And we are winding down the month of February, its the last weekend of the month. Have you all completed the Oscraps Monthly Challenges? I haven't LOL

I hope to work on scrapping and photos and good stuff like that today. Somehow, Gary worked some magic and got my EHD uncorrupted somewhat. I am now copying my tagged scrap files from that to my C drive. Folder by folder.... its taking forever but it will be less time than retagging it all. If I were smart, I would go through and delete the stuff I don't use any more, like a lot of the freebies I collected when I first started scrapping. Did we all do that, go crazy collecting stuff and then never use it?

Tomorrow I am going to see my baby!!! I have not seen him since Jan 8!!!! My goodness I miss him.

What good plans do you have this weekend?

Morning all!

Chris so gald you located the tagged files and YES dump the stuff you don't use..........time to spring clean the EHD! We all collected too many freebies 'cause we knew we would use them 'sometime.' BUT so many of those freebies never saw their sometime on our pages. Just glad you found those tagged files.

I'm catching up today and hoping to accomplish much. Dealing with letter from the Internal Revenue my elderly mother received as she is being audited.......really, now! She has not had to file taxes in years due to her age and only income is SS.........calgon take me away! Hope to get this resolved quickly and painlessly.

Suppose to be in the 50's and no bad weather here. Have a good day everyone.

Phyllis- how did the pee test go? Hope you are feeling ok.
Thanks for the recipe! I can add some flax and bran to that too. I should also get some bananas defrosted and make banana bread/muffins for her today too. I usually use a blend of whole wheat and regular flour, then throw in flax/bran and she doesn't know the difference.
Stay warm today!

Kristy- Feel better!!!

Trudy- I think you meant to say "didn't"
At least you did hit each other with a brick!
But if you want, we can...

Evaaaaaaaaaaa, Catch! :brick:

Teehee!! Eva, you know I adore you right??

Happy anniversary to both of you!! That is an inspiration! Have a very romantic date with YMG!

Stef- (Disclaimer-- I used to work for ACDSee, but not any more and I don't recommend them on their business practices the way they laid me and more importantly my boss off)
Anyway.... I tried several other organizing software over the years, and in spite of its quirks, ACDsee is the one that seems to handle scrap supplies and photos the best. I tired Picasa, Windows Live Gallery, Adobe Bridge, and the organizer that comes with Elements. So I tend to still recommend Photo Manager with caveats, like don't move things outside of it, right Gary??? LOL
It sounds like you got hit with the flu-- I hope that you are resting and feel better asap!!

Oh Donna, auditing your mom??? That is just crazy :(
I think I am going to take your advice and go through some of my non-Oscraps stuff and delete, delete, delete!!!

i have been on a de-cluttering jag for months. that includes digi stuff i never use. it feels SO good to get rid of things.

pee test results next week, i guess. hopefully the prob is gone.

it SNOWED last night. but it's supposed to be 40-something tomorrow and 60 by Thursday. so. my plan is to stay inside in my PJs for as long as possible and eat odd things. i am currently enjoying a diet A&W Root Beer and some low fat string cheese.

happy weekend, all. do some ART.

Morning ladies and Happy Saturday... It looks like it might be a pretty nice day! The memorial service that I went to yesterday was very nice, a packed house and it was nice to see so many familiar faces from the past. Lots of people that I haven't seen since I was a little girl growing up in my small town of Youbou. There was a bad accident on the way two vehicles in the ditch because of the snow on the road, but people just don't slow down and drive according to the weather. :nono:

Chris - Opps did I say that?? Perhaps that was a little Freudian slip?? :becky: Good for you for clean house in your EHD! I really should do that too! Do you also get rid of any layouts that you have stored? I always wonder if I should delete any of those also. Thanks for the Anniversary Wishes, not sure if we are going out tonight or tomorrow night ? Watching to see what the weather does, because we have to do the Malahat Drive to get to Victoria.

Donna - An Audit on your Elderly Mother Really???? Don't you just love the tax man!! Hope you get it fixed up without much hassle!!

Well off to browse the beauty in the gallery for a bit. to everyone else who pops in today!

afternoon ladies! Had dance practice, shopped at kohls and actually bought my son's birthday gift over a month in advance. Tonight we are going to a mystery dinner theater local production. Never been to one, so it should be fun! I won the tickets at work. So now, laundry and other weekend stuff before we go. OH need to walk on the treadmill.

Yes, I ended up with the flu. :( I was feeling a little better this morning, but this afternoon I am wiped.

Good evening ladies. We are home! We checked out yesterday morning at 11 (HI time) and our plane didn't leave until 11 pm so lots of time to kill. However, if you are going to kill time, I would highly recommend doing it in Maui!

We got home at about 1:30 this afternoon and then went to Dad's to have pizza and champagne cake. Today would have been my mom's 79th birthday. All of the grandkids were there as well as a girlfriend and boyfriend. I think it helped everyone to be together.

Chris, I haven't got the monthly challenges done...only three of them I think. I may still get a couple more done before it is over. Glad that you found the tags...YAY for Gary. And glad that you get to see your nephew tonight. I miss mine terribly when I go for more than a week without seeing them.

Kristy, glad that hubby helped with the girls today. Hope the flu bug is on its way out at your house.

Laurie, can't wait to hear about the mystery theater...we did that once and really enjoyed it.

Oh Donna, what is wrong with the IRS that they would audit your mom? Hope that goes fast.

Hi Eva!!!

Phylis, I must say that the string cheese and Diet AW don't sound so appealing. But tomorrow I start Medifast...must get this weight under control...as well as my A1C...ugh...

Trudy, anxious to hear what you guys decided to do for dinner tonight. Hope you had fun!

Stef, sorry that you are under the weather. Everyone just needs to get healthy!!!

Linda!!! Does it feel good to be home or are you missing Hawaii? I would be feeling both at the same time I am sure.

That is so nice to be able to have the family together for your mom's birthday. My SIL's mother's 80th would have been last week and they all went to a Irish pub to "celebrate."

Stef-- get back to bed! Hope that you are feeling tons better today, but you don't want to push yourself.

Kristy- great news onthe weight loss!!!!!

Eva

Laurie-- how was your dinner? Sounds very fun!

Trudy- hope that you are doing great too and either did or will enjoy that fancy dinner :)

Phyllis- no carbs, good diet LOL

xoxo

So yesterday I was all set to get some scrapping done. After 24 hours of copying stuff that was tagged from my EHD to my new drive-- guess what happened?? Almost all of the tags got lost again. I have NO clue how that happened. I spent the rest of the afternoon trying to Restore databases, find Backups anywhere and everywhere. Now I am back to copying the files over again, folder by folder....
what a nightmare.....

Oh Chris, that sounds painful- the dinner theatre was fun- it was good to see my husband laugh- he has been so caught up at work. I would do it again, they only put it on every 2 years, but next time, I would go with friends. We really didn't know the people we sat at the table with. I'm heading in to get caught up, do banking and a bit of shopping, then the rest of the day home!

Morning all..heading west to Kauai today from LA so a day spent up in the sky. All in all, I'd be just as happy to stay in LA but this is his trip so off we go!

Linda, nice to have A1c company. gotta get mine done again next month. hope you're arriving home refreshed and relaxed. i can't imagine being on a plane for that long!!

and then there's Maureen, heading over to take your place, Linda! Maureen, enjoy. have as wonderful a time as you possibly can.

hope all the ladies and little guys with the flu are on the mend.

Chris. good old retro folders. the answer to tagging disasters. you poor thing. i can just imagine being in that nightmare scenario. computers. The Eaters of Time. :fear:

Morning ladies! A quick hello and then I have laundry to do and brunch to make! Off to Victoria today to spend the afternoon at a special exhibit at the Royal B.C. Museum. It's the Wildlife Photographers of the year and I can't wait to see it! Then off to dinner somewhere, not sure where yet? Have a wonderful day everyone!!
