Is it February or May? Not really sure with this weather. Yesterday was absolutely phenomenal and it looks like today might be even warmer.

When I left my friend's house around noon it was 64*. The kids and I took the dogs to the dog park in the afternoon and it was almost 70*. Today we are supposed to break 70*. I love it and worry about it at the same time. How many more record-breaking temps and trends can the Earth take?

I had a really busy day yesterday. I worked out the supply list with my friend and got the go-ahead to place the order. I think that the girls will like the project. I know that I am excited, even if I am a bit nervous. It has been a long time since I have done any teaching at all.

When I got back home, I knew that I had to take the dogs to the park. Cait and I had discussed a hike, but I know that the Princess J had a *lot* of energy to burn. Scott got home first and when I asked what he thought, he said he was hoping that I would suggest that. Cait came home a little later and was 100% for it. Poor Ray, she does not do well at the park. She barked and even snapped at a dog that came up to close to her. I took her to the Small Dog side so she could watch the dogs play through the fence, but then freaked out when a chihuahua (in a teeny tiny pink sweater no less :D) came up to her. Scott brought her back home after that. She does great on hikes so we will take her on them, but dog park will just be for Jaida.
It was her first time there since before her surgery and her knees looked good! Her fur- not so much. She was a muddy, filthy mess. I popped her (OK-- *dragged her*) into the tub when we got home and she was fine until I screwed up the spray. I thought that the spray was set to handheld but it was at the overhead and handheld and she did not like that- jumped out of the tub, dripping soapy and muddy water everywhere.

Then I cooked a yummy dinner and now I have Scott as a broccoli rabe convert.

Today I *must* work on CT stuff.

Hope that everyone gets to enjoy their day too!

Amanda- how did the errands go? So you have a mini-me too? My DD is altogether too much like me. It was brutal when she was younger, but now that she is 18 and we are very close, it is brutal on the people around us. We find ourselves to be extremely funny. Other people, not so much. :pound:
Good luck with your taxes. I am avoiding mine like the plague.

Sharon- I cannot imagine being right in the thick of it all! How much fun! Did you get a lot of photos?

Trudy- you would have thought that I would have slept like the dead last night seeing how active I was yesterday but not so much. At least I didn't have nightmares. I am back to having them about once a week. :(
But good for you to sleep in and for your Gary to sleep in too.
I hope that whatever snow you might get this weekend melts quickly. All total this winter we have gotten less than 2'- you have gotten way more than that, haven't you?
I don't know if CA has its own version of TurboTax, but that is what I use and it is very easy to do, it walks you through everything step by step.
Good luck with the keto diet!

Rae- That is really nice that you and Jen get to spend time together in the mornings. I love having that time with Caitlyn every morning too. He rats are so cute and awful at the same time that laughing at them is a great start to the day. I am sure that Jen needs that time with you too.
How neat to have a chair custom made like that. Darrell might never get out if it again. LOL

nancy- hope that you and Luther got to spend time outside!
Hugs to all of you who check in! xoxo

good morning - I starting writing yesterday but then got stopped mid post and never got back. Had a great day though. My Devils held an autograph signing for season ticket holders and it was awesome. The Devils in the past had tried to steer us to certain players but this year they let us decide which lines we wanted to stand in. Well the line for Taylor Hall was so long the wait was an hour we I did not want to wait so I went to the lines with the newest players and it was fantastic. Some of the players are so cute. I took my DIL and another friend and it was so fun. We each had people we wanted so we did not stay together but met at the end. Carol brought her Jacob Josefson's hockey stick for him to sign but he was not on the list but turns out he was there so I found her and she got him to sign his stick. She was so so happy! Got Luther out for walks as the weather was awesome. It was weird though as we had dense fog in the morning but gone by lunch. This morning he played with Stella on a walk with my DH and then with Magnum on our walk. So now he is out. And it is so like spring. The birds are singing. It is amazing!

Chris how fun to get the dogs to the park. Sorry that Ray did not do well but so glad that J did well. And a yummy dinner - you rock! You will be awesome showing the girls your scrubs etc. Once a teacher always a teacher!

Trudy saw the page of your hike! WOW gorgeous views! just beautiful! I would have slept like a log too! Good luck with the taxes. My DH did them for years but for the past two years he has given them to an accountant and that makes it so much nicer as it relieves a lot of his stress and time.

Rae I am so impressed by the weight loss. Glad that all the dogs are doing well and so is the cat. Glad your daughter has her car. Awesome that your DH is getting his chair.

Amanda how fun to have a mini me. My DH has a mini me and it cracks me up!

Have a great day all.

Morning ladies... It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas??? OMG the snow is falling and huge big flakes :mmph: Last year at this time we were cutting the grass!! Hopefully it warms up soon and this mess all melts away again! My poor Camilla Bush is trying desperately to bloom, now it will be really confused LOL. DH took his truck to work this morning before all this snow started to fall and he doesn't have snow tires on it, so I might be picking him up from work this afternoon. Ugh!! The thought of maneuvering up our hills around here is not sitting well with me. But this afternoon is a long way away so I won't worry about it until then. (I know I am a worry wart!!) We are supposed to go to a celebration of life tomorrow for an old high school friend who passed the other day, so I sure hope the weather improves for that also!

Chris - You had a great day yesterday!! Poor Ray though, so funny that she freaked out a little chihuahua in a pink sweater LOL I can just see you giving your dog a bath and all the water everywhere :becky: I am in the middle of reading all about this Keto diet and I am excited to start it, but need to get the groceries that I need first and plan out the meals, I will be having to make two separate meals all the time though, because I know my DH will never give up his carbs LOL. Oh well good thing I am retired and have the time to do it. Hoping that it works for me as well as it is for Rae!

Nancy - Great day for you yesterday also! What fun it would have been to see all those new players! Thanks for the compliment on my hike page, I am working on another today, I took lots of pics! It was such a gorgeous day for the hike too. Looking forward to hopefully another good day on this Wednesday, not sure where it will be yet though. Sure hope that the snow is all gone again too!!

Rae - I am envious of the time you get to spend with your DD, I talk to my DD almost everyday, but it is not the same as being together in person! LOL Oh well I will take what I can get! So impressed by your continued weight loss! I see a whole new wardrobe in your future!! That sauce sounds so yummy!! I love mushrooms and would love that sauce I know! My goodness your hubs sounds like mine, he lives in his lazyboy swivel rocker and has lots of great sleeps in it!! Nice that your DH is getting one made just for him! Glad that your DD has her own vehicle now! I am sure that things will work out for the best for her!

Ok I best get going and get some breakfast and DD will be calling soon also. Have a great day everyone!

Good morning, ladies. Had a relaxing couple of hours with hubs, then he went to work, and Jen and I chatted for a bit. I've had my algae green drink and am drinking my BP coffee now. This is my perfect way to get nutrients in the morning. I really don't like to eat in the morning much. I'm down 14 lbs now so have averaged just over a lb a day. This wkend I can put away my biggest clothes. Luckily I still have tons of clothes that will fit a bit big but will still be wearable for another month or two (maybe). I know the weight loss will slow down soon and then I will stabilize for a bit. I am sleeping better too which is awesome. I still wake up a few times but am going right back to sleep and not having to turn the TV on to pass the time. I'm so happy for that. Today I will be going out to look for SF flavored cod liver oil to take once a day instead of taking pills. I think it is cheaper and it's easier for me to remember to take that than pills which I am very forgetful with. Thank god they make favored ones now :)

Did anyone watch blacklist redemption last night? i liked it and am happy for this spin-off show.

Chris - the girls are going to love your craft class.

Nancy - sounds like you all had a fabulous time!

Trudy - any questions about keto don't hesitate to FB message me. Its fairly easy but you do need to understand the importance of water, electrolytes and daily macros). But the easiest part (at least for me) is the loss of hunger cravings and I have to remind myself that its time for lunch or dinner, I dont' feel hungry. I am getting the hang of portion size too. I am eating 1/2 of what I used to and don't feel hungry to have more. If you try it I sure hope you have the same results I am. My hair is not falling out now, no GERD for the last week and more energy.

Ok, ladies, I better get some work done. BTW, Jen may be getting a call for a second interview for a job today so please think positive thoughts. Have a great day, everyone.

I just have to vent this and then I will move forward. Car sales people make me not want to buy a car.
