Happy Friday! :high5:

How about we do some more stretching this morning, my shoulders are tight. Are yours? Deep breath in. raise your arms over your head and slowly stretch to the right side while exhaling. Inhale and come to center. Exhale and stretch to the left. Inhale back to center. Drop you arms and do a few shoulder rolls. Up... back, down and up. Raise arms over your head-- stretch right, center, left center. One more deep breath and then exhale...... ahhh!!

Wow, I really do feel a lot better!

Let's see what did I do yesterday? A little of this, a little of that, a bit of wandering around the house... Does any of this sound familiar to you?
I started to scrap a page and it is missing *something.* I am not sure what, so I am going to try again today and see if I can fix it.
I talked to my mom yesterday and she and my dad want to get out of the house so they are going to come up and visit through the windows tomorrow. That makes me so happy, I don't think I have ever gone this long without seeing them- it has been well over a month. It is going to be hard to not hug them or invite them in. But at least I don't have to worry about cleaning my house! :pound:

So yeah, nothing up for today. My friend will drop my bag of groceries off for me. We also got a notice that the produce delivery service we signed up for is back-logged by a few weeks so we won't be getting any fresh produce soon. I wasn't going to go to the FP tomorrow but I saw that they are closing for a few weeks since they are getting depleted too. Depending on what time my parents are coming, I will pop over there tomorrow.

I have no idea what started the insanity at dinner last night but my kids had us in stitches. I mean, it was bonkers. I wish I could remember what was said but it most likely wouldn't be funny to any of you. We have a very (VERY!!) strange sense of humor. Let's just say that towards the end of it all, Caitlyn started to peel the label off of her bottle of Twisted Tea that she was drinking and sticking it all over her face. (yes she is 21, not 2) Scott was throwing crazy comments at her and every time she laughed the paper bits would fall off and then she would try to restick them. The best part was at the end when one of the biggest pieces fell off and she picked it up and read it out loud. "Send us your twisted photo of how you enjoy your Twisted Tea."
Sadly she couldn't stick them back on to her face to get a picture.

(Yes, we have been isolating since March 12... just wait until another month passes... :faint2:

Gratitudes:
-I couldn't ask for a better family to be cooped up with
-I get to see my parents tomorrow!
- we didn't lose power in the crazy winds yesterday

HUGS!!!!

Trudy- ugh about the frost! We have chilly and windy but thankfully it isn't *that* cold. How was food shopping, you stayed safe and got everything you needed?
You are lucky that you were able to get a new puzzle, I was reading on Vox that puzzles at the new Must-Have Quarantine Item. LOL
I know when we ordered the two news ones last month, the brand we like best was out of stock on Amazon. Happy Birthday to FIL!! Tell him that your O-Family wishes him a wonderful year ahead!
That is wonderful news that your hospitals are doing so well. Wish I could say the same for my state. Very smart of how you are bringing the times to your ILs. It is like the Twilight Zone.
Oh my goodness! All of that applesauce hahahahahaha!!! Gross!!

Nancy- how was the weather by you yesterday? It was so windy here we had some really large branches come down but nothing near the house. It looks like it just as windy today. You really must be missing your friend and her DD at your dinners. She is the one who is recently engaged? How are wedding "plans" going?
I hope that your town is able to keep the small parks open. The milk is so crazy since some dairies are dumping milk that isn't being bought. Doesn't seem right.

Kay- I was in the same boat the night before. I woke up at 3 am and couldn't back to sleep until 5ish. Your Home nurse sounds like she is on the ball with the mask-wearing. How long will she be visiting? The temps by you -- so jealous!!!
What kind of dilution do you use for the produce? I am so unsure of what the best way to do it is, remove it from the plastic bags then wash? Put the bags in a veggie bin and leave it there for a couple of days? :noidea:

Jean- I saw a silly meme about wearing masks indoors. Not to keep you safe from the virus but to keep you from eating! I feel like I am not only eating more but very inactive. Bathing suit season is gonna be interesting ha!!!!
My daffodils are starting to bloom too and that makes me very happy. It is so darn strange about what is stocked and out of stock in the stores. Oh yes, seeing planes near tall buildings- I remember the first time we were in NYC after 9/11. It was 6 months past. A plane seemed to be flying a bit lower and louder than usual and I think everyone on the street collectively ducked. This is going to do damage to the world psyche for sure. It will be interesting (eventually) to see how it is depicted in books and movies and TV.

Felis- I am really happy that you are able to scarp for Joanne's challenge and it is helping you. I love photos of flowers and it is always a good thing to focus on precious moments during these crazy times.
Neo!! :D

It is almost 9 am, need to sign off. xoxo!!

Morning, gals. Had a good night's sleep so feeling better this morning. Weather is turning a bit cooler until Sunday... then will drop back to freezing at night and maybe get into the 50's with rain/sleet during the day. So I will enjoy the warm weather while it is still here. The trees in the backyard all have green leaves so it looks like spring out there.

So happy... DD#1's house is on the market now. They did a fabulous job on getting it ready. She said they were going to take a couple of days to relax after working so hard on it the last few weeks. Then they would work on getting things in the rental sorted and put away. I haven't seen it yet.... and looks like it will be several weeks before I get out and about to see it.

Just found out that a dear friend's son's family had been exposed and they all came down the virus... the mild form of it. They don't live with her but she had had dinner with them the day before they found out a co-worker of the DiL had tested positive. The friend is at day 10 since she was over there. Hoping that she doesn't come down with.

:noidea:

The Home Health Nurse will be coming back for another 2 weeks then she will re-evaluate if I need her longer. Don't think I will as things are improving now.

Now... as to how to treat produce...I fixed a half-full sink with warm water and 1 squirt of dish soap and added about 1/2 cup of Clorox... mixed those together. I put on disposable gloves and had an empty paper bag open. Tore open the each bag of produce, dropped the contents into the sink with the water, soap and Clorox ... then placed the empty bag into the paper bag. Did this will all the fresh produce. Peeled off the gloves by catching the top of it and turning it inside out as I took them off - and dropped them into paper bag. Closed the paper bag and took it to the trash bin outside. Put on my dishwashing gloves and moved the produce around in the water/soap/Clorox making sure everything was wet/covered. Let them soak for 5-10 minutes. Drained the Clorox water mixture and rinsed them thoroughly - I use running water. Patted them dry with paper towels then stored them in fridge or in fruit bowl. I would NOT put the product still in the bags from the store in the fridge as we don't know if cold will kill the virus that might be on the outside of those bags. PS... wash any produce bins in the fridge in hot water/soap and dry.... I use small plastic bins inside the fridge produce bins to keep items separated. As I said... I treated my produce like this for the 3 years we lived in Cairo. NOTE: I have a double kitchen sink - if you have single large sink, use a med-to-large bin to make up the water/soap/Clorox solution.
If you have items like strawberries, blackberries, etc.. I would drop them into a colander first then lower it into the solution - swish them around for only a couple of minutes, then rinse well and dry them before storing.
I treat all the fruit - like oranges, lemons even if they will peeled. I didn't soak the bananas - just dipped them into the Clorox water then rinsed and dried them immediately and hung them on the fruit bowl.

LOL over the meme of wearing a mask indoors to keep you from over-eating!! I haven't had that problem, thanks goodness... Due to all that has been going on - I have actually lost 5 lbs since I came home from the hospital. Think that might be due to cutting out things will extra salt... like chips, crackers, popcorn.

Gotta go... phone call coming in. CYL

Morning ladies... Wow another sunny blue sky morning! I feel so sorry for our kids in Ontario as they are getting snow/rain! Like it isn't hard enough to be isolated, now they can't even have any fun outside today! So DH is home today and is starting a new batch of wine for future consumption!! Gotta love that man! LOL. We are thinking of painting the cupboards in kitchen white, they are looking pretty dated and in need of sprucing up and now that we all have more time on our hands it would be a good project for us to work on together. I am trying to convince him that we should do the Island a different colour, but he just gives me that look LOL. Anyway we don't have much else to do today, except get ready to to the In-Laws for our social distancing visit. At least the weather will be nice and we can sit in the sunshine!

Chris - Oh your family is the best!! How wonderful that you all get along so well and can make each other laugh so much!! You are blessed!! So many families out there are probably ready to explode in frustration with each other! I know the horrible neighbours behind us have been yelling at each other lately (again)!! I can't believe they haven't killed each other yet :mmph: I feel so sorry for the kids being stuck in a house with two verbally abusive parents  I hope that you are able to find the missing piece of your layout today! I was happy to get my layout posted to the gallery yesterday, but I need to post it to my other online sites this morning. Ya I was wandering around the house a bit yesterday too after the hour or so if putting away the groceries I bought. What a PITA!! Oh well better to be safe than sorry right? I hope that you have a good trip to the FP today and get to talk to the nice lady that works there. Thanks for the Birthday wishes for FIL I will pass it along to him today!

Oh my sister sent me this article this morning, so thought you all might like to read it.

It's another windy day with no particular plans. Last night I made another loaf of the bread and Felis liked seeing the photos in day 4 of Joanne's challenge. (But you sure don't need a loaf pan as you know.)

Felis, it has been fun doing that challenge and sharing in the event. So nice you used the music that is being shared and is keeping your spirits up.

Chris, thanks as always for the stretching/breathing exercises. Today I could feel it in my spine maybe coming a little unkinked. Wonderful your family can keep you entertained, and us too. Wave to your folks for us.

Kay so good to hear you are improving. Keep up the good work.

Trudy, I know you're glad to have the grocery shopping done and looking forward to cheering up the ILs. Thanks for sharing the link.

Grateful that though the local art exhibit closed soon after opening the work is online on Facebook, IG & Twitter. IG: https://www.instagram.com/heightsarts/, look for Black Horse

Good morning girls!
Such a lovely morning it is.
Joanne is made Jean's bread too and I can describe you how happy made me this!
OneKitchen_JBrisebois600.jpg

Actually when I took my picture, I didn't realise how big this will become, it was just a funny story for a double try in baking breads LOL. It's weird, in one very lovely way, as they said butterflies at the stomach.
OK, about yesterday (as here is still early morning , but Saturday already) It's another sunny day with no particular plans. It's nice when your mom is your hairstylist, as she cuts my hair a little bit. Spring's renew. And it's kind of annoying when your mom is her own hairstylist too, as he ask us all the time do she is colored her hair properly, and she had missed parts. Lots of laugh! So my sister assist her in fixing. Now I'm moved the day for big cleaning at the cat house in Friday instead in the weekend, and I did this at the afternoon, it was very sunny and warm. Nothing special.
Oh, my but your Easter have to be this weekend, our is next, so I almost forgot, good that saw it at O's newsletter. This one will be interesting, with sure!

Chris, Yep, I shouldn't have watched the Matrix, with sure, it was how they said it life changing LOL! :spy:
You are one funny family with sure! How bad that Cait wasn't able to take this picture, Twisted Tea would liked it a lot! Enjoy to your parents visit, as I told to Trudy yesterday: People here understood the saying "only members of your family'' in the most broadest sense and keep visiting other houses from our family without keeping distance, which scares me a little bit.

Kay, we have similar weather and forecasts. Hoping that your daughter will be OK! It's nice to hear that you are improving!

Trudy, have fun with your togethers repainting project! And also on your visit with the ILs!

Jean, I love these challenges too! I wasn't expected such a strong sentimental response. The girls really made me happy! Marijke wrote me that she is google it the song from the music layout and I was wow, I wasn't posted the link as I don't expected someone to be interested. I do not need a loaf pan and don't have as traditionally breads here are made round :) .
Thanks for sharing the link! I immediately recognize the yours painting! I'll look at the whole exhibition more detailed later at the day.

Gratitudes:
sun is shining and birds sing out there through my windows!
for all the ways we connect still!
for the family laugh we are still able to have, in these scary times! 8)

As it will be probably strange weekend (for you and we have other holiday here too), if I'll not coming back before Monday, you know that I wish you
Happy Easter!
