Its way to early to be awake on a Saturday, i should still be in bed
But I am getting my butt in gear for the Craft fair. I don't have high hopes to become a millionaire or the next Bath and Body Works ,but if I can make back my table and get rid of some stuff, I will be thrilled more than you know. My mom is coming up to hang with me for a bit, bring me lunch and then we'll both do a bit of shopping. I hope that they have some nice crafters there and not just Vendors. More and more craft fairs are becoming more Pampered Chef/Lia Sophia etc, which is wonderful for them, but not as fun to shop at. One year there was a woman who made these amazing American Girl Doll sized outfits. Cait got a couple of them for Christmas that year :) I love being able to find one of a kind type things.

I am sorry if I sounded really cranky or crabby yesterday. I was "complaining" but I meant it more tongue in cheek. I love listening to my mom, but I am one of those people who gets into a "zone" and then she invariably interrupts my train of thought and then *poof* no thoughts left... hahahaha! She knows it too LOL

I got a bit accomplished, three more people off my list and one gift basket is soon to be assembled. I wish I knew what to gte my nieces (9 and 11) and my nephew (11). I hate to do Gift cards, but that might be my best/only way to go.

Not to mention my own son-- who is asking for a didgeridoo and nothing else.....

ahh, the joys of C-mas shopping. (See why I hate it??:biggrin::madgrin:)

I hope that all of you have a fabulous fantastic and scrappy day!!!
xoxoxo

Good morning Chris... you are right it is way too early to be up on a Saturday morning!! But at 5:30 I looked at the clock and I was wide awake :frusty: So thought I should come and hang out here with you for a while. Sure hope that you do well at the Craft Fair, you never know someone might discover you and make you into the next Bath and Body Works LOL. I hate shopping too, I never know what to get my son, if he wants anything he just goes out and buys it himself, my daughter is easy to buy for, she is always dropping hints about things she would like to have. But a didgeridoo??? Oh my, you might have to hit up the Aussie girls for that one. :becky:

Hi to everyone else this morning, hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!

Hi Chris and Trudy...another early bird here, been up since 4:30 :-)

Christ hope your craft fair goes well! I know how much work those fairs are.

And don't even talk to me about shopping...blah! For my nieces and nephew I don't even bother with gift cards...they like cold hard cash ...ha ha!

Hope you all have a good weekend and get some scrapping done!

I've been up since 4:30 too.....watching "The Note" and bawling my eyes out....it's such a thoughtful piece, and really makes you think about what is important in life.....

Have a wonderful weekend dear ladies and thank you for being who you are!

OK. this is freaking me out. i posted right after you, Chris, a few hours ago, and now my post is gone!!:noidea:

well. hope everyone has a great weekend! i'm not up to retyping that first post!!

Morning all!

Hope you have a great weekend. I've been up early too and now I'm navigating my way around the forum and checking out all the December activity and headed back to the cookie exchange to check out Phylis' recipe.............could you bring a dozen when we have coffee!

Happy Saturday whatever your plans today, ladies.
Donna

Afternoon all... I tried to get a pedicure yesterday but they were all booked up. (Trying a new place for a 'simple' cheaper pedicure) I got an appnt for today and really really liked the technician. An American who spoke English. I've gotten rather tired to listening to Vietnamese chatter between techs. I'm really not as chauvinistic as that sounds I hope, but the chatter and the blaring tv, and not at a cheap price finally got to me. Today I'm happy, like the woman who is also a real real cook, plus my tootsies are Santa Clause red. Actually Big Apple, which is perfect incentive to finish my NYC pages.

(Phylis the nail tech cans and is going to be making sauerkraut! Do you think sauerkraut is part of the collective consciousness right now???)

Now out again to the Amish market, and then a haircut at 5:30. My body will be set for 1. the holidays and 2. either a Rhine cruise or taking care of Dick with ...hopefully...some tlc.

Have a good weekend y'all!

heheh!! Very cute vid! TFS ViVre!

ugh. i thought I wpouild be able to catch up with al lof you but catzilla is here (obviousy as my typyin gget way worse thanusual)
Gonna poke arouind and read a bit here, by ck for actual commincation later

meow!!

bwaaaaaahahahaha!!!! Eva, that is hysterical. Too bad it is only 7 am here, and all I am consuming is un-spiked coffee LOL LOL

I love my evil kitty, I really do. I was in a store the other day, and there was a Christmas stocking that said "Dear Santa, I am a very good kitty." I wanted to buy it just for the sheer irony of it ;)

ATM, Catzilla is evilly-- I mean *intently*-- staring at the squirrels running around my yard, so i am going to try to type while she is absorbed in that.

I did really well yesterday. By no means millionaire, but I sold about $70 worth of product, plus I have $30 in orders. For my town, that is not bad! Today I have to unplack everything, start sorting out what I am going to use as part of the guft baskets and go from there. The kids and Gary brought down the Christmas decorations so we are planning on decorating and watching some C-mas movies today too. Tomorrow the real work of cleaning and Faery-Winging will begin.

Just as an FYI- I am sure some of the newer members are wondering why I use C-mas instead of Xmas. I used to be part of a different forum years back and some of the Christians there were offended by the general use of Xmas or Xtian. I now abbreviate Christmas as C-mas instead, thus meaning no disrespect but admittedly lazy :D

Trudy- oh don't you hate that, waking up early when you don't have to? That happened to me again this morning, woke up an immediately had all of the things I need to do today inmy head. No way to get back to sleep after that hits. We found a man online that hand makes didgeridoos from bamboo that he grows in his yard,

SEE??? tHA WAS NOT ME!! cATZILLA IS --Auuugggh! Caps Lock and Tab at same time.

As I was trying to say- this guy makes them by hand, and we ordered one from him, so its pretty cool! Scott also wants a djembe (sp??) an African Talking Drum that I think my mom is going to get for him. He is one interesting boy, I'll tell ya that!

Diane, hope you were able to sleep in today!

You too Fran....

The computer gremlins have stoled Phyllis and her posts!

(Ok, now this is bad, bad, bad. Catzilla is laying on the corner of my keybd, but not on any keys. However, she is blocking my exclamation point. That is even worse than the Caps Lock. How do you type w/o exclamation points????)

Chris, I like your C-mas. I've never cared for Xmas even without the serious religious overtones. That's a good shortcut.

Not sure what my day is going to be like. "He" doesn't have enough to do and I really don't want to be pestered all day. kwim? Maybe I need to go for a walk!

i don't think I am even going to try and catch up- even though Catzilla is otherwise occupied by the C-mas tree, which is safely in a bag on the floor as opposed to being upright and covered in treasure ornaments LOL

I do want to say "Happy Day" to all of you-- I am off to the gallery as long as I have a few minutes of "peace."

Happy Sunday everyone!! Hubby is on my nerves today!! Hanging around the kitchen while I try to cook and wanting me to help him with things he wants to do (I always forget that what he does is far more important than what I want to do :mmph:) Must be something with me today as my temper is short and I don't have much patience today. Anyway I will come back here when I am in a better mood and catch up with all of you!!
