Yes, ma'ams I am!!!!

Off to work then pick up Scott's GF before the snow starts. Then me and a glass of wine for dinner!

I better get rolling, I want to take no chances and have the car give me issues again.

Have a great one, love you all!!!

Chris, car troubles are right up there with computer problems, aren't they? worse, because you LITERALLY can't get to anyplace! it sounds like yesterday was a nightmare, but at least you had some company on the street! hope today goes better for you. is the East Coast getting any of thie snow that's on its way here?? 4-6 inches today.oh, goody. :mmph: <- honestly. this is JUST what i've looked like for the last few days. i'm hating winter.

Laurie,
but Phylis the snow makes my birds come to the feeder and amuse me as I clean!!
i'm not a big fan of birds. (except hawks and eagles.) around here, we don't get nice CUTE birds. we get crows & grackles. so. attracting THOSE birds is just another reason to hate snow.

Nancy. 24/7 hockey. whoa! :cheer2:

Trudy, my mojo is totally GONE. ever since i resigned from Anna's CT, my brain, such as it is, has gone on vacation....

Nana, i loved your tea party page!

Terry, i LIVE where it gets really cold, and i have all my life. and i STILL don't do very well with cold weather. i find that, as the winter goes on, i get crabbier and crabbier!! hope your trip out of town is for FUN!

Jen, here's a bouquet of exclamation points for you to enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hope you have a fun, positive energy-filled day.

today it's housecleaning. and maybe a nap. i was up for two hours in the middle of the night and may begin to fade about 1 p.m. today.

have a day filled with good stuff and at least one "for ME" thing. you deserve it.

Chris your day sounds like a day from hell. At least you had company and were able to get to the store to buy a battery. Did it start this morning. Hope today is better!

Phyllis-I am working out of town for the two days. Nothing fun. The appt. I had for 5PM last night cancelled. Bummer. I really wanted to get that meeting over with---the COO of the hospital where we work. When he beckons my presence I think " what did we do now?" never a good feeling.

Today I have to attend the funeral of the SIL of one of my docs. I figure between visitation and the funeral I'll be tied up from 9-12. Probably will stop and have lunch with my docs , try and see if that COO is available, then head home. I want to leave by 2 and get home by 4:30.

Good news- my son was hired by the sheriff department yesterday. Woo hoo! Next stop is off our payroll and move out!

Guess I better get moving.

Yikes, Chris you make the rest of us sound like a bunch of bores!!:bored: No excitement on my street yesterday either! As a matter of fact it makes me wonder, just what the heck did I do with my day yesterday??? I did manage to get a page done and actually posted it!!!! Went for a walk in the rain :rain: Talked to DD on FaceTime, oh ya and watched Brave. Have been wanting to see it for a while and I know MG won't watch it with me so I spent the afternoon in front of the tv. Not very exciting, but it was my day to just do what I wanted so I did!!

Chris - Hope your car troubles are non-exsistent today!! I hope that Cait is feeling better and that the rest of your street has a better day today also!! I don't know how you do it???

Laurie - Hope you have a fun day! As always you amaze me that you do your workout everyday!!

Phylis - You would love to sit on my deck in the Spring and Summer, we have lots of Eagles and Hawks! A pair of Eagles often land on the top of the tree just outside my back deck, they are amazing to watch!! Hope you get to take that nap today, wish I could send you some sleeping powder or something, you deserve to finally have a good night of rest!! Hope your mojo returns to you soon, mine came back for one layout, but not sure if there is anything else in me!!

Nana Linda - Goodness you certainly don't need anymore excitement in your life girl!! I think you have enough to handle already!! Glad to hear that Mike is on the mend! Honestly he wants to shovel snow??? What is it with men??? Did they cancel school because of the threat of snow??? Are you kidding me??? When my kids attended school on the prairie they only cancelled school if it was minus 45 and there was a blizzard!! My kids used to complain, that everyone else got a snow day except them LOL!

Well off to work for a very short three hr. shift today and then to the dentist to have a filling replaced and the rest of my cleaning done. Oh JOY!!! Have a great one girlies!!

Good morning. You ladies have such hectic lives. Not that I am by any means I wish mine was because I have been there. Chris I so remember the school days and kids sick and worrying fitting work around a sick kid. Hope she feels better. Hope the battery made all the difference. Today I have another hockey game and because I am a loyal season ticket holder for tonights game I get to be in one of the suites for an ice cream social. We are playing the Washington Capitals and they have yet to win a game. Odds are they will not lose all their games just dont wont their first win against my team LOL. Still the cold remains.

Chris hope your Friday goes so much better than yesterday!

Phylis and Trudy any and every one welcome to watch hockey with me. LOL

Nana Linda so glad your hubby is doing so much better.

Terry such good news about your son! Congrats!

JustJen - I know it seems weird to say that we pay for our beaches but we have the best beaches, they are clean and well maintained and love all the life guards. But there are plenty of public access beaches that are free. And it is funny in NJ we go to the shore while when I lived out west we always went to the beach.

Have a great Friday!

I am struggling with laundry, and everytime I try the baby starts crying... sigh, you can't imagine the pile I'm dealing with right now, but I will get to it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chris the beaches here are all very clean too... but I guess this is Southern Alberta, not really all that many lakes and beaches nearby, but noone really litters, there's strict laws against that here. But if I had to pay for a great beach, I totally would:) Man... all this talk about beaches I so want summer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
