Today is the Faery is Running Late Edition. W woke me up at 3.30 and it took me forever to fall back asleep and then I had trouble getting out of bed. I have lots to do today but mostly all stuff around the house. And in the yard, I need to do some garden maintenance. I'd rather do that than the housework. (of course, but you all knew that!)
The kids and I had a nice time yesterday. The Christmas Tree Shop was sadly not super-successful. Cait only got two things and I found a lazy susan for the fridge and two new Halloween dishtowels. They only had one pattern for the paper goods and they were flowery pastel skulls which aren't Cait's style at all. We have time and will keep looking. We ended up meeting up with my brother and Christopher for lunch. That meant it was more chaotic than we expected with just my parents. I know that they love seeing their kids and g-kids together even if it is loud and no one actually gets to speak for more than a second w/o being interrupted.
The three of us had leftovers and Gary found something in the fridge so I didn't have to cook. Cait made a pitcher of Jack O Lantern Punch (OJ, lemonade, rum, and a splash of grenadine) and we spent well over an hour at the table telling stories and being ridiculous. Cait was feeling much better after her meeting with her school supervisor. Now she knows her hours on campus and the student population she is working with- undeclared freshman. 50-60 of them. That would make me say yikes, but she is excited.
I need to write my to-do list before I get started - that should keep me in line so I don't just throw my hands in the air and say that I am ready to go outside.
