Good morning and a very, very happy Friday to you!:bounce:

For someone who felt yucky all day, I did get a bunch of stuff taken care of yesterday. Dentist- all good, back in 6 months. Sears- grabbed several paint swatches but now we think that we want to go with a dark green instead of plum, so I want to head over there today and grab some of them. Mammo appt- check! Add in regular house maintenance such as dishes, laundry, scooping the litter boxes, and I would say it was a successful if totally dull day.
I scrapped a page too- the Artsy Template Challenge for Courtney was so much fun. I love artsy templates :)

Today my mom is coming up and bringing food!! She loves cooking for us and anytime I don't have to cook-- Bonus!
I had a horrible nightmare last night too, woke up and my heart was pounding. I was at my mom's in my old bedroom, but Cait and Scott were with me. Cait woke me up in the middle of the night, hearing noises or something. I looked out of my window into the driveway and neither her car nor my dad's were in the driveway and it was 2 am. I knew in the dream she was dead. When I woke up I couldn't remember if my dad was in NJ or at the house in PA, and would anyone know if she died in her sleep and OMG, panic set in. It took me a long time to get relaxed enough to get back to sleep.
I would love to use this as an opportunity to share with her and make her go to a Dr but pfft. Nothing works anymore.

That's it from cold NJ. Hope that all of you have a fun day and weekend ahead!

Sharon- that is great news about your dad. I would have to stay over too. How are you feeling today? I live for my heat pack. Best things ever. :p

Trudy- I would have loved that hike! I will be checking your gallery out soon to see the pics. I don;t even bother with pics from my cell phone. The touch screen is totally wonky so even if I wanted to take very low res. photos, I can't get it to work w/o it locking up.
How was DH's birthday?

Rae- I am happy to hear that the LR issues seem to be better for you. Have you had any better luck with ACDSee? I keep meaning to go back and see if I can figure anything else out but my poor brain is totally on the fritz.

Oh- this is just a PSA if you have any friends who cross the border to shop in the US-- if there are any who are on the list of 7 "banned" countries, the ACLU is recommending that they speak with an immigration lawyer before they cross, just to be sure all of their paperwork is in order so they don't have trouble with Customs and Border Patrol Agents.

Jean- is my car bad luck rubbing off on you? Hope all it needed was a jump start because of the cold.
Thanks for the compliments on my scrap pages. The rats are so darn adorable, I love using photos of them.

Hugs to all of you who pop in!

good morning - I made it to Friday as the puppy carpool lady. I am just amazed at how many accidents occur. First there was my son's. Then yesterday as I am getting off the parkway I see a police and ambulance go rushing on to the parkway and sure enough a bus had flipped and 7 people injured, then on way to my son's was a finder binder and then last night there was a big accident on the street to the grocery store. Now I no why I don't like driving to many places as the chances for meeting crazy drivers increases. Today my son and I go back to get the puppies and for him to learn how to get them to heel and to sit. Should be fun! Then tonight I have a Devils game. They are playing Calgary so I have no idea how this game will go. But I feel like I have no down time. I also have feel like I have been neglecting Luther so yesterday I took him to doggie day care! He was so happy to go and he was happy to go home. Came home and drank and ate and then slept. Too cute! Today he is still a bit tired.

Chris so glad you got so much accomplished! That is awesome! That is one scary nightmare! I bit your heart was racing! Have fun with the home cooked dinner by your mom. She is so sweet! I loved the page with the rats too!

Trudy with having to get the dogs we are cross posting more often LOL. Your hike sounds awesome. Saw the page about the birthday boy! Bet he loved the cake!

Rae sounds like you are getting LR organized slowly but surely! How awesome that the computer is ready for Bailey. I bet she can't wait to get it all set up! That will keep you busy too!

Jean that is the pits about the car not starting. My son gave me a battery pack that stays in the car for just these sort of emergencies. It actually came in handy once when my car broke. They are not too expensive.

Sharon so glad that you got such wonderful news about your dad. And yes spending the night will give you two days to visit and driving will be much easier!

Have a great day all!

Morning O-zies... woke up to a fresh dump of :smow: supposed to get a lot more of it over the next day or so. Sure hope it turns to rain before I head over to the Mainland with my brother and SIL. We are going to visit our sister in Surrey. My brother and SIL are headed to Hawaii and staying at a hotel near the airport, so they wanted to visit with our oldest sister before they head out the next day. I am tagging along because I really want to see the book that my sister has put together of our family history, she has been working on it for a few years now. It should be very interesting! Then brother will take me back to the ferry in the evening so I will just be a walk on passenger and DH will pick me up on the other side. It should be a good visit! DH's birthday was nice and got lots of calls and FaceTime with the kids and grand kids! So nice! He said that was his best part of his birthday  I got him a couple of small gifts and then we went to supper at the Rock Cod Cafe and enjoyed the halibut and shrimp, so good!!! Thank you to all who commented and liked my post on my Facebook page! DH does not do Facebook, but was really thrilled to see all the comments left for him!

Chris - How great that you got so much accomplished yesterday! I loved your page with the rats too! So cute! I am going to do Courtney's challenge soon I hope, she really does have amazing products and I love her artsy templates too! What a horrible nightmare you had!! Wonder what that was all about?? So glad that your mom is bringing you food though, she is so sweet to do that for all of you! Give her a  from me !

Nancy - Yikes! Lots of car crashes in your area! I know it is a real adventure overtime I go downtown here too, usually witness some stupid things that drivers do, it makes you wonder who the heck taught them how to drive?? You are a busy pet taxi driver these days and I sure hope that the dogs are learning to behave better for it! Now to just get your son and DIL to learn also LOL. Bet Luther really enjoyed his time at doggie daycare, but he will be happy to have you back to himself too! Yes DH loved his cake, I however do not enjoy that particular cake so much, it is his whole families favourite and everyone gets it for their birthday. It is chocolate with green peppermint icing and I am sick of it! :becky: But I make it for my son and DH's birthday. Heather is not a big fan of it either, she prefers marble cake or an ice cream cake. I love carrot cake with cream cheese icing!! :hungry:

Rae - Thanks for the compliment on my Anna pages!! I think that you would really enjoy her classes!! How nice that you will be getting the computer all set up for Bailey, she will be so happy!! Hope you are not too swamped with work today! Are you getting this horrible big dump of snow today too?? Ugh snow in February here is usually unheard of, DH says he can't remember ever having snow after his birthday. Bet Taz thinks its ok though LOL.

Jean - Hope that your car got to make it to the service station!! Was it just the battery? We had to replace the battery in our Truck this last month too, always something!! Enjoy your day today and perhaps you will get your errands done today.

Alright I need to find my sweater, looking out at the snow falling is making me cold, maybe a nice warm cup of tea with my breakfast this morning too. Have a great Friday everyone!!

Good morning, ladies. The snow is falling and we'll have a few storms coming through this wkend. I thought we would be done with the snow but I'm happy to see that rather than rain. We're picking up the computer tonight for Bailey. I can't wait to get her set up and start teaching her art journaling, scrapping and editing. I'm working on a few Valentine cards today/tomorrow. Work is going to be busy b/c I'm getting a double load of files sent over but hopefully if I start in a few minutes, I can keep up and be finished by 6:00 so we can go out and I won't have to worry about hurrying home to work more tonight. I'll work on my cards in between waiting for files. The day should fly by.

Chris - no time for ACDSEE this week. I enjoy using it to view folders when in photoshop (like it better than using bridge) but haven't spent any more time organizing or tagging. Enjoy your mom's cooking today.

Nancy - puppy carpool lady...that made me laugh. Isn't it crazy about car accidents? I wonder too about the frequency and situations of some of these accidents. We have crazy drivers here and see really bizarre situations all the time.

Trudy - I wish you were here longer and we could meet up. Surrey isn't that far from me. Sounds like a short trip though and you'll be with your family.

I'm cutting this short so I can go get started on my desk job. Have a wonderful day everyone.

Well I knew there was a cold front. The high today was probably 72 vs. 78!!! and this morning it was 62 instead of 72...that explains it all. If this is the cool front, bring it on. Real winter visited us for 3 1/2 miserable days- killed everything and left. Then fall came for 3 days and it was in the 50's , maybe 40's...enough to turn the heat on. That is it.

Nice day...got on the treadmill and now I have almost 10,000 steps. DD's came over and we made reservations for a Sandals resort vacay with DD and DSon in law. I was thrilled they asked us.

The 4 of us went to grab a beer at the local pub and now DH is taking a nap.

I am ready for our Mardi Gras ball tomorrow night...if my costume fit. lol

Sunday I hope I get to meet Jill Walls of Created by Jill who is coming into town.

Yesterday's car episode turned out OK. Our insurance covers assistance and a man came pretty quickly and got the battery going. Meanwhile DH had made an appointment with the service dept., so he took the car straight there. The battery test said it was the battery and they replaced it. That we did have to pay for. We still had some time when he came home so set off on our errands. We came home actually feeling good as we got everything done, even at the two places that close at 5:00 pm. It was somehow empowering to overcome an obstacle with less hassle than expected. Chris, maybe some of this happens to you with the many times you are called upon to overcome!

This afternoon we popped over to Lake View briefly to look for the elusive Merlin (a small falcon species that has begun wintering in some local spots since we've been birding, so always a treat to see.) And, there it was!! Hadn't seen it since December. Now if it weren't so cold.

Chris, I'm sure food from Mom will have made your day. Sure hope seeing her helped put your fears down a little. Dark green or plum? Sounds like fun.

Nancy, sure don't like all those accidents around you. Hope all is well for your driving and that the Devils get a win. Probably a good thing to get Luther tired out.

Trudy, it must have been fascinating to see the family history book. Hope your weather cooperated and you all had a great visit. Want to hear all about it! Sorry I couldn't comment on DH's birthday, but I don't do Facebook.

Rae, know you will have been busy with work and looking forward to setting up the computer for Bailey. That should be fun.

Sharon, you really know how to rub it in about the weather! Today wasn't that cold, only in the 20s, but windy making it much nastier to be out. Congrats on the treadmill and all those steps. Sounds like you all are having fun and that resort stay will be fabulous!

Hope everyone is starting off a great weekend. I'll be at the historical society pretty much all day tomorrow, so may not check in.
