Happy President's Day O's. And Happy 72nd birthday to my mother! I have to be sure to call her when it's a resonable time back home in Hawaii. I hate the time difference! It seems either she or I are waking the other up half the time when we call :)
I finished my freebie mini kit for week two of the design challenge at Brownie Scraps. I'm pleased with how this one came out for the most part. You can see it and find links to the other kits on my blog.
We had a restful day here yesterday. Mr. Wonderful is still shot from being on the road for a week working 12-16 hour days and not getting enough sleep. Hopefully he's a little caught up now.
I need to go to the cell phone place today and see if we can figure out what to do about Jenna's phone. Just bought it in August and all of the sudden the screen does not work. So no texting or even being able to see who is calling. She went in to a verizon store in Palo Alto but they would not help her. They told her that even tho Verizon has bought out Alltel. The transition hasn't been completed so they are not able to service Alltel customers yet. So we'll see if our local store here can recommend a solution. I hate having her that far away without a phone that we can count on!
Meeting Mr. Wonderful in town for lunch and to sort out the cell phone fiasco. Hope you all have a wonderful day!

...loves her some "O"
wow!!! quiet day in the Os today!!!

I LOVE MONDAYS!! just had to say that again!! Mr Gorgeous took off for CA again this morning...*sigh* I had such a wonderful weekend with him, that it'll have to keep me until Friday!

Saturday night, he and I went to my mom's and were her "wait staff" for her valentine's party. She had invited a bunch of single women over for soup, salad and a movie...very elegant and fun!! and we had a gob of fun serving them. My favorite part was when one woman came in and said, "sally, what are you doing here? I thought you'd be with Donnie..." and I said, "I am!" It was such a blessing to my mom, too...she didn't have to do dishes or serve anything. It was awesome!! and Mr Gorgeous did it just for me! *sigh* love that man!

Today I have a billion things to do...crafting-wise. I have a new feature on my BLOG called trendy tuesday and i have a tutorial using new Stampin' Up! products. Trying to kick my business up a notch while enjoying crafting! I'll probably add some digi tutorials, too!! Won't that be fun?? So I have to get that together and start getting ready for my Stamp club workshop this Thursday night.

Tomorrow is one of my BFFs birthdays, so we are hoping to take her to the museum exhibit, The Birth of Christianity. It has had really good reviews, so we are all looking forward to it. We just have to make sure my friend isn't too sick. She's been dealing with bronchitis-type stuff and been partying a bunch, too! so she may not be ready to forage out!! LOL!!

Well, hope your Monday is as full of hope as mine is!!! you can borrow some of mine (hope, that is) if you need some!!!

Linda, hope the cell phone mess gets worked out, dear!! I'll check out your blog here in a sec!!

love you all!!!

always chatty at the O!!
Good morning!!

Boy it is quiet here! I hope everyone had a great weekend. My weekend was great and even a little restful. By Saturday afternoon I ended up with only one kiddo. It was just me and Addie. It was great. She was being adorable and we got a nap and everything. When I got home dh went straight to bed so me and little miss Addie Paddie stayed up watching Viva la Bam on MTV since I couldn't find the remote. That show really does crack me up though. But Addie was just loving on me and being so adorable. It was nice to just have a little bit of time with her.

Last night we got to go and see the Lion King. We got it as a gift from my parents for Christmas. Ethan loved it. It was absolutely amazing. Ethan was dancing in his seat and was just so much fun to watch enjoy the show. Not to mention we enjoyed it immensely also. Afterward we were walking out and walked along the side of the theater and all the actors started coming out. So we got a picture of the kids who played Simba and Nala with Ethan. The girl was really sweet and Ethan thought it was just so cool. It was aweome.

So, President's Day?? I think it is such a strange holiday. Don't get me wrong we should have a day to remember presidents but it is just strange to me. Don't know why. Wierd or not, it is considered a holiday for me and since the clinic I work at is not a Providence (the company I work for) clinic and the doctor who owns the clinic is very cheap and doesn't pay his employees very well or give them holidays or anything good like that they are open. Which means I get to decide whether or not I'm working. So, here I am at work getting holiday pay and not working very hard at all. Can't beat that. I think I will take the extra money I make today and put it in my laptop fund. I think I may have to not get a Mac, which I am sad about but I need to be able to afford my lap top. I'm thinking maybe HP. We'll see. My dh has a IBM thinkpad that I have been using but it is kinda crappy. I want one with a LOT of HD and stuff. I think I will be having to learn how to use PS Elements soon though since getting CS4 would cost hundreds of dollars. We'll see what I can figure out later. Maybe I can work something out at Bestbuy or something. I know someone who works there, so we'll see what I can figure out. I need to harass him and ask him a bunch of questions.

Well, that is about it. today the craziness of 3 kids begins again. I think this week will start going more smoothly now that we have some rules and stuff. We'll see.

Linda - That stinks about the phone. I have a suggestion for you. My hubby and I both had phones that crapped out randomly and we didn't have the option to get new ones yet. So, we got go phones from the same company that had been refurbished and we switched out the sim cards. It was much less expensive than buying new phones and we even got pretty decent phones.

Sally - I am so glad you are able to fake Mondays better than me. I'm actually feeling pretty good for a Monday. The knowledge of getting time and a half helps, but I'm actually feeling good. Sorry YMG is gone this week again. It is ending soon though, didn't you say? I am very excited for you that you will get to have him home full time soon. It is so hard having your family apart. That exhibit sounds really cool. there is a group at my church doing The Truth Project which sounds like it would be along the same lines and it sounds really cool, but the time doesn't work for me. Too bad.

To anyone else who visits today...Happy President's Day. Have a happy Monday.

Hi all!

Thanks to those who scrapped with us at the chat last night. I loved the page I made.

Sally, your hubby is an awfully good guy. (Even though you ditched us. hee hee) (Although, if Matt had asked me to hot tub, I would have ditched us too!)

Sandra - I'm glad your dad is doing well.

Hi ME, Hi Kat (hope the sickness is gone), Hi Clara, Hi Linda (did you have school today?)

We had an inservice and I had a frustrating morning, but friends bought my lunch to make me feel better and when I got back to school, I found out that I had received a tech grant that I applied for. So that's really exciting! 13 .mp3 player/recorders with dual headphone jacks and extra memory cards. We are going to have fun!!

Had a good dinner and a light workout. Now if Ben would just stop crying, we'd be having a great evening. He seems to be in a very "baby-ish" mood tonight. He was talking like a baby and whining a lot. I just hope he isn't getting sick.

Well, I'm off to check out the other threads and gallery. Have a good night all!
