:bliss: Friday! And February! We made it through one of the longest months of the year (IMHO!). My fingers are crossed that February is an easy one for all of us.
I didn't get much resting done yesterday. I spent most of the day in the kitchen. I made the pups and rats their oatmeal and sweet potato treats. That takes forever it seems but they love them. They know the smell of them and hover in the kitchen the second they come out of the oven. Then I made chocolate chip cookies and oven fried chicken and sauteed broccoli rabe for dinner.
After dinner, the four of us worked on the puzzle and we should be able to finish it up soon.

I *should* have rested since today is going to be a long one. The LLMD takes forever. All I can say is thank goodness that I don't have to go to the kids' LLMD anymore. That was a brutal trip and a long day.

We have to leave here at 9.30 and hopefully, we will be home by mid-afternoon.

Love and hugs to all of you!

Nancy- did you see it will be in the 50's next week? Totally not complaining but such weird weather changes. It is always fun to see a book that you enjoyed turn into a good movie. What, you take hockey too seriously? :pound: Nah-- it is the only way to do it.
I saw the cars on fire on Newark too. I can't imagine coming home and finding that my car was toast. Yikes.

Kay- I have been bad about drinking enough water recently too. Then I am dying of thirst at the end of the day, drink too much water and then have to get up to pee.

Hi Rae!

Trudy- I hope that your DH figured out why he needed to go to the Dr and that it was all routine. Yard work, that sounds wonderful!!! And you know that I mean that sincerely! LOL
Are you all set for his b-day tomorrow? I can't wait until you tell us his big gift- must be super special!

good morning - well yesterday my pt made me so happy. She said I can graduate to a cane. WOW I was shocked. But she said walker if home alone but I can use the cane if the boys are home. That makes me feel like I am really making progress. It won't even be two weeks until next Tuesday. I hope this means when it hits the 50s next week I might be able to get outside with the boys and walk around the block. I see my surgeon on Monday and then the next week is still home pt for 3 days and then I guess it is off to outpatient therapy. My Devils played the Rangers last night at lost 4-3 when the Rangers scored late in the 3rd. It was a back and forth game but Devils played hard but they are missing something or some one Taylor Hall. He has now been out for 39 days and counting. He is doing some skating but not with the team. Oh well maybe I will get a good draft slot. Not much else going on.

Chris I hope the fingers are feeling better and they have finally warmed up. And yes this weather going frigid to warm is strange but I will enjoy the warmth. Good luck at the doctors and hope that you are not going back on abx and that the appt does not last too long! Your dinner sounds yummy and love that you were all together working on your puzzle. Your family time is so cool.

Kay glad you are not getting sick. Having to sleep on my back is the pits as I wake up with dry mouth which probably means I am snoring. My DH used to do all our taxes but he finally gave it when money from my 401K had to be in the tax forms. While having tests and classes the taxes just weighted to heavily on him. I am glad he does not do them anymore as he is not up the changes. My sister's DIL does her taxes for her.
That is really nice of her.

Trudy sorry you missed hike but I bet the hair looks fab for your MG's birthday celebrations. I cant wait hear what you all got for him.

Rae hope you got all you work done!

Have a great day all!

Hello girls,
I feels awful scrolling your posts I was saw Chris to talk about the could, but I wasn't realise how serious it is. They are show at the news how cold is in US and the situation is really bad, (not only for the Chris' standards  ). Poor people and animals frozen to death! Sending prayers for the families of the victims! And I hope your family and friends are on safe!
At the same time here is Spring. My mom was able even to work for a while at the garden, with jacket but still, lovely weather.

Chris, I hope you made the work at your kitchen fun not stressful! The new puzzle looks very interesting an totally in your stile (if you still are on this with many Mickey's) . Hope on a good news from the appt and no back to the meds!

Nancy, hows you doing with Luther and the therapist?! It's lovely how caring your boys are to you! I have to go watch Crazy Rich Asians soon, I'm a big fan of Gemma!

Kay, I hope you had good sleep and feels better! Good luck with the veggie market, hope they have good deals! These documents stuffs are annoying, do you deal with them alone or your daughters helps?!

Rae, I'm happy to hear your husband feels in better health, and hope to can easily solve his problems with the boss! I was left with impression they are friends and most as a partners, always disappointing when they start act haughty. I'm sure you'll be able to finished all your tasks on time, because you are the most organised girl I know!

Trudy, hope you have fun with your husband and garden work! The preparation for the birthday and a special gift sounds lovely! As Chris said hope that the Dr and is all routine.

Morning O-zies!! A busy day for me today as I need to get groceries and get the house cleaned up. I will grocery shop today instead of tomorrow, because everyone is showing up shortly after noon. :washing: and

Ha, Ha, Ha... I love that smiley!! I should add it to our list of smiley's!! I need to get a few things done here too, coupons ready to give out etc. and so there will be no time once again to do anything in the way of scrapping :pout: Oh and I woke up with a lovely sty on my left eye :mmph: it is very sore and so no I need to put a tea bag on it or find some other remedy for that. Oh BTW, my Gary spent most of the rest of the day after his dr. appt. putting in the new garage door opener. He ran to Home Depot and found a new one on sale, hooray for sales!! Got it installed, new keypad entry for the garage and new openers for the car all programmed. He is amazing!! Our new garage door opener is so nice and quiet too!! Also has WiFi so if I forget to close the door when I go out I can do it from my phone. My Son-In-Law said I could play tricks on DH when I am out visiting them in Ontario and open and close the garage door on him LOL. Heather is calling so I will go and come back in a bit.

Good morning, ladies. Yesterday flew by, I was so busy. Today will be very busy too with work and tax stuff. I'll be calculating totals and sorting papers to bring to the acct tomorrow. If I forget anything I can then just fax it over to him during the week but hopefully I will get most of it ready by tomorrow. My new rule moving forward (as its always confusing to me which things D needs as I don't have anything to do with the bonds, rrsp's etc) so any mail that I don't know I have to deal with, is going into a bin in the foyer cabinet. So when I bring the mail in I can immediately place it into the cabinet by the door. Hopefully that will make it easier for next year.

After Taz's vet visit yesterday we went over to the pet store and I got some new food for him to try. I wanted something with more vitamins and nutrients than what in the First Mate food we've been giving him for about a yr. He ate the new stuff last night so maybe this will work out. He's such a picky dog. I gave him a few small pieces out of the bulk bin, of salmon jerky and herring jerky, he took both and threw them to the floor, turning his head away. Then I took a small piece of the lamb lung and he gobbled it up. I guess he knows what he likes LOL.

Chris - I really recommend Lie To Me....I can't put it down, I just have to know how it ends. You're such a good pet mom, making their treats! I hope today you get to relax after your appt.

Nancy - how great to be progressing so well! Fingers crossed you'll be outdoors soon but in the meantime, enjoy your guys taking care of you.

Felis - how lovely to have spring weather where you are. We aren't as cold as many U.S. areas are but next wk is getting colder here and I'm not looking forward to it. Hope it doesn't last long. D's boss came over yesterday and they are fine, they didn't discuss the blowup, just moved past it and are back to normal chatting again. I think he's looking forward to getting back to work on Monday, its been almost a month he was off work.

Trudy - have a wonderful B-day celebration for G tomorrow. Hope the sty feels better soon. Yay for G getting the new garage door opener installed. That is funny about SIL suggesting you play a trick on G with opening and shutting the door LOL. Enjoy your chat with H this morning.

I'm getting another coffee and getting to work now. Have a great day, everyone.

Ok I am back, that was a very nice call as Mason is home and we read a story together and he showed me some of his new treasureX toys that he recently got. Heather was putting Hunter down for his nap, so it was just Mason and I  Now I need to get into the shower and get going with my day!

Chris - I guess a while back when my Gary had his last full physical there was some blood in his urine?? :sorry: TMI?? anyway the dr did not seem to think that it was anything and so he did another exam on him and they scheduled him for another appt. to check on his bladder. So nothing to worry about I am sure. So the yard work never happened because DH spent the rest of the day putting in our new garage door opener. It was kind of chilly anyway so not the best day to be out in the yard. Bet the pets were all happy to have their treats!! You were very busy in the kitchen making all those great tidbits!! Hope you get to rest a bit more today!

Nancy - Sorry your Devils lost last night, but don't feel bad our Bruins did the same and lost on OT :mmph: Wow you are making amazing progress with your recovery! WTG!! You will be out there running around with Luther before you know it!

Felis - Happy to see you here in this forum once again! Also happy that things have been cleared up for you with the other forum! Sorry that things were so misunderstood with all of that! Hope you will enjoy some scrapping soon!

Rae - :hello: hope you are not so busy today!

Ok I really need to leave here and get into the shower and then hopefully grab a coffee and get my shopping list put together. Have an amazing day everyone!

Didn't get a chance to pop in this AM. Dashed in to get the challenge LO into the gallery. Then hopped in the shower. Barely out of the shower when DD#1 called and came over for a quick chat before she had her stress test downtown. I made it over to the base to pick up my med refills... but they goofed up and didn't fill one of them - so had to wait for it to get done. Stopped by the fruit/veggie market (not the one I usually go to - but on that was between the base and the attorney's office0. DD#1 called to say she was done - so had her met me at the attorney's. He gave some info on what to do so we didn't have to re-do a bunch of paperwork. Saved me $$$ on not having to do them. Yeah!! Then DD#1 and I went to lunch at a Mexican restaurant near us that had closed and is now reopened again. We stopped at a fabric store and I found a black cotton knit fabric that would work for a cap for DD#2 and DD#1 found some fleece for a comfort throw. Then ran by the grocery store and picked up some of weekend sale items and made it back home at 5PM.... very long but productive day. Thank heavens we had a beautiful day... got up to the mid-50's with sunshine and no wind!!!

My garage door opener came in yesterday. Son-in-law and grandson will be over at 8AM tomorrow to install it for me - along with DD#1 and DD#3 for a visit. Will be so glad to get it done so I can start parking inside the garage. We have another storm front coming next week so want to have the car protected while it is here.

Forgive me for no personals today... I need to get some dinner and put my feet up. Worn out from the long day.
