TGIF!!! It is Friday and yes, Virginia it feels like a Friday.

Yesterday was a success!! A very expensive success but I will take it. Everyone in the office was happy that I was feeling so good. LLMD said that she didn't think she had ever heard me say that before. I still have some residual issues and weakness/inflammation, but overall- I am in remission and don't have to see her for 12 months! :whoo: There is always the caveat that if symptoms come back that I will need to be seen ASAP but for now, I am happy where I am at. Gary is still taking things day by day. He asked about a new medication that is being used off-label to treat Lyme. I can't remember the name but is one that is used to treat alcoholism. She said that he would be considered as a candidate since he has tried literally every option- herbals to IV- with no success. However, there is very limited research and info. She has used this on 2 patients and neither had any long-term improvement and both had bad side effects. He said at this point, not worth it. ITA.

I also finally ordered my new glasses. I figured as long as I killed the credit card at the LLMD- what was another $100.
Caitlyn helped me pick them out and they look like they might be kind of cute.
I am cleaning this morning and then if I am up to being on my feet a bit more, I need to make more dog treats.

Rae- we are having the same weather here, very cold (16*F cold!) but at least the sun is out. And then we are going to be in the 50's again on Sunday. SMH! Not at the 50s but the bouncing around. We watched the finales of Criminal Minds last night. It was sad to see it end, it was such a good show. I will have to look for The Friend at my library- thanks for the rec. Hope you and B had a nice time together-- did you ever come up with a plan for her to do some chores?

Trudy- That little guy of yours -- what a cutie! Is the strike over yet?
I am not excited about the trip too much yet and Gary has been saying that he hopes that the cruises will still be running with the coronavirus spreading. I am not worried about that- I am still focused on squeezing myself into bathing suits :fear: LOL

Nancy- how did you get upgraded seats? Very cool! Was the game decent with all of the teams' chaos? I guess that is good news about cataracts. Not good that you have them but good that you don't have to worry about them yet.

Felis- That is wonderful to hear that you had such a nice time with your babies. Snuggling with them is a great feeling. I love picking up the rats or lying on top of the dogs That stinks about the bathing suit not fitting when it is wet. Yikes!

Morning, gals. Back to waking up at 4:30 AM! I even read until midnight last night so that didn't help let me sleep later. We had a front come in during the night so the foot is hurting. Think that is what caused me to wake up so early. I am more than ready for spring to get here. I miss sitting out on the back patio. Did I mention that I bought 9 Day Lilies bulbs last week? I need to get some new potting soil to put in the pots. They are in 3 different colors so should be a colorful addition to the front and back yard. Don't want to plant them until mid-March. Which reminds me, I need to reset the sprinkler system to twice a week.

I talked to my cousin yesterday. She may decide to move out here. It would so nice to have her around. She has to sell her place before she can move. We are of an age and get along well.

Chris... good news from the LLMD for you. Wish that Gary had got better news from her. Had to LOL over looking for swimsuits - I am the same. Don't like having to try them on and decide which style/size/etc is best. Glad I have a couple of suits that are still in very good shape. Wow... had not thought about whether the cruise will be a go due to the Corona Virus. Sure hope it works out as it would be a great way to relax with the family.

I need to work on cleaning up the office. I want to look at the laptop and decide if it will work to use for my book inventory. I need to come up with software/database for it. CYL

good morning - well I went to pick up son and DIL to go to the game and my son came out and said he was sick. Poor boy. I just wish he knew he was sick earlier so I could have had more time to find some one else to come. But I did call my DH and he came to the game. Well I got upgraded because I am a season ticket holder and renewed for next year. The games are not sell outs LOL. Anyway it was 8 rows from the ice right behind the Devils bench. Right on center ice. So you could see the players but when they stood up they did not block you. So the seats come with food. They had Indian dishes that were just so yummy. Felt bad my son missed out. Great desserts too! Sat next to a man and his son who were at their first Devils game so I talked to them until my DH showed up in the 2nd period. The Devils won 2-1. It was great! So fun! But boy was it cold on the walk too and from the Rock. And it was a cold morning but Luther is at doggie day care so I don't have to be out but the sky is such a pretty blue. My back is finally good and my allergies or cold seems gone so I am think of swimming for sure.

Chris congrats on the results from the Lyme doctor. So happy you have worked so hard! I am sorry there still seems nothing new for Gary to try! But maybe because of his other health issues it is harder to get Lyme into remission. Glad he is still trying and keeping up with new protocols. Have fun and hope ankle is ok with cleaning.

Rae hope time with B went well. As Chris said we are really cold today but should warm up over the weekend. Hope you get some warmer temps too! Was the finale was as good as you wanted. Sometimes I find they leave a lot to be desired.

Trudy I am like Chris is that school strike over yet. Those poor kids and parents too if they are working. Glad the painting dried correctly.

Felis it is not that I no longer like the former Devils' players in fact I still do but you cant cheer for the team they now are playing for if that team is trying to defeat yours. Yes you can cheer for them if they are playing against other teams but the problem is they are in my division so if they win that means they are ahead of my team. Congrats on having 3 days to play with your pets. That must be so much fun! Hope you are continuing to have fun!

Good morning, ladies. The bear was banging around the garbage cans last night but luckily couldn't get the lid bent (locks on them) as he sometimes is able, so no mess to clean up...whew. The fellow across the street puts his cans out the night before pickup and my neighbor next to him (my doggie dad friend) came home from work at midnight and saw the guy's locks on the ground next to the cans so he locked them up again. Its a big fine if you get caught without locks on, plus it encourages the bears to come around and then when they come around too much they end up getting euthanized. Stupid neighbor. I don't know why he can't just come out in the morning and put the garbage out like we all have to. I think my doggie dad friend is going to report him next wk, he's really pissed about it. So, that's my rant for the day. Stupid neighbor.

Today should be a good day, not too heavy a workload, not too many errands to run. D is going out for poker night with his buddies. So it'll be a nice quiet night for me, trying to figure out what I want for dinner. I might pop over to the gluten free store and see if they have any perogies. That would be a nice treat, perogies, bacon and sour cream...yum. Fingers crossed. They sell out fast so will call them in a bit and see if they can keep some for me to pick up later.

Chris - it was sad to see CM end, I feel like I've been watching forever. Glad you were able to order your glasses.

Kay - sorry to hear your foot hurts and you didn't get much sleep. I'm ready for spring too.

Nancy - sounds like an awesome time at the game last night. Too bad your son had to miss it. CM finale was good in the sense that it completed the storylines, I expected it to be a big more action packed, but thats ok, I still enjoyed it.

Morning ladies... it is very chilly here again this morning, but it is so nice to wake up to a blue sky! It is also great that it is not dark out at 7am anymore! Hooray the days are getting longer, so spring must be just around the corner! (fingers crossed!) I had a really nice swim yesterday and the pool was pretty quiet. Seems that a lot of the lap swimmers are either down south for the winter or have decided to to not come anymore. I am still looking for someone who would be able to cut some rounds for me, however last night DH noticed that our local hardware store were selling 12inch laminated pine rounds, so I will go and check those out today! I bet that they don't have any in stock and will have to order them in :mmph: I had a good afternoon of putting another coat of primer on my large canvas, I started to paint and did not like the way the paint was going on. It seems to be better now with a third coat of gesso. So I will begin the sky today. Oh and here is a look at my Dutch Pour, it needs a couple of coats of varnish on it and then it will go up for sale.

Chris - I am Happy to hear that you are still in remission and are doing so well! Sad though that your Gary did not get that good news though! Glad that you were able to get your new glasses!! As for you question about the Teacher's Strike, no it is not over yet and it looks like it will drag on for quite some time! Mason is home today again and they are not sure how many days he will be home next week. They have to give the parents 5 days notice so hopefully next week he will have a full week of school! Today was a province wide thing so there were over 2 million kids out of school. :mmph:

Felis - That is great that you got your days off that you wanted! Yikes about the swimsuit not fitting when wet!! I would be angry too especially if it was an expensive purchase! Hope you continue to enjoy lots of snuggles with your cats!! As I told Chris, the teachers strike continues and probably will last a lot longer!

Kay - sorry you are back to waking up so early again. Not sure why, but I go through the same thing, some nights I will sleep so well and then others I wake up multiple times and can't go back to sleep to save my soul! That would be lovely to have your cousin move closer to you, it would be nice for you to have her near you! Good luck with cleaning up your office today!

Nancy - Wow your upgrade sounds like it was awesome! How fun to have your Devils win for you too! Bruins are coming to Vancouver to play and I sure wish we could go to the game, sadly we don't have the $1000.00 that it would end up costing us and even then we would not have very good seats :mmph: It is stupid expensive and we would also have to take the ferry and find a hotel to stay at overnight and eat at a restaurant. Just not worth it !

Rae - Yikes on the bear being back at your place!! Did you teach him how to use the latch so he doesn't destroy your gate again?? Yes your neighbour should be reported for putting his cans out the night before garbage day!! Some people just think that they are above the laws!! Like my stupid neighbour who thinks that we all love to listen to his two dogs barking for hours on end!!! How nice to have a quiet evening to yourself! Hope you are able to get your perogies, gosh I haven't had perogies in ages they were the kids favourite things when they were younger. Enjoy your night!!

Ok my face time call with the Heather and the boys was nice, but the boys were not into talking with me too much, they were having fun playing together so that is good. I will get busy with my painting today and perhaps work on a page that I started the other day. I hope you all have a wonderful friday!

Hey girls!
I'm so darn tired! I can napping, napping and napping and to wake up tired again. Something is wrong with me and I'm wondering is it because of my inconsistent schedule of sleep/awake, or it's a health issue, I have no idea?!
Before few days I watched commercial about these Weighted blankets with multi glass beads, so I'm wondering if any of you is try them and can share opinion, please!? My mom think this is just a marketing trick and the old fashioned wool blankets are heavy enough to have the same result. So I'm curious?


Chris, oh, my, so bad there isn't new options for Gary's Lyme, hope this to change soon! Congrats for the new glasses! Want to see you wearing them, I too think it will be cute! LOL till the time for cruise coronavirus will be just a distant memory. You are always worry, my dear :roll: :hug: , calm down! My sister told me that even now neither France or German tourists looks worried, nope, she was even surprised from so many crowd at that bad weather and changed planes because of the storms.

Rae, oh did bears get scared from the lights, as we have one of these move detection sensor lamps? Good that she (she/he, on my language words have gender and bear is she) is not make damages at your property. Ugh, this man is not just stupid but also cruel to put it on danger of euthanization at this way :yell: !!! Are you tried to take some pics of her with lens for distant shots as for the birds?

Trudy, the painting is wonderful, so vibrant! Haha, yes, you was mentioned that NY resolutions don't last long, and soon the pool will get back to normal, it's looks like as this moment is came. Good luck in your search for pine rounds!
