Happy Friday lOves!

This week went really fast. At least I think it did.
I am tired this morning even after 2 mugs of coffee. I did a lot yesterday. I mean, a lot for me. I went to the meditation walk but it was only me and the instructor. But that was fine since we wandered the Gardens a bit and listened to the Self-Guided tour for some extra info. Every time that I go there I see new things.

When I got home, Gary and I took J and W for a walk. I played with the rats for a while an sent Caitlyn pictures and updates. The kids are having a great time too. Then I went out and did some wedding, came in and played a game of Upwords with Gary. It is like Scrabble but you can build news words by stacking letters on top of the tiles.

I never made it into the attic, it was too hot but my plan is to get up there early this morning. The kids will be home sometime this afternoon or evening so I have to make sure I am all caught up on laundry because there will be a ton of that when they unpack.

Rae- just us again! wish I could teleport myself over to you to have some coffee IRL together. The weather everywhere this summer has been brutal. I don't think that my area has had the same level of extreme as the rest of the world. We have been hot and humid but that is normal. We had gotten close to 100* a few times in July but never broke it. I can't imagine taking the dogs out in that heat. I try to go either in the morning or right before dinner time when the trees shade half of the street.

Hope that your next batch of spread is what you are looking for but this one sounds really good too. What did B think?

Good morning, ladies. Yep, looks like just us again today, Chris.

I was able to tweak the chocolate spread a bit, added in a dash of vanilla and a few tbsp of coconut yogurt, making it much creamier, like cake icing. B loved it so much that I gave her the leftover spread to just eat right out of the container LOL. I love it too. Its in my food-paleo pinterest board if you every want to check it out.

I have laundry today too. We'll be heading up to the trailer this afternoon and will come back Sun morning so we can spend the afternoon with B. It's supposed to cool off a bit tomorrow and then a bit of rain on Sunday before the heatwave comes back on Monday.

We watched half of "Rampage" movie with B last night and she is loving it. Lots of action. Jen came over to spend the night, it was too hot in her place. She's still upstairs sleeping, she must be exhausted.

I'm going to enjoy relaxing tomorrow at the trailer and reading my latest book "The Rift Frequency" (part 2 in the trilogy). Not sure if my tablet will work on my trailer laptop so may or may not get some scrapping done tomorrow. It was acting up at the end of last year so I won't be surprised if its not working properly. I won't buy a new tablet for out there b/c my plan is to get the new iPad sometime this year and then next year I can scrap at the trailer on that and won't need a tablet as it comes with a pen.

I'm going to get another coffee and get to work before Jen wakes up and then I know we'll sit and chat for a bit. I have my eye exam at lunch time today and will order glasses so next week I'll start wearing glasses full time. It'll be weird LOL.

Don't know where the time or days are going, but I know the days are getting shorter. No genealogy things today but other days this week and both days of the weekend are things. I thought July and August were my "time off" but not right now. Haven't given scrapping much thought and am way behind on my weeklies, but I'm drooling over some new things in the store that might spur me on.

Chris, hope you are enjoying the brief time with just you, G, and the menagerie. Or did enjoy as it is coming to a dirty laundry ending now. Hope you made it to the attic before the day's heat. Just you and the instructor for the walk sounds nice.

Rae, you plan such good things for B to watch and eat. That spread does sound yummy. Hope the weekend away is pleasant and maybe even the tablet working.
