I'm going to be quick, we got about a foot of snow yesterday. This morning the sun is out, the plow just came thru our street so we are going to shovel the driveway so I can get my car out and I'm going to take a shovel with me in case I get stuck, but I'm going to try to drive over to colony farms and take Taz out for a walk while I take a few photos.

I'll be back later to check in with you all.

Morning Rae, wow you guys really got hit with the snow, we did not get any!! Well nothing that stuck to ground anyway. Ugh poor you having to deal with all that white stuff yet again!! Sun is out here and the mountain tops look so pretty with fresh snow, but sure glad it did not get to the lower elevations! Hopefully the sun will soon melt all of your snow away! Be careful out there my friend, its the other guys you have to worry about! :car: :fear: Not much happening here for us today, a bit of shopping for food etc. We live a pretty boring life :bored: Tomorrow will be bottling some white wine and perhaps a visit from MIL/FIL.

Chris - I hope you are having a great time!

Jean - Did you get to see the spring training game? I hope you had a good time at it and that the weather was not too grey and cold!

Felis - I have many days when I don't do anything exciting LOL No Hunter is the total opposite of Mason and is not afraid of anything so far. He is full of energy and the Dr. said that there is nothing wrong with his tummy or anything, but if he still has not moved his bowels in another week then to give him some restora-lax, hopefully it just happens naturally. He doesn't seem to be uncomfortable or cranky so that is good! Enough talk about pooping :becky: I hope that you are not too busy with your work weekend and that it all goes smoothly for you, so you can get some scrapping time in too!

:hello: to you Nancy! I hope that the sun is out for you and Luther today!

Gotta go and get in the shower so we can get out and spend more $ :mmph: Have a great weekend everyone! Do something fun today!

It's gray and a little above freezing here so not bad but not enticing. The spring training games are in Arizona; we were just watching on TV. The team has some new players and one important one hit a home run his first time at bat. It was so nice watching baseball again! And some early crocus next door were in bloom.

I think I wrote about the crazy puzzle contest we work on with a group in January and into Feb. Well we got our results: a perfect score! Yea us.

Sure hope Chris is relaxed and enjoying with the female side of the family.

Felis, hope your work is done easily and leaves you not too tired. The weekly page will get done whenever. The Quillcam is on again so I think the wheel is probably good again too.

Rae, thanks for starting the thread. Hope you don't have trouble with either the shoveling or driving in the snow. If you get out I know Taz will love it and you'll get super photos.

Trudy, I'm sure you're all happy the doc said Hunter is fine. Looking at the snow higher up is fine since it didn't get to you. Enjoy bottling and a quiet day.

Nancy, don't think the hockey went well, but hope you still had a good time.

Enjoy the weekend, everyone.

It is late on Sunday morning and I am feeling good. Yesterday was a busy and crazy day of hockey. First went to my son's home for pregame party for hotdogs, hamburgers and drinks. It was fun. There were 10 of us ranging in age 5 to 60+. The little 5 year old was so cute dressed in his Elias jersey. Got to the Rock around 5 pm and by the time we got to our seats it was just about time for the ceremony. They had some great videos before the start of the ceremony. While the ceremony was awesome it was about 90 min long. Patrik got very emotional which I like a lot. He really does feel the fans were important. He also felt it was important for him to retire as Devils - he was only a Devil. The game start time was so delayed and the Devils were out of sync in the first period. But began to play better in the second but were down 1-0 which I thought was good. But in the third period they got their feet and Kyle Palmiere scored two goals and the Devils won 2-1. The refs were horrible! So many penalties not called. I figured they probably had a late game and needed to make a flight for their next game. Luckily it did not cost my team the win. The Devils are 5-0 when retiring a jersey. I was the designated driver on the way home as of course the gang drank at the game. I got to driver at fancy Ford Explorer. It was so smooth. It is bigger than my Ford Escape but not too big. I am always happy when the kids respect me enough to drive their cars. Came home and saw that the Germans were only losing to the Russians 1-0 so stayed up to watch the game. The Germans had a chance to win the gold but not ever being in this stressful situation they made one late mistake in the third period and allowed the Russians to tie the score and finally the Russians won in OT. This is the first time in many years watching Olympic hockey that the winners of the silver medal were happy and smiling in their photos. So I was up until 2 am. I was up at 7 am my body just does not sleep very late. Today is just stay inside as it is pour rain. Should stop by late afternoon. My DH is out walking dog in rain. So next week I have not home games so I can rest up after the great Patrik Elias Devils celebration week.

I bet Chris is having a great weekend even with the rain. Sitting in front of a fire will be so relaxing for her and Cait.

Trudy glad you did not get snow. It is not amazing how two boys can be so different from the same parents. My boys are so different. Glad there is nothing wrong with Hunter's tummy. Have fun bottling wine!

Rae wow a foot of snow. Good thing is always that it should melt fast now that there is more daylight. I bet Taz is happy though and you will get some awesome photos. Take care driving!

Jean how fun to be watching baseball. My sister said she was colder in AZ than I was in NJ. Hope your grey sky goes away soon. We should have sun here tomorrow and up near 60.

Felis that is awesome that you are scrapping! Have fun.

Have a great day all!

Good morning, ladies. I was outdoors a lot these last couple of days, letting Taz enjoy the snow. Today it has warmed up, above freezing, so the snow is starting to get wet. It is going to be a mudpit around here this week as all this snow melts. We had about 16". Our trip to Colony Farms was beautiful yesterday morning. No one was around, just us. D stayed in the truck, listening to music (his boots weren't high enough for the deep snow but he's not really into hiking around anyway). Taz and I had a blast. He learned how to burrow his body under the snow and then push up, leaping upwards out of the snow, spraying snow all around him. He did it for quite awhile, it was fun to watch. He's never done that before LOL. When we got home Taz rested while we had lunch and then we went back outdoors so he could play with his friend across the street. By last night he was exhausted and zonked out early. He's curled up in my LR chair now snoozing away. I'll be taking him for a hike later along the river with his buddy across the street so they can play in the snow again.

I got a couple of cast iron pans from VV on Friday so this wkend I have stripped them down to their base and have been conditioning them. Today they will get a few more baked seasonings and then tonight they will be ready to use. I watched quite a few youtube vids to see all the different ways of stripping, conditioning and maintaining. I can't wait to cook steak in it tonight.

Later I have tax stuff to work on, want to edit a few more of my snow pics and tonight we'll be watching the 2 hr finale of Big Brother. If Omarosa wins, D will be screaming LOL. He hates her :) I want Ross to win.

Trudy - enjoy the wine bottling and visit with the in-laws. Hope your temps have warmed up a bit as ours have. We're just above freezing so hopefully it stays that way.

Jean - enjoy the baseball.

Felis - enjoy the snow.

Chris, Nancy....everyone else....hope you are having a wonderful wkend. I'm off to get another coffee and read a few pages of my book before jumping into the shower.

Good morning, Nancy - we were cross-posting.

Sounds like so much fun yesterday. Not much sleep though for you so hopefully today will be quiet for you. Maybe a nap later?

Hi ladies... I am late in here again today, but the wine is bottled and we are thinking of going for a walk before the In-laws arrive. However it has turned very windy, so we will see just how cold that wind is before heading out. It is a sunny day and it is a bit disappointing to see the wind pick up as it probably means some bad weather moving in for the next few days. Yesterday was good and we got all of errands and shopping done. I have already cleaned the bathrooms and done some :washing: so there won't be much to do tomorrow except for vacuuming and washing the floors.

Jean - LOL I totally misunderstood you about the spring training game and thought that it would be kind of cold out for the baseball players! Glad you were warm and cozy inside and watching it on T.V.!

Felis - So happy that you had some spare time to get some scrapping done, you can catch up with all of us any old time. Enjoy your creative process!

Nancy - Sounds like your day was filled with fun and interesting things to do! The little ones are always so cute when they are in the hockey jerseys!! Last night the Bruins did not do well against the Leafs and the officiating was horrid, but I am sure you have seen the highlights of the games :mmph: Oh well a fabulous new player coming to play with the Bruins and he might even play today, so DH and I are very happy about that!

Rae - Saw some of your photos! They are amazing! Wish you could come to our place to take photos of DH and myself, we really need to have a photo session done, it has been far too long! Our temps did get very nice yesterday and we couldn't believe how warm it was. Plus 10 here Celsius we should have gotten out for a walk yesterday when there wasn't any wind. Hope you and Taz enjoy another great day out walking and playing!

Off to make some Lunch for DH, I am not very hungry today, so might not eat until supper. For some reason I have put on a couple of pounds, so I need to really take a look at what I can do to start losing again, just a few more pounds before we go to Paris. You know that I will be overindulging while there. LOL. Have a great day everyone!

There's some sun today and the 5-day forecast shows no freezing temps. Wow, does that sound like spring?

Felis, I was so surprised to see a page on Quilliam! Delightful that you found your hedgehog photos and did pages on both of them. Hope you find more time to scrap. As Trudy said, you can post here anytime, but scrap when you're inspired. Do you get any time off between working the weekend and working next week?

Nancy, what a lot of hockey you had last week. Last night's many events sounds super. Now you can rest up and scrap some of the good times. The rain apparently will end.

Rae, Taz must have had a great time inventing a new snow game. Bet you got incredible photos. Hope you both have a good walk today.

Trudy, you've gotten so many chores done, even the bottling. Hope the ILs are doing well and you have a good visit.

Chris, keep chillin'!

Sunday was too windy and I'm too busy, so I still don't have enough time to be out. But hope soon!! It's still snowing and we have already 2 or more inch snow.

Jean, congrats for the puzzle contest excellent results! I hope spring really is came to you! I think we rush to much, Winter is coming back and it's so pretty. I'm glad you liked hedgehog pages! I wasn't understand that the spring training games are baseball, like Trudy said. I'm not much familiar with the sports, but sounds fun to have watch something favorite!

Trudy, hope you made our walk! Wind here definitely keep us inside. About what you said about that we live a pretty boring life (we too), I'm not so worried that I have boring life, but how much comfort I feel in my routine, I'm afraid that nothing spontainous isn't left in me.

Rae, thank you for opening the thread! Oh, I love your description of Taz playing at snow, it's one of my favorite things! Hope you get fun as much as we! Good that trip to Colony Farms gone without problems! I was think for you and the icy road previous day and I was worried. Who won Big Brother? Do you happy from that? Here make it but with celebrities and call it VIp Brother, but they allow them to drunk too often, and mostly are scandals, so it's not in my watching list. But we have alternative form, whith regular people and they lived and build farm. I think you'll like it to.

Nancy, Patrik Elias Devils celebration sounds great! Wow, impressive to play only at one team at whole time, this is truly dedication! And awesome that you have easy drive after that!

Chris, I hope your weekend was great! Can't wait to hear about it!

Kisses and hugs to you all!
