I hate insomnia. I don't get how I can be so dang exhausted and yet I can't sleep. I woke up a bunch of times last night but woke up at 4, dozed a little while until 4.30, and have been wide awake since then. If you call "wide awake" sitting upright but in a brain fog. I have too much to do today to be zombified.
I had a list of over ten things to do yesterday. I worked on the majority of them but only officially crossed off three. All of that gets rolled over to today.

I made the two other loaves of bread:

Cute, right?
I'll attach the sun-dried tomatoes with toothpicks when I defrost them. I started the cards to fo go with them -- it was harder finding quotes about families and circles than I expected. The same one kept coming up and I wanted them to be different. The cards need a little tweaking and then I can print them out. The rest of the day was running around like a crazy lady. :dancingbfly:

Today with be a lather, rinse, repeat kind of day. First, I am going to the FP. I was really, really hoping that I wouldn't have to go this week, but they didn't have much last time and I am running out of everything. I am lucky that I am not worrying about feeding little kids at least. That makes it much harder. BTDT and I sympathize with those parents. This time if year is especially hard for them.

W is grumbling at me to go outside. BRB!

:rollingpin1:
Blergh!!!!
It snowed more than it was supposed to and is still coming down a tiny bit. The forecast was for 1" which we had by dinner time, but it looks closer to 4" ATM.
The road is covered and I don't want to have to go to the FP in a couple of hours. *dramatic sobbing*

My internal monologue:
But it looks pretty.
No, it doesn't.
But it's the Solstice so we get more light.
It's still pitch dark at 7.05 am.
But it has Christmas spirit.
BAH HUMBUG! :grinch:

:floorlaugh:

@vickyday nice to have the Olive Garden leftovers :)

OT: I made vegan fried rice for dinner last night and it was SO good. If anyone is looking for meatless recipes go to
https://www.noracooks.com/ Everything I've made from that site has been a hit. I made her Zuppa Toscana the night before and it was also incredibly good. I have leftovers of both for dinner tonight. :lovey3:

Vicky, did you enjoy the church concert last night?

@AK_Tracy those extra three seconds of light are worth it!
Taking care of yourself is not "doing nothing" (yeah yeah, I know-- take your own advice, Faery! :footinmouth: )
I hope that you were able to get the gingerbreads done without hurting yourself.

@taxed4ever It sounds like you and your HS friend had a wonderful chat. It must have been great to catch up with each other!
:jawdrop3: Wow. Your Gary really *is* retiring. *gulps* I bet it is going to be an adjustment for both of you but it will be awesome. (Eventually LOL) ♥
Tell him I said congrats!
Good for you to get yourself some new PJs and boots for Christmas :D And woo hoo, first-class flight!! Enjoy! :drinks2:

@bcgal00 What a jam-packed day of activity you had yesterday, sounds like so much fun. And on top of all that, D is getting heat in the man cave! Awesome!
All of my fingers and toes are crossed that you get to see and photograph the snowy owls. (yup, I am jealous! LOL)
hehehe about the Walmart "Roomba" behaving. Caitlyn asked if I could run out to get dried rosemary for her. I offered to go to Dollar General but no way was I going back to ShopRite after Tally made me want to do this to it:
:shakingsense:

@BrightEyes Awesome scores at the library!
Sorry that you got stuck in traffic, it is such a PITB. I am with you, I don't want to go anywhere until the holidays are over. So many accidents because of people rushing around. And the last few months there has been a huge increase in reports of wrong-way drivers on the highway that runs through my town and ones nearby. Like crazy amounts-- at least 2 a week.

On that happy note, I am going to have to get ready to shovel the driveway in a bit. Gary hurt his back the other day and is in the middle of a bad Lyme flare so if I want to get out of here this morning, looks like I am going to have to do it.
*more dramatic sobbing and throws self to the floor*
:bawling:

Have a fabulous day and I hope that everyone has time to put their feet up and rest!

Yep, I've heard this before. Only its usually about 9 a.m. and its still pitch dark. Sunrise isn't until 10:15 and ends at 3:50. Ready for longer days ahead.

Overspent yesterday. Still hurt today. But trains are done, egg rolls done, laundry done, dishwasher ran three times, so yeah. I didn't get burnt this time so I am calling it a win even though I am like over proofed bread, extra puffy and. tough.

Oh girl, its 4", throw the car in reverse, hit the gas and just go! :floorlaugh:

Today and next Saturday! Then I am done working. Cant wait. I will most likely be sitting today (uncomfortable chair) and watching to see if any questions arise. One will be on time one will be late. Almost done. Just wish I could read my book like I use to do at work. Nope, two women who live alone, they like to talk.

Okay need coffee and ibuprofen, Have a great day!

Oh and Chris, I know the movie quote you left in the game thread but can not think of the name!!! I see the kid on his bike and I laugh but cant think of the name!!!! @faerywings

Morning, all. Sleeping in is getting to be the 'norm' lately. Of course, reading until 11PM could have something to do with it... :floorlaugh:

Oooops... BRB

I forgot to turn the heat up (from 65* to 72*). Need it warmer so I can take my shower.

I think I will work on bringing the DVD inventory up to date as I can do that sitting down. It is really far behind. Oh, shoot... just remembered I need to compare the inventory to the actual DVDs I have - just in case I have missed writing any of them down. And, I should weed out any of them that I don't want to keep. :giggle4: And also mark which ones I have watched. Oh... I discovered that in the last bunch, I had picked up a DVD of a movie I have been looking for ages..."No Way Out"- one of Kevin Costner's early movies. It was as good as I remembered.

Those loaves are going to look wonderful with the sun-dried tomatoes!

Oh Chris @faerywings that bread is calling my name really loudly!!!!!! And we're insomnia sisters! I haven't had a good nights sleep in a few weeks.

Still have the Olive Garden leftovers. I guess they will get eaten sometime this weekend. Probably not today.
The concert was wonderful last night!

Boy, oh, Boy!
I came down with something overnight! I woke up sick to my stomach (not really that unusual). Next thing I know my head is all stuffy, as is my nose....I don't understand how you can be stuffy and your nose runny at the same time! I have a headache and a sore throat. I didn't sleep much at all and finally just got up and came to the recliner so I could at least breathe! What in the world?! That came out of the blue!

Not doing much today for obvious reasons. Drinking hot tea to help the sore throat. I did get another page scrapped but that's about all my head can stand. So I'm going to post it and turn off the computer. Hoping I feel better tomorrow so I can attend church, but it's not looking good!

Have a wonderful weekend! At least it is sunny out today, but pretty chilly!

Well... managed to get my shower. Then went to work on comparing the inventory list to the actual DVDs I have. Good thing that I did it. There were close to 20 I did not have on my printed/written inventory!!! :wow2::thud:o_O:thud::crying1:  Well worth the 2 hours I spent working on that. Only had 2 duplicates and decided to get rid of several others. Calling it quits for the day as the back, knees, shoulders and hands are yelling at me. Will set up the laptop tomorrow and get the inventory up to date. Time to dig out Dr Scholl's Chair massager and take a pain pill.

Going to fix sweet potato fries and a hamburger for supper. Then head to bed early tonight.

Silly question-- are birds attracted to certain colors?
We drove to the VA/NC state line today to visit a friend who lives in Roanoke. We meet half way twice a year, so just now getting to the computer and seeing your question! Yes! Birds see colors - not a silly question at all. Not only is it for food identification, but also courtship, camouflage/protection, species identification, sex identification. Your idea of testing it with different colored nesting material is super cute.
Does your Belle do that too?
Yes! She does! She's always coming up with super creative ways to teach the kids.
Oh girl, its 4", throw the car in reverse, hit the gas and just go! :floorlaugh:
That is the funniest visual from all day!
I'm cleaning up the house and doing some last minute shopping today. I still can't believe that in a week from today I will be picking @Cherylndesigns at the airport!!
You two will have so much fun!! What a neat opportunity to get together IRL!
