Good morning, ladies. By not seeing Chris' thread this morning, I hope it means she is enjoying her weekend away. It seemed so strange to open up the forum and not have her morning post to read, it's become such a habit.

I'm scrapping a bit this morning and then my GD is coming over for an afternoon movie, lunch and if it's not raining, a walk with Taz. Then I'll drop her off, get groceries and make dinner. It might just be me as my hubs is on call this weekend so will be in and out a lot and might not be home for dinner. I want to watch a few episodes of "Code Black" tonight. It'll be a nice relaxing day.

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Morning Rae and Taz! It always makes me smile when I see your Avi!! It does seem strange to not have Chris's post to read! I know that she is having a marvellous time away from home this weekend! Sounds like you are going to have a great day! Hope your hubs does not get called away!! I hated it when my DH was on call with the RCMP it never failed he always got called away and when he worked for the major crimes division he got called away for sometimes weeks at a time. So happy those days are over and done with!! He refuses to even own a cell phone now because of it :becky:

We are off to do some errands and spend some money at the grocery store and the Farm Market today. Our little city has the best outdoor market right downtown with all kinds of fabulous things to buy, sure hope it doesn't pour rain on us while we are there. One thing us West Coasters have plenty of are umbrellas though

When I lived in Saskatchewan I owned one umbrella and I think everyone thought I was nuts for having it. Now I think I own about 5 of them and have them stashed all over the place LOL. Hope you have a great weekend everyone I hope to sometime today be able to get some scrapping time in, but the hubs keeps me pretty busy with things he thinks are much more important than scrapping. What on earth is more important than scrapping???? :becky:

Good morning, Trudy. When I lived in Ontario (until I was 21), I had never owned an umbrella. It didn't rain enough to worry about it. The first few years of living in BC almost drove me crazy with all the dampness and rain. Enjoy the market today. I'm popping into our local produce market today. I need to stock up on veggies and fruits for the week. I am trying to follow a diet plan of half my plate with veggies. Today I'm going to rice cauliflower for Chinese fried rice throughout the week.

Afternoon, Ozzies! Strange not only to have Chris away but only the BC gals posting. We have snow and cold and probably no plans to go out until dinner.

Rae, don't understand not needing an umbrella in Ontario. South of the border in Ohio we need them, just not like in BC.

Trudy, I still say it's better than snow and cold!

Jean - I think it's b/c it didn't rain long, just a matter of hours, and then would be gone for days. Not like here in Vancouver where it can rain off and on for days and days.

good evening! I am winding down on my birthday. Got up at 6:30am to get ready for a hockey road trip with the NJ Devils fan club. We caught the bus and then the group headed south to Phylly. It is a quick trip but was great to let someone else do the driving. The Devils scored first but the Flyers tied it in the 3rd. And then the Devils won it in OT. It was awesome. A great birthday present! And now tomorrow for Valentines I am going with my son and his girlfriend to tomorrow's NJ Devils vs the LA Kings. My son that usually goes with me is staying home with his wife for the day. My DH is staying home to play with Rex and Luther. It is a 12:30 start so I will be able to come home and watch more Sunday hockey. So far the dogs are doing pretty well.

Rae and Trudy and Jean so glad that Chris is off on her weekend away! Glad that they all could work it out! Family LOL

Trudy and Rae I never owned an umbrella in Arizona and I still to this day hate using them. I would much rather just put a hat on or put up the hood on my jacket. I don't think I could ever live in the NW with all the rain and so few sunny days. I need sun!

Jean we are having a cold snap. Then temperature has been dropping all day and the wind has been picking up. Low tonight in the single digits but at least we are not expecting any snow. It is not supposed to last too long thank goodness!

Have a great night all!
