Nope, not TGIF. Not yet at least. First I am going to say that I LOVE COFFEE!!!!!!!

Now, I can say TGIF!




What a long, long week! I wish I didn't have to work today, I think a nap would be much more enjoyable. :sleep:
But naps don't pay the bills..... I wish Dust Bunnies and cobwebs could pays bills, I would be a millionaire with that..... Of course,t hen I would be out of cleaning jobs,b/c then my clients would clean their own houses..... what else might work as currency that I have a lot of? Cat poop!!!!!! That's IT!!!!!!!! ound:

What's going on with everyone this Friday?
Aside from babysitting and cleaning, I have to find a way to tell my mom about Scott and the trial. I haven't wanted to say anything yet until we had more info b/c I know she is going to worry lots and lots. She makes my neuroses look like a cake walk. I learned from the best but she has years of experience over me.
I can't let this go on too long or it becomes a "Why haven't you told me this before" issue and with the party this weekend, I don't want it overheard b/c then it is a "Why are you keeping this from me."

The mtg yesterday went well, Gary and I were only involved in part of it-- just to learn about the basics of the trial procedure and what is expected of Scott. Then the prosecutor met with Scott to get comfortable with each other. They will meet next week at the courthouse for some more prep stuff and then the trial is expected to start the end of March.
I am feeling more comfortable about this the more I know too. And yes, I am so proud of Scott for helping this girl.

Still working on my desk and filing and all that stuff. Guess I need to think about filing taxes too. blergh!!!!!

laurie- hope the weather doesn't get any worse for you, be safe driving out there!

Linda S- I think you need a vacation from your vacation-trip-home. For sure!!! Be safe out there and I hope the snow doesn't get too bad!

Phyllis- I can't sing the praises enough for insulin pumps, especially with Gary's nausea/vomiting, it makes his eating schedule very complicated. With the pump- if he can't eat, he just doesn't bolus (give a dose of insulin). And if his sugar goes low and he can't eat, he can turn the pump off so he doesn't get that steady slow amount of insulin.
We went to Disney in 1994, just the 2 of us and he was on regular doses of injections. What a pain trying to lug his kit around, time meals, and all that. Then we went in 1997 when Scott was 15 months old,and he was on the pump at that time, what a difference- nothing to carry but his test kit, no worries about when we had to eat. Totally different experience.
Its not in mainstream thinking, but the Lyme Disease is much more debilitating and schedule wrecking and health compromising that his Diabetes. I thought when we first met that the diabetes was going to be hard to deal with. Piece of cake compared to Lyme. SMH!

Nancy- that is great that you make a day to meet with your friends. I think as the kids get older its so easy to lose touch with other women,
esp since kids are usually the catalyst to meeting them to begin with.

Trudy- she is precious!!!! LOVE the hair!!!!!

Nana-- oh how exiting for the kids to go on a vacation!!!!! Whenever you doubt that you are doing right by them, just think of these moments that they would not have had if not for you. You are a rock star!!!!!

Good morning ladies. The Storm Q that was supposed to dump all of that snow on us...well, it didn't. But it is wreaking havoc in my house. Kids were supposed to be out of school for conferences yesterday and today. Well, I got a text at 1:00 that the daycare that Shaun is in was closing by 3. There wasn't even any snow yet! So I left work to pick up Shaun. Then at 4:30, Sydney's daycare decided to make a call on today's care...and closed for today. But the snow didn't materialize! So I have no care for Sydney. I'm just going to work from home and that is how that story ends. Grrrr...

sitting here waiting for the ICE to arrive. i sent my husband to work with my car because it's better in bad weather than a small truck. so, if the weather decides to improve, i'm stuck at home. i could use his truck, but i hate driving a stick shift, expecially if the roads are slick. sigh...me and the cat all day long. again.

Chris, i think we should start a new monetary system based on cat poop.:rofl: couldn't be any worse than the current economy. and we'd be part of the Evil 1%. what fun! :becky:

Nancy, always great to go out with the girls. i have a few friends who i met when my son (now in his 30s) was playing kinder soccer. it always blows my mind that i've known these women for 25 years!

Trudy, how'd the pedicure turn out? i only had ONE in my life.:Cry:

Laurie the ice hasn't arrived here yet. i keep wondering what the schools are going to do. if they don't delay, the kids and buses might be out there right for the arrival of the ice. i'd hate to be in charge of deciding school delays.

Nana, you are NOT lucking out with school delays and cancellations this year!! :help: :rant: good luck.

LindaS, what a mess. can i just say again that i am SOOOOO glad i don't have to deal with schools anymore?? i can't beieve you guys didn't even get the snow! i'm wondering about this ice event we're supposed to be getting today. weathermen. fire the lot.

good morning to all!

Took my mom in for her CT and MRI yesterday. Her mobility is going downhill pretty fast. Preliminary results show a suspicion of cancer. Still need further testing to confirm. Taking her to the doctor today at 12 to get the "official" word and to discuss the next steps in testing. It is not looking too good.

Did go to another highschool basketball play off game last night. The winning team blew out their opponent. Really a one sided game. I think they won by 40 some points.

Don't really have anything planned today besides work and taking my mom to the doctor. So looking forward to a little sleep tonight!

Customer Service??? What's that??? LOL

Morning ladies its :rain: here today and windy!! Short day of work and then I will wonder if I will have any work at all soon!! Got the news yesterday that the Store has been SOLD!! Everyone is in a panic!! Not sure who will be on the chopping block?? Apparently the new owners have a list of names that they want to keep on and the rest are out!! No one saw this coming!! The new guy and his son are from Montreal and very French, they don't speak English very well and believe me out here on the West Coast we do not speak ANY French!! We are not really great fans of the French Canadians!! Should be interesting to say the least!! Oh well not much I can do about it, except perhaps start looking around for a new job, or not ! Time will tell.

Chris - Hope your Mom doesn't freak out when she hears about Scott!! You hate to make her worry, but she really does need to hear it from you and not someone else!! Hope you get the clutter from your desk today, and the filing taxes thing?? Ugghhhh!! leave it for another day! :becky:

Phlyis - Just you and the Cat today again LOL, well at least you have some company!! My pedi was wonderful, MG went all out and got me the spa pedi, where you soak your feet in hot parafin wax.... ohhhhh so nice!! Then a long foot massage and massage on your legs too. Pretty new color for the spring on my toes of a light violet with a bit of a shimmer and my feet are all pretty again. Too bad I have no where to go to show them off!

LindaS - Make me a cuppa Kona too please!! I love Kona Coffee! It sure would beat the stuff I'm drinking this morning! For some reason its really bitter tasting today, maybe its just my mood and not the coffee?? Have a great day at home/work today hope you get lots accomplished! Wish I could always work from home!! Not really, I would miss all the girls at work!!

Laurie - Work out done, good for you!! Hope your day is grand and that the roads are not slippery for you!

Good morning well almost lunch time - spent the morning having my hair cut and colored. Now I feel presentable again. Was awaken this morning at 4:40 by my son and husband talking in the hallway about my son's date. My hubby was up going to the Y and son just getting in but really did not need them waking me up! Never did really go back to sleep - I will nap this afternoon. Another cold grey day - Just waiting for the weather you are getting Phylis to come to the east. Just a good day to scrap!

Chris you should be so proud of your son for coming forward. Yes your mom must hear it from you.

Phylis enjoy the day with you kitty. loved your space outfitted grandmen!
