Daily Ooo's: Friday, December 5

Oh my goodness, I am seriously thankful it is Friday!

What a week(s) I had, between running on emotionally empty and now physically empty. Last week, when I squeezed in a client for this Wed, I knew it was going to be tough to do 4 houses in one week, but I had no idea it was going to be coming off a crazy weekend/week. I kept dreaming last night that it was Sat. and that I was done for the week. What a disappointment to have my alarm go off.

And in true Faery-Fashion, I have a packed full day. Babysitting/bus stop run, cleaning for a client, my mom is coming up in the afternoon to go over Xmas stuff, and then dinner and DRINKS!!!! at my friend's. I think I am going to go to my friend's in my pajamas. For real. I don't think she will care at all. And that means it will be easier for me to roll up the street and into my bed hahah!

I also have to finish cleaning my kitchen. Tomorrow I *have* to work on F-W's baskets and my kitchen needs to be as crystal clean as possible. I did all of the major dusting/scrubbing yesterday (before I went to work...) but I still need to clean and mop the floor.

Before I went to work yesterday, I also painted part of Cait's baseboards. She had a horse mat, like you would have in a stall, under Bunny's hutch. When we painted her room lavender over the summer, we couldn't get to that part of the baseboard, so when Gary took the mat out, there was a good 2" of bright pink and purple from when her room was wacky colors.
She is having a tough time with her room feeling empty and said that she wanted a small Christmas tree in that corner. I asked my mom is she had a small one to borrow, but she didn't but she went out to the Christmas Tree Shop and saw a prelit 3 foot one. It's going to be a surprise for Cait but I wanted to have the baseboards done before my mom brings the tree up today.
(do you see where I get it from? My mom is awesome!)

I still have so much to do, but I can't worry about it all. Well, I *can* and I *will* but I shouldn't!!

Oh MY!! I looked at the stuff I wanted to do yesterday and I don't think I got any of it done!
I totally ignored the bill paying (go figure!). I was able to call healthcare.gov and add in a dental plan. Then I called my insurance co to verify the change in my coverage for Jan and to see what was up with the blood work. I spent some time on hold, then it went to a message saying that office hours are M-F, 8.30 am to 5 pm.
Hellllloooooooo!!! It was Thursday at 10 am?? WTH are you??
I hung up, absolutely disgusted by it all.

laurie- you could go to an island next too, that is connected by a sand bar. Sound good to you?

Phyllis- I hope that Jan/Feb go fast too. The one good thing about being laid up for a bit is that I won't have to go out into the cold. I can hibernate under my covers for a while.
OMG- We watched Sleepy Hollow last night and Crane had me cracking up about his comments on the motorcycle!
ITA with the idea that ins co's especially ignore you and hope that you will go away if they set up enough roadblocks for you. Really sorry that you have to deal with SS office.

nancy- I would go with you to AZ!

Trudy- I loved your little shark/swimmer the other day, that was really cute.
Excellent news about the dr visit. And mojo-- yes, I need it too!!
Do you use Shutterfly for your calendars? I have a code for free 8 1/2 by 11. Let me know if you can use it .

Morning O fam 50 minutes till blast off for work. Chris I am cramming it all in after work today, take car to shop for estimate for dent/crash tree repair, bank, groceries at least two stores, then home ( would like to throw a little more in there - like hobby lobby and thrift store) Time will tell. I did get a lot of paper sorting and house work done yesterday. I refuse to put boxes of unsorted papers in my closet when ds comes home next week. So paper sorting is happening!

Chris, that motorcycle comment by Crane is EXACTLY where i laughed out loud. (my husband yelled : "WHAT?" from the other room. try explaining THAT. ok. Ichabod Crane and his fellow Witness stole a motorcycle, the first Crane had ever been on, and at the end of the ride he said, "After this is over, i want one of THOSE!!" yeah. makes perfect sense to someone who doesn't watch. i honestly think Tom Mison has a real comic gift. i often watch the first episode of that show and though it wasn't funny, per se, he was SOOO believable. like when he was in the car playing with the automatic windows. adorable and totally believable. OK. time out for a lecture. you need to SLOW DOWN. i know. easy for me to say. remember to carve out at least 20 minutes a day for some quiet time. alone. and next time, throw Gary a duster and tell him to get busy. every little bit helps!

Hi, Laurie. what sort of thrift store do you have near you? all we have is a Goodwill, which isn't that great. we used to have a Salvation Army store which was awesome. i should take a minute today to pay a visit to Goodwill, just to get out of the house. what's the best thrift store find you ever had?

today, guess what?? i'm actually going to DO some of the house cleaning i keep saying i'm going to do. well, at least the family room. i just LUUUUURVE wood stove season.
what a mess. all the time. every day. :rant:

we're having Trudy Weather here today. fog, rain, and LOTS of it. beats the heck out of snow. Fun Fact: 1" of rain is = to 10 inches of snow. so LET IT RAIN!!!!

good morning - Got in a great walk yesterday. It was so good to be outside. And my Devils won last night against the Maple Leafs 5-3. I am without 7 of my regular players. My team played hard for the whole 60 min. They had not scored 5 goals in a game since the second game of the season. That made me happy. Started printing out my Christmas cards so that made me happy! Today is a calm day. Get in a good walk and then continue printing.

Chris wow you are so busy. How sweet of your mom to buy that tree. Take it easy though. I like the idea of going out to dinner in your pjs. And would love to have you come to AZ with me!

Laurie have fun after work with all your shopping!

Morning my "O" friends! The snow is gone Hooray! Now we will have :rain: for the next week or so, but like Phylis says LET IT RAIN!! Off to swimming today and a call to Heather and Mason. He is getting so big, he is going to be a very tall boy I think, like his Grandpa. All of our grandkids are quite tall, guess it is just the way people are evolving ?

Chris - You have had a jam packed week!! Take a break sometime today ok? Have a couple of drinks at your friends and enjoy yourself, you certainly deserve it!! I forgot to answer your QOTD yesterday. I would love to be teleported back to Cuba, the beaches are fabulous and not overly crowded, the weather is warm but not too humid at least not in January, February. The evenings are nice and cool and the people are just so friendly & well educated. Many of them speak at least 5-6 different languages. I know that people from the U.S. do not go to Cuba, but what a shame it is truly lovely (very poor! but lovely!) BTW your mom is the best Mom ever!!

Laurie - Uggh back to work! Hope your day goes smoothly and that the estimate for the damage on your beautiful new car is not astronomical!!

Phylis - I should let you have a talk with my hubby, he was telling me the other day that he would like to switch over to wood heat some day, perhaps not with this house, but if we downsize he thinks it would be the way to go! I told him... are you NUTS!! You want me to chop wood and haul blocks of wood into the house all winter long?? Ya I don't think so!!! I feel for you Phylis I really do!! Nancy - DH and I watched your Devils win the other night WTG Devils!! It must have made your day! I got in a walk yesterday too, after sitting at the computer for so long trying to get my calendars done, I needed to stretch my legs a bit. It was very misty, but nice and mild and it felt so good!!

Ok off to get some breakfast and another cup of coffee. I am so happy that Tim Hortons coffee is now available in the store for my Tassimo coffee maker!! Yummy!! Enjoy the day my friends!! :wave:
