We made it to Friday!!!!!!Wooo hooooooo!
Of course, this Friday is freaking me out- 2 weeks to go... ack! Gary, Scott and I are hitting the mall today to get some more shopping done. Wish me luck- it just seems to get harder and harder to shop every year. Everyone has anything that they need materialistically. I would love to ask for good health and that disability approval, but they don't fit in a stocking LOL
One thing I need to find is sand. I am going to give each kid $20 and some sand to put away for Cozumel 2010. :)

We are putting up our tree tomorrow or Sunday, I hope that will help us get more into the spirit!

And a Happy Hanukkah to anyone who celebrates that too. I know that begins tonight.

Thank goodness for coffee!Yummy hot coffee! It is soooo cold here- 22* brrrrrr!!!! (For all you ladies who were not around last year, or the year before, or the year before that..... I complain about the cold *every day* -- I hate it!!!. By January, I start thinking that I need to move to FL). By Feb I practically drown in my drool over the commercials for Jamaica......

Sally- wow- that is one heck of a Christmas card list!!!(am I on it?? hope so, even though I am a Grinch and haven't sent cards in the last couple of years :()

I know I have been spotty here-- but did you read the Ooo's when I said that I thought of your at Kathy's mom's funeral service- I cannot wait to hear you sing in person again!!!!

Elisa- oh poor baby kitten!! We had a feral cat that we had rescued, brought in the house- trying to catch him to get him to the vet--- oh my-- insanity!!
Congrats on the shop!!!!! Your designs are just beautiful!!!

Clara- you always amaze me with your good heart. What a fabulous thing to do for that family. You inspire me!

Good morning my friends. It's cold here in Iowa too!

I am so glad that it's Friday. Chris, I haven't even started my Christmas shopping. Seriously...not one gift! Ugh... But we do have a tree! :-)

Lots going on at work...there always is this time of year. And the snowstorm didn't help!

Love the idea of sand and $20 for Cozumel! My kids are constantly talking about snorkeling. We are all going to practice in Grandma's pool this year so that we get better about not drinking the water! LOL

Elisa, congrats on the new shop! Your stuff is wonderful!

Clara, very nice thing that you guys did at small group. And you definitely have courage...I'm not at all surprised that you were the one who went to the door. Speaking of Cozumel...how many days until your cruise?

Linda W...hope you get a little bit of playtime at the O today! It's hard to come by this time of year.

Oh my...I feel like I have been away forever!!! It has just not been a great week for me!!!

Nothing too major...just lots and lots of little stuff going on....I am hoping that I can get a fresh start this coming week!!! YAY!! for new starts!!!:p

Chris...I hope you get some good shopping done today...but I have to say...I LOVE LOVE LOVE the sand and the money for the kids...that sounds like something I would do!!!! It's really cold here too!! Way TOO cold for this time of year...weather is so unpredictable....we had NO Fall here at all..it stayed so hot...and now it's Deep Winter weather as if it were late January!!! YIKES!!!

LindaS....I am HERE!!! YAY!!! I came yesterday and made a few posts...and started a Daily Ooo's post, but didn't get to finish it....and time just went right out the door...and I crashed on the couch last night...I remember going to bed...but don't remember DH coming to bed...I am usually 2 o3 hours after him going to bed!!! I saw Iowa on the news yesterday...Geeez you guys got burried!!!!!!!!!!! I can see why there has been so much shoveling going on at your house!!! Just be really careful with that!! It's very hard on the heart, and people don't even realize until it's too late!!! and I finally did a little online shopping yesterday....I have come to the conclusion it's going to be GC's this year!!! I just don't have the energy to shop!!!

Clara...what a wonderful heartwarming experience, and awesome thing that you and your church group did!!! I am glad you stepped up and offered...you will never ever forget that man's face and humbleness for as long as you live!!! (((HUGS))) LOL..about DH and simple torture!!! You always make me smile!!!!:p

Elisa!!!!!!!!!!! WOOT!!!!!!!!! Yay for the grand opening of your store!!! I went and took a look...You have done a AWESOME job girl!! Now I need to get me something so I can scrap with it!!!! I am really am loving what you have done!!! You should be so proud!!!:p

Ok SERIOUSLY SALLY!!!!! I can not believe that many Christmas Cards....I usually send about 25...and then this year the extra O family ones!!! But I had to chuckle about you having made and gotten photos ready and everything the last couple of years and didn't send them!!! I am so happy you are getting them out this year!! WOOT!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay...I better get off of here now...I have one baby yelling at me to fix his bottle!!!

Morning, girlies!
OHhh I was up too late, and i just can't sleep anymore in the morning after i wake up!! ugh!! so it'll be a nap for me today!!

Tonight we have our second dec band gig!! I'm thrilled...this one is at a 10,000 sq ft house in a neighborhood just behind ours. It's during a candlelight tour of a bunch of houses for whoever wants to come and see! It's a bit pricey ($15 a ticket), but it's for Child Advocates in SugarLand, which is the little area next to us! I'm really thrilled to be doing this. I hope the guys are too!! (I think most of you know my band is 4 guys and me...did i mention how much i love that?????? LOL!!! just sayin'!!)

Tomorrow is our marathon day!! In the morning, Cora and her vocal teacher's students are singing at that same house for the tour. Then we all go over to this country club where her (the vocal teacher) students will put on a show for all of the parents and grandparents and we are eating this very expensive lunch there and I'm playing the cello somehow with that concert...we'll see how that goes!!! LOL!! THEN Quentin has his end of the year party for the football team, but mr gorgeous is up to his eyeballs already, so i'm not really sure if he gets to go to that!! :) and then Mr Gorgeous and I have our annual "this gig pays for christmas" gig!! :) He has played this gig for 13 years...it's for an engineering firm. I've done it the last three or four years with him. Should be the funnest!! (i know ... not a word, but give me a break...6 hours of sleep doesn't work well with me!! LOL!!)

Okay, I guess I need to get up and do fun christmassy stuff and get my house cleaned up! Mr gorgeous's BFF is having a poker party at his house tonight after our gig and all the wives can come over here and play with me!! :)

Chris! I totally read that about the funeral!! Thanks soo much for thinking about me!! and OF COURSE you are on my list!! :) I checked you off!! watch that mailbox!!! :) we also think of you everytime we walk by our tree and see that awesome bear ornament from NJ with scott and cait on there! :) hugs!!! :) love you!!!

Linda, ohhhhh I was kinda hoping you'd have a snow day to just sit in your PJs and play play play on your laptop!! :) you enjoy, babe!!! :)

LINDAW!!! I knew i was typing slow!!! Hugs to you, too, babe!! I'm thinking this is a Target Christmas anyway!! Everyone gets something from Target!! LOL!!! dollar spot would be even better, right?? LOL!!!

and Chris, I forgot to say that i LOVE LOVE LOVE the sand idea, too!! i may just have to do that! I know we'll have enough air miles to go to coz 16 times by next oct!! :)
