Is it February or May? Not really sure with this weather. Yesterday was absolutely phenomenal and it looks like today might be even warmer.
When I left my friend's house around noon it was 64*. The kids and I took the dogs to the dog park in the afternoon and it was almost 70*. Today we are supposed to break 70*. I love it and worry about it at the same time. How many more record-breaking temps and trends can the Earth take?
I had a really busy day yesterday. I worked out the supply list with my friend and got the go-ahead to place the order. I think that the girls will like the project. I know that I am excited, even if I am a bit nervous. It has been a long time since I have done any teaching at all.
When I got back home, I knew that I had to take the dogs to the park. Cait and I had discussed a hike, but I know that the Princess J had a *lot* of energy to burn. Scott got home first and when I asked what he thought, he said he was hoping that I would suggest that. Cait came home a little later and was 100% for it. Poor Ray, she does not do well at the park. She barked and even snapped at a dog that came up to close to her. I took her to the Small Dog side so she could watch the dogs play through the fence, but then freaked out when a chihuahua (in a teeny tiny pink sweater no less ) came up to her. Scott brought her back home after that. She does great on hikes so we will take her on them, but dog park will just be for Jaida.
It was her first time there since before her surgery and her knees looked good! Her fur- not so much. She was a muddy, filthy mess. I popped her (OK-- *dragged her*) into the tub when we got home and she was fine until I screwed up the spray. I thought that the spray was set to handheld but it was at the overhead and handheld and she did not like that- jumped out of the tub, dripping soapy and muddy water everywhere.
Then I cooked a yummy dinner and now I have Scott as a broccoli rabe convert.
Today I *must* work on CT stuff.
Hope that everyone gets to enjoy their day too!
