Just look at that- I mean, LOOK at it! August 14????? How is this happening? was I not *just* complaining how we were already halfway through July?
Cait is trying to mentally gear up for school in a few weeks, Scott is trying to get used to the idea that he is not. (God, I feel bad for him)

yesterday was such a loooooooooong day. A long day of nothing. I scrapped page and I think that was my only accomplishment. I didn't do yard work. I sure as heck didn't do housework! :pound:
However, I made plans for today. I going to Arlene's and we are going for a SD walk at an arboretum near her house. I am going to run a load of laundry there too. Caitlyn is meeting Leah there this afternoon, they are having a girls craft day and she is going to try some paint pouring. If my laundry isn't done. she can bring it home with her. It is so cloudy right now, I hope it doesn't rain or I will have to cancel.

Gratitudes:
-playing with the rats, always makes me happy. Imogene was chuckling up a storm and licking me. Impressive that one of the babies did that, the little brats!
-that I am getting out of the house today!
-my O-Fam

Trudy- Oh no, sorry to hear that the temps are going to get very hot again especially with no rain to cool things off and water your plants.
Your hike sounds beautiful and refreshing, especially with the swim afterward. I don't know how you have the energy to hike/chat/swim, then come home and still be able to paint and scrap.
Congrats to the Bruins, does this mean that they are going to advance in the playoffs or are they still in the series?
Caitlyn, wants to ask Leah, and one other of the BFFs, Sam, about eventually doing a collab. Sam screenprints and Cait would love to have fabric that Leah "paints" and then Sam screenprrints and then she sews. I love that Cait's friends have supported her so much.

Dalis- it is the little things, even stamps that keep the world spinning 'round :D I bought some the other day and I picked out the spooky Halloween ones again. Halloween deserves to be celebrated year-round. (If you look in my gallery, you will see that we kind of do, since we have a 5' skeleton that sits in different places around the house and joins us on our theme nights haha!)
So far the only brand of GF pasta that I have bought is Barilla. I will keep my eyes open for that one, I love the idea of setting the pot aside to finish cooling since DH s the only one that eats it. The rest of us eat regular pasta so having several pots on the stove at once makes me anxious. Too many pots to watch and boil *winks*

Cheryl- you are so good!!! All of that packing, it has to be chaotic but how happy you will be when you are resettled. I am so happy for you! Your poor puppy. Whenever I took the suitcases out of the attic, mine would go bonkers. What a good mama to take her on two walks in the FL heat.
Stay cool today!

Love and hugs, everyone!

Morning ladies... it is a gorgeous sunny day and it sounds like it should get pretty warm today. I don't have much to do today except my online grocery shopping and probably won't be picking it up until tomorrow. So just some scrapping and a bit more painting to work on and then one day I will try to get back to my own artwork. Perhaps I will run out to the craft store and see what is new in there. I will go for a bit of a walk and get the mail too. Pretty boring day :bored: I did manage to get my page done for the Storybook/fantasy challenge, it turned out ok I guess, it sure took me long enough LOL. Other than that I have no desire to do much of anything today. This weekend will be busy with watering and going to the Wine Festival. That should be fun again and we are finding all these wonderful little treasures in our back yard! Dr. Bonnie Henry is not very happy with the young folk here in B.C. too many big parties and now the virus is on the upswing and they are saying we are starting our second wave and it is going to be hitting us way harder than the first one. Why can't we ever learn!! We are NOT INVINSIBLE!! Things will be on lockdown again if we don't smarten up!! :mmph:

Chris - I am so happy that you are getting out of the house for SD walk with your friend! How nice that Caitlyn is being so crafty and having fun with her friends too! Yes the Bruins are in the playoffs, but not for long if they don't start picking up their game, they lost last night to the Hurricanes 3-2. One of our best players was out with an injury last night too. Oh well it is what it is and is still so strange to see them playing with no fans in the stands! Sure hope you get your laundry done and that Cait has some fun doing some paint pouring! She might get hooked on it though so watch out LOL.

Dalis - How nice to see you here, I will have to check out your gluten free pasta, but if it has sugar in it then its no good for me. Keto gal here!

Cheryl - You have been a busy packer!! The one thing about my DH being with the RCMP we always had people to pack and move us, so I got spoiled with that! I don't know how I will manage if we decide to downsize now and move ourselves, the stuff in my crawl space is mind boggling! Hope that the kitchen pack goes well and you will be so happy when you are all settled into your new surroundings!!

Ok off to the shower and then I need to decide what the heck to have for dinner tonight. Last night was Tacos I had mine with gluten free soft tortillas that I make and DH has his hard and crunchy corn ones. That reminds me I should give that recipe to Chris! Hope you all have a wonderful day today!

Chris, she knows something's going on and that's why she's glued to my side. I keep telling her she's going with us. Poor thing. I feel so sorry for her, but I needed a day to get things done without stepping on her. :( BTW: I logged 2.6 miles on my Apple watch yesterday! Most of it was right here in the house - walking back and forth and up and down the stairs all day. I literally didn't stop! Oh well, good workout, huh???

I'm sorry to hear that the virus is on the upswing there. It definitely is here! Too many tourists coming back - the minute they opened the beaches and bars, here came the swarms of people from all over! Florida is really bad - they post the new cases every day and it's so disheartening.

Good luck with "what's for dinner". Your tacos, last night, sound good and I'm still on my second cup of coffee.

Chris, enjoy your walk! Playing with the rats? LOL They ARE cute little things. Getting out of the house is always a good thing. I stopped my insane packing yesterday and HAD to go for some walks. It just lifts my spirit every time. Go out and look up at the sky! Just look at the beauty up there. Hugs

Good morning lovely ladies. :yo: As I predicted, I had trouble getting up - I'm a little stiff from bending and lifting so much yesterday, but starting to loosen up a bit. As I said in another post - the "gratitude" - I logged 2.6 miles on my Apple watch yesterday!

Have a good day all! Not planning on packing much today - probably a little bit but my dog is glued to my leg again today. I told my husband to let her stay with me and maybe I'd have him keep her downstairs later on for an hour or so. She's literally laying on my feet, under my desk right now. I can't even move my feet. :typing:

good day - I am still loving my hockey days. Yesterday was a lot of morning rain but I got in a good walk before dinner. Now I am watching the Coyotes play the Avalanche. If it were not for the Coyotes goalie the Avalanche would win by a landslide. But the Coyotes are putting up a much better fight in this game. Got in a good morning walk. The tree that looked like it did little damage to the roof apparently did more that I thought as I talked to the across the street and he said a lot of water damage inside. Feel so bad as that was a bad storm. Had a nice talk with my sister yesterday. Her eye that got the new lens is now almost 20/20. She is so happy. It took a while for it become fixed and now it so makes me happy. I will be me scrapping. I started watching this show on Netflix that was in 2011-2015 Heart of Dixie. I am looking at this show much differently than I would have a few years ago. Which I see as a good thing. My son's main girl sent me a post on facebook saying that there might be a shortage of Dr. Pepper. Oh no not sure what I will do! I have a stash now and I will keep picking up cases but I sure hope they figure this out.

Chris sometimes a day of nothing is good as a reset. Have fun walking today with your girlfriend. My DH is still working to figure out school even though they know they can come back. It is still a matter of how to do it so that both the professors and students are safe. I think they have it figure out but still to be seen if in reality it can work. Sure hope Scott can get things going.

Trudy I think that for sure large groups indoors or out and without masks it not good for any place. We all should be thinking of others. I saw the remarks that Bruins goalie said about not the same without fans. I can believe that but I would still think that it should feet more than just an exhibition game. Canes sure are taking it seriously. Have fun at the festival!

Cheryl your poor puppy. These are the times it would be nice if they could understand what we are saying. Good luck with the packing. I love my Apple watch and it telling me how far I have walked and how many steps.

Mostly nice today but got a little warm. Tomorrow morning I've got a Zoom meeting of my genealogy program user group. Not sure I accomplished anything today beyond the basics but we liked the dinner I made.

Chris, I seem to be feeling autumn coming as I've ordered some fall type clothes like I was expecting warm summer days when I ordered shorts in May. I don't feel like I ever totally left March but on some level the real time is getting through. Stephen Colbert is back in NYC in an office in the regular building and the first day there he had a daily desk calendar that still had March 12, the last day they did the Late Show in the theater. When he tore off that day, it was still March 12, and so on through the whole calendar. Thought you could relate!

It's late to get my head around personals, but I do want to say to Trudy that the fantasy LO is very lovely, worth the time it took you.

Hi to all, wishing you a lovely weekend.
