Happy Friday, O-Fam!
I had to reread what I posted yesterday morning to see what I did all day. heh! The trip to the hospital was fine, all of the snow and ice was melting away. It took me a while scrape up enough of it to get to and from the house to the driveway without wiping out.

Dinner was yummy and part of it was very entertaining. I Googled to see if the rats could eat asparagus. Since it is a safe food for them, I saved all of the trimmed ends. Caitlyn and I brought up three 1" ends- carefully selected to be the same size- and gave one to each. They grabbed it and ran to a separate area of the cage. They started to nibble on it but then seemed to lose interest. Except for Titania. She was really enjoying hers. Olivia must have thought that Tat's tasted better because she stole hers right out of her hands. Then Delia took Olivia's. Tat had another piece in the house but Liv went into the house, grabbed it and threw it out of the window! Then she popcorned (when rats jump in little but energetic hops, it is called popcorning, because they look like kernels popping) her way out of the house and started nibbling it. Delia popcorned her way over to Liv and on and on it went.

Cait and I were hysterical, they looked so ridiculous! And the girls loved the asparagus after all of that. When Cait gave them another piece after dinner, they ate it up much more seriously LOL

Today I am going to do a quick steam cleaning of the Living Room, it should only take me an hour or so. Then I have nothing else happening so I might try to work on some of the March challenges up ahead.

have a fab day everyone!

Kay- good job sleeping so late! I would have been exhausted after a late night like that but it must have been a blast being with DD#3, family (this is the one that is getting ready to move?) and her friends. Were you successful in catching up on what you needed to do yesterday? Hoping that snow doesn't start until you and your friends are back home after your lunch today.

Trudy- whoa, lady! I read like three sentences of your post and pooped out! You did more yesterday than I did in the last three weeks! Sorry that your Gary had a crazy day at work.
Congrats to your DS getting a house - it sounds lovely esp with the forest and yard! Woot! Thanks for the date on the movie release!
Enjoy the quiet time at the pool today.

Rae- :hurt: No way could I give up coffee... But if you can and you figure out what foods are causing issues, that would be great. Are you friends with Meg Bateman on FB? She was Our Misadventures when she was designing. She has a lot of AI issues and has a lot of food allergies. She might be a great resource for you.
The Witch Elm-- never heard of it, is it a new book?
I am reading a Lord John Grey novel now. It's nice to "see" some old book friends again :)

Jean- the sun was nice here yesterday too. Scott went for another hike after his classes again. He *loves* being at school in the mountains. Cait and I think he is off his rocker for hiking in snow, but it makes him happy. I wish you felt good enough to go see your DH at the H&S.
The baby steps in getting better are so frustrating.

Karen- Awww Joey must have had a great time out on the walk! What kind of experimenting are you doing? Would love to see!

Stacey- she is such a pretty girl!!! Give her some belly rubs for me!!! I love the pic of her running in the snow- and she has a great smile!!!

xoxoxo to all of you!

Quick in and out this AM... The sun is shining and have blue skies. Alas... it won't last all day. The storm front slowed down but will be here by mid-to-late afternoon and even more snow than 1st forecast. Looks like we can get our lunch done before it hits. So, can only spend a few minutes here this morning.

Chris, DD#3 is not the one moving... it is my granddaughter and her family. They have moved in with DD#1 [her mom] so they can get their house staged and ready to sell. Should have it done by the end of this weekend.

Saw the MiniO's in the shop... so many wonderful ones. Guess I will be busy with them for the next couple of days.

Will do personals later. Have to get dressed and out the door. CYL

Morning ladies... Ugh they just announced a snowfall warning for us today :mmph: Sure hope that it is rain and not more :smow: If it does amount to anything i will have to go pick DH up from work, his truck will never make it up our hill with no winter tires on it. Hitting the pool this morning at some point this morning. Yesterday I tried to finish my page that I started, but I just was not happy with it. I will try again today. Then I decided to update my fun little photos in the main bathroom. A few years ago I did little scrap pictures of the grands in the bathtub. One of Sadie, one of Isaac and one of Mason. However now I have one more grandson, Hunter. So I changed the one of just Mason and found a cute photo of Mason and Hunter in the tub together and now we have everyone. It was fun and did not take too much time or brain power LOL. Oh and I also hung a painting I did of a Jelly fish in there too. I might re-do it though as I am not really happy with the background colour of it and think it should perhaps be a lighter shade of blue. I will post a pic later. Right now Heather is calling to Facetime with me. TTYL!!

Good morning ladies. More snow overnight and more coming today. Taz will be happy. I hope to get out at lunch time to take Taz to get his nails clipped and get some groceries. Should be a reasonable day for work which will be nice b/c next wk looks like it is going to be very busy with my clients having full workloads every day. So, I will enjoy the slightly slower pace today.

I have taken time to scrapbook this week and it has really helped my blah feeling. It really is true, scrapping is so therapeutic. I've started working more again with clustering and am loving it. I needed a change, needed to do something to get my mojo back. I used to cluster on my pages a lot more before and got away from it when I started working more with brushes and textures. It makes me happy so am going back to that style more now. I love that there are so many options for scrapping. So, I will work on a few pages today and over the wkend.

Chris - that is so funny about the asparagus. You need to do a page and journal all that. I'll have to tell Bailey that story. She loves rats too and that is really going to interest her. I always show her your pages of the rats.

Trudy - great idea about the bathroom pics. Lately I have been thinking about getting some of my prints enlarged and framed to hang on the walls. I have a few in the foyer and LR but's about it. I bought frames a long time ago (not even sure where I put them) to put b/w nature photos on an overhead shelf in the kitchen and never did it. I'm thinking now that I will.

Kay and everyone else....have a great day. I'm grabbing another coffee (haven't given it up yet lol) and getting to work.

DH did his bird survey this morning and while not much excitement, many Cardinals singing plus male Red-winged Blackbirds were perched many places also singing and both m&f chasing one another to establish territory. So, spring is really creeping along. Also yesterday saw a neighbor's winter aconite blooming. And that was because I DID go to the sing-along. I felt fine, sat with a friend, and sang along. They did songs I hadn't heard them play before and there were 14 playing, maybe a new high for an outing. I still feel OK but not as perky as yesterday. Maybe sunshine again would help?

Stacey, what a nice looking dog. Hope it is the one.

Chris, another super story from the rats! You tell them so well. Please say there are photos to aid in scrapping it. As to Scott hiking in the snow, lots of people actually like being out in it. Obviously not us though.

Kay, wishing you good luck with the timing of the weather! Stay safe.

Trudy, same to you on staying safe. Darn that man and the tires. Love imagining the bath photos of the grands, sounds so cute. And I'm really intrigued about the jellyfish.

Oh, Rae how nice that you're enjoying a change in your scrapping! Hope you do find those frames and put up more of your photos.

My day started at 5:30am. Joey decided he needed to go out. Ian has to carry hom downstairs as his hip joint is bad and doesn’t work properly. I had to race down ahead and get my parka and shoes on so that I could take him out to do his thing. It was snowing badly at that time and very cold. Of course he had to walk the entire block not just pee and come back in. Then Ian had to haul him back upstairs so that we could fall back to bed for awhile. Got up at 8:00 to repeat the process but I just stayed up, made coffee and read.
We have about 2 cm of wet snow. I have shovelled the block clear once and will do it again should it continue. We have a lot of elderly dog walkers here and I would hate to see them fall. Ian is out clearing the neighbor’s drive at the moment . It will likely turn to rain but that just makes the sidewalks more slippery.
I worked on filter use yesterday and took notes as to what I did. Hopefully I will be able to repeat the methodology. Lol

Had a great time at lunch... 18 of us there! I ended up driving my van with 4 ladies and myself. Ended up bringing more than half of the food home so have plenty for a couple of meals. Have shredded beef, pulled pork and sliced brisket - all with barbecue sauce... plus potato salad and fried okra! Yummy!!!

The sun was out but the wind had started up a bit by the time we got there. Temps have dropped almost 15 degrees from this morning and the clouds are rushing in along with lots of wind! Glad to be back home before the rain/snow starts. Decided to not go out for the game night tonight... don't want to take any chances of falling with the storm here by then.

Hey, Karen... glad you are trying out the filters. So much fun. I had to go back and re-do the steps so I remember how I achieved the effect I wanted. It doesn't always work on every photo... so it is a learning curve. Have a couple of other methods to find which one I like the best.

Uh, ho... lights flickering so better get off the computer.
