Ahhhhhhhh!!! Where is the week?? Why is is going so fast?? help me!!! :faint2:

I was out and about almost all day yesterday. I was able to get 1 gift for Scott, a couple of stocking stuffers, and Arlene is started. I came up with an idea for Christopher too. So the big ones I am stuck on are one niece, one nephew and Gary. I got home and started to paint some mason jars that will be part of the F-W baskets. Then I baked a new cookie-- Peanut Butter Cup Bars. They will go in the freezer today. I hope they taste as good cooked as they did in batter-form.
I am going to be running every day until next Friday. It is that time of year, isn't it?

Today is my hair appt and when I get home, I will be crafting. Mason jar holiday centerpieces and BFF's cowboy boot centerpiece. I want them as completed as possible today since I will be back at the craft store tomorrow if I need anything else. MIL is recovering some old DR chairs as my Christmas present to match the new paint. She did them once before when I painted the DR burgundy and cream. The chairs are OG chairs-- from when Gary and I first got married, but they come apart so they can get a facelift with fabric. I found some fabric and she will take a look and see if it is good for upholstery.

I also am hosting today's 12 Days Challenge-- I hope that you all check it out.

Hugs!

Nancy- it must be a relief to hear that each knee heals differently. Good for you for not using any opioids. I try to be *very* careful after the time I got hooked on Rx that I was taking exactly as prescribed. That was *helllllll.*
You always have so much fun with your friends-- makes me smile to hear that.
How is Luther today? W threw up two days in a row but is fine otherwise. Hope that Luther is all better today. No one has time for an emergency vet visit. I am knocking wood for both of us!

Rae- I hear ya, sister. I feel so busy but nothing is completed. We are planning to get our tree on Sunday and I am still not ready for that either.
How was your visit with B? Taz must be so happy to visit with her too. Give them both hugs from me!
That is neat that your library has a history tab, I wonder if mine has that too. Thanks for giving me that idea to go look for it.

Kay- whoops!! It has been a while since I screwed up the date so fantastically :p You can tell how scattered I am that way.Traffic doesn't scare me- I live in North Jersey hahaha! When I lived at my parents, I worked 2 miles away and it could sometimes take me an hour to get home. I could have walked faster! That is one of the reasons we moved up to the mountains. Even though it would take us the same amount of time to get someone, at least we were *moving.*
We got into he 40's too and it wasn't windy. When I was driving on my mountain roads out of town yesterday, the snow and ice were still coating the trees, bending them across the road. It looked like I was driving through an ice cavern with bits of sunlight poking through. It was another one of those times my eyes could take a picture.

Trudy- I hope that there will be a day where you don't have to get out of bed until noon and you can do it without any (too much) guilt. ;) You are getting so much stuff done!! :whoo: I will keep my fingers crossed for you and your sisters that you can convince your brother to leave the house. PU!
Hope that Heather and the boys are great!

Felis- I found the shirt on Amazon and sent the link to Gary!! It wouldn't be here until after Christmas so I don't know if he will get it or not. He laughed when he saw it, he knows I am a Mama Bear when it come to my kids.
I didn't have a chance to play the Scavenger Hunt game, I will have to try that today. I mistook Marijke for me once too LOL
I started a different book last night, Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead. Not my typical book but seems good.

Good afternoon girls, actually probably good morning for you :) ,
today we celebrate the St. Nicholas Day and tradition is to eat fish for a diner. Personal tradition to my family is to put the Christmas decoration on this day. But my sister is out of the town and no one else want to take a part on that, so I just give up. It is this time of the year when everybody have to be happy and calm, so if someone wants to be like Grinch, welcome be my guest! We'll decorate it later at the next week.
Was hoping to work on page for Chris's challenge, but dad is in home and it's too distracting. I'm decided what to do, just have to find good (and quiet) moment.

I posted last yesterday, so my personals to the others are there. Lovely day to all! :fish2:

Chris, here have few books from this author, but not exactly this. I hope you to like it! I have absolutely the same freaking feeling that time flies too fast, I still have bunch on tasks wen it's got dark outside! Wish you successful and satisfying day, as your tasks list sounds long! Oh this with the shirt is so sweet, but yes it's probably too late for delivery :( .

Morning, gals. Woke up to temp right at freezing but the sun is shining so should get warmer as the day goes on. Had a hard time going to sleep last night as the foot was talking to me. Woke up this AM and it is feeling better. Keep waffling on whether to go to Urgent Care and have it checked out.

I got DH's laptop charged up and it is working fine. Son-in-law will be over tomorrow to pick up my computer so no scrapping this weekend. <<< sigh >>> Hope he is right that it should only take a day to change things over to DH's computer.

Chris... no problem on the mix up on the date for yesterday! I know that it is easy to become confused during this time of year. You have a lot on your plate right now... those mason jars sound so intriguing for the FW baskets.

Felis, the tree will get decorated when you sister gets home. No point in stressing over missing the 'traditional' day since she is gone. Glad to see you posting some LOs in the gallery.

Off to get dressed and see if I can get more of the laundry done. It is sorted - just have to take time to actually put it in to wash/dry. :becky:

good morning - my DH is taking Luther to the vet. I think he has an ear infection besides his cough. Poor boy. I am heading to a hockey game tonight. The Devils play the Chicago Blackhawks. It will be a challenge but the Blackhawks did play last night while my team was off so maybe they will be tired. Then my team is on the road for about 10 days. I did start my Dec project. Thanks for the nice comments. I will continue to work on that but then not much else going on.

Chris wow you are so busy! I love the crafts you are creating they sound so cute! And it was nice yesterday that it was not so cold. Have fun at the hair cut store and then enjoy more crafting!

Kay sorry your foot is talking to you but glad to hear it feels better today. It is always so good to see the sun shining! You will be so happy when you have your computer back. You were the only one to notice the date. It seems so obvious now but I just saw Thursday.

Trudy you are so busy! Staying in bed sounded good for you - maybe you will get a day after the holidays.

Rae it must be so nice to be able to just go see B during your lunch break. Having her close has got to be such a relief. I am sure she loves seeing Taz too! Have fun this weekend decorating!

Felis I am not working my knee to hard LOL. No pain no gain. But believe me I have figured out when too much is too much. Glad you are waiting for your sister to decorate even though that means on a different day. If she is leaving then spending time with her will mean a lot.

Jean that is so interesting that you have been to my birding spots. They are great spots to see birds.

Have a great day all!

Morning gals!! It is another rainy morning, but that's ok I don't have time to be outside anyway LOL. I will try to get this post done before Heather and the boys call this morning, otherwise it will take most of the morning to complete :mmph: No wonder I don't accomplish much in the mornings, I am too busy having fun on face time!! Anyway I got another page completed on the Calendar yesterday and another set of coasters painted. I will be putting resin on them today. I need to finish off the gift boxes for the kids and perhaps get a few Christmas Cards completed today also. Tomorrow will be our usual running around and shopping for groceries, but I hope to have the afternoon to putter around with other things.

Chris - I really want to play your challenge today! The best part is that there is already a photo picked out to use and that is usually half of my battle with scrapping a page LOL! You had a busy day yesterday too! Sounds like you are well on your way to getting everything done! Those cookies sound delicious!! Wonder if there is a sugar free, low carb recipe out there for those LOL. Have fun with your Mason jar project, it sounds very interesting!! I would love to see the finished product!

Felis - So what kind of fish do you usually have for your dinner for this tradition? I am not a huge fish fan, but I do enjoy Halibut! Too bad your sister is not there to help with decorating, but then it will be more fun when she is there with you all to do this tradition right?? Hope you find some time to work on Chris's challenge today!

Kay - Yes you should really go to the doctor about your foot, it has been bothering you for far too long!! Do you think that perhaps it could be gout?? I hope that you will find some relief from the constant pain very soon!! Hope that your SIL will get the computer all fixed up for you! Can you install PSE on the laptop? and do you have all your scrapping supplies on an EHD? That way you can still scrap the weekend away!

Nancy - Ohhh poor Luther!! Glad your DH is taking him to vet for you! Those Black Hawks beat our Bruins last night, so hopefully we wore them out for your Devils and they get a win tonight! Have fun with your December project, such great photos!!

Alright I did it I got this done before Heather and boys called!! She has both boys home again today as today is a ProD day. I think she said she wanted to bake cookies with the boys, so hopefully that is what they are busy doing! Have a wonderful Friday everyone!!

More running around to do today then tomorrow is a genealogical committee meeting followed by our annual pot luck. So, not a lot of time. Afraid I'm going to skip personals again today. :-(

Good morning ladies. This wk flew by. I still haven't gotten any of the tree decorations out yet so have to pull some out today for sure and then get the rest out tomorrow. Then I can get it all organized and have everything ready for B when she gets here after lunch. I want to have everything ready b/c she loses interest quickly and I am hoping she will participate at least for a bit. I have magazines for her to browse thru and we'll put a comedy on to keep her entertained. Looking forward to getting some photos.

Today is lots of work, taking Taz to the vet for his flush and other than that, will be online playing and scrapping later I hope.

Chris - peanut butter cups...yum. I'm with Trudy....we need a low carb GF version for us. Enjoy your hair appt today. I bet the chairs are going to look great with the new fabric.

Felis - Happy St. Nicholas Day. There's still lots of time to get the tree up so hope you get a day when your sister will help soon.

Kay - if the foot isn't improving much, don't wait too long to get it checked. Are you icing and trying to put it up as much as possible? Hope the computer change goes smoothly.

Nancy - poor Luther, hope he's better soon. Enjoy the hockey game tonight.

Trudy - sounds like you are getting everything done, so many projects! I created my Xmas card and sent it out for printing. Should be here by the end of next week. I didn't get many done as I don't mail a ton out like I used to. No one seems to do that anymore but I hand deliver some to family/friends close by when we see them. Did you make cards (or have you not used your scrapping supplies yet)?

Jean - enjoy the pot luck tomorrow.

I'm getting to work now. I've got a full day ahead so hope to get lots of work done this morning so this afternoon is a bit lighter schedule. Have a great day everyone.
