Merry Christmas to all of my O-zies!
I am drinking coffee and ignoring the mess for now. The kids want to be up around 8 so Santa better get off [her] butt and eat the cookies they left for him. I know I always come across grumpy but even in my undercaffeinated state- 1 mug down, many more to go LOL- I am honestly very happy.
I missed my BFF and her family so much last night but she was with us all in spirit and in the form of a paper plate face. We texted each other some pictures.
I have loads of things to prep but whatever happens, happens.
My heart is still a bit sad, it is the anniversary of Leah's dad's passing today. Tomorrow is Sam's b-day that she shares with her brother who passed. Ian is coming here today and I know it is going to be hard for him. I wish I could wrap all of the people who are sad or lonely or in pain with so much love and peace. *That* would be a superpower.

At any rate- sending everyone BIG hugs and maybe a handful of Tums for later Bwuahaha!!

Oh and @tanteva, I am back to begin Italian- more food and celebrations today. However, no *way* I am going to think about becoming English for Boxing Day. :p

Good morning and Merry Christmas all! We unwrapped gifts last night and although there weren't many, everyone was impressed. Sydney liked the computer that I got for Shaun but is quite content to search for one now---she approved of the budget. I also got her a UF Gator reusable shopping bag and told her that if she gets in and that's where she wants to go, I'm 100% onboard. She said she isn't sure but I think she appreciated the support. And they were excited about the trip...I am too. Brian sat and read his guidebook of the Netherlands for over an hour.

Now it's time to cook dinner. I'll be back later today!

Merry Christmas! Our day started with hugs all around, peppermint mocha coffee, and lots of love. Can't do better than that.

@faerywings I'd like that super power, too!

Merry Xmas ladies. I've got an hour or so to myself. The dogs are snoozing. Jen took Bella with her to go pick up Bailey to bring her over for gifts and dinner. I'm sure Bella is snoozing in the back seat of the car b/c she was looking exhausted after all the snow play this morning. We have about 4-5" of snow and its been non-stop outdoor fun for the dogs, especially the pups. Darrell is on call today and got called out so he's gone for an hour or two. After today he is absolutely done with work, just has to give back the company vehicle and finalize the paperwork for his pension. I took the pups over to the river to play off leash and run around. They loved it, racing thru the snow at warp speed.

Turkey is in the oven, I'm going to go clean up the kitchen a bit and then look at the photos I've taken so far.

Have a wonderful day everyone...Merry Xmas!

Merry Christmas night! It's almost over. I hope it was a good day for everybody. I'm exhausted, but we've had lots of fun.

Good morning all! We have finished Christmas...only thing to do now is to eat leftovers and put away the tree. I might save the tree until next week...it looks kind of pretty and festive and since my friend will be here on Wednesday, it might be nice to have it up. We will see.

Sounds like everyone had a busy and tiring day! That's good. Syd's back at work already and Shaun works at 1:00. I'm still trying to get the hang of having kids that work. I'm busy "planning" our trip. I have a countdown app on my phone and I'm sure I'll drive you all crazy before I leave...but that's only 125 days ;). I think that I'm going to spend a little bit of time scrapping today. Might even listen to an audible book while I do it.

Hey O-fam. Just wanted to let you know I am going to be a bit MIA. My family is all healthy and safe but not fine.
Very long and heartbreaking story- Scott and Leah broke up last night. I am feeling a full range of emotions of utter despair for him and anger at her. Coated in layers of numbness that when it wears off is going to make me hurt and rage like a true Mama Bear.

Can use all good thoughts. Thank you

There are no words that can help when this happens to a family member. Just know that I am sending love to you and the family. So sorry the GF chose to tell him on the holiday. Take the time you need to help Scott and for you to deal with your emotions. <<< hug >>>

Baked some Triple Berry muffins for Christmas breakfast. Oh... they were so good and I enjoyed every bite. And, yes, I froze some to have in the coming days. Thank heavens for the large freezer so I have quite a bit to chose from when I don't feel like cooking. I decided that I was going to take a holiday from cooking most days until next year. :D
My Christmas day was spent with my memories... looking at the albums of my hubby's career that I created the year he passed on. And looking at our 50th anniversary album. So many wonderful memories of our life together. So glad that I scrap all those special events and those every day ones, too. The photos are so precious now and wish I had taken even more. I decided to watch War and Remembrance - The Final Chapters (6 DVDs) last evening. Even though I don't have the first set to the mini-series, I remembered enough of the story and people to know what was going on. WOW... didn't finish watching them until midnight. Well worth losing a bit of sleep to see it to the end. Have a special Bonus DVD that came with the set that I will watch today.

No special plans for the day. Glad I had packed the Christmas decorations away already so the house is looking 'normal'. Easier to get back to the normal routine when that was done. The countdown to the New Year has started. Already have a few items on my 'to do list' once it arrives. Have a few 'feel good' items on there that I will talk about when the time is right.

Thinking of all you O's and sending my love to you all.

Good morning ladies. Just a quick hello. This mornign I've been trying to stretch and work out the kinks in my body from the overly busy last couple of days, but the back held up pretty good. Soon we'll take the dogs out to the dog park to play in the snow. Remi has a new friend (met them last week at the park) and Benjy (another mini aussie) with his owner Michelle will be joining Jen and I and the 3 dogs at the park. They should have so much fun in the snow. Remi is crazy, wants to be out there all the time. She absolutely loves the snow, more than any other dog I've ever had. I have some fun pics of her.

We had a wonderful time with Bailey here yesterday and Jen took her home at 7:30 last night. We were exhausted by then, watched a few episodes of Dexter and went to bed by 10. I slept like a log.

Got my 3rd (booster) shot booked for Wed next week, got the notice this morning. I'm snowed in but hubs should be able to get the truck out.

@faerywings I'm so sorry to hear about Scott and Leah. That's so sad to hear.

I'm going to check my photos that are loading onto the computer, get another coffee and then start getting ready to go out. Jen will be picking us up in a bit Have a good day everyone.

Christmas is over. Seems I've planned it perfectly, the last of the Christmas food will be eaten for lunch tomorrow. Have been utterly lazy the whole time, spending it mainly scrapping, watching TV & playing Happy Color on the tablet. Urban has been busy most of the time, putting the finishing touches to a book he's been writing. He's asked me to make the cover, and I'm a bit stressed about that. He thinks I'm a wizard on digital design ... Told him, it's not me, it's the designers who do great kits. LOL Now I need to manage on my own, since I can't use any designs for this. LOL

I told Chris I will be helping with starting the Daily Ooo for the days she needs me to. I know ... I'm stepping into shoes too big for me, but at least we will have a thread to chatter in.

Oh Chris. I am so sorry. I am hoping that this is something that is not permanent but it feels like it might be from your post. Hang in there dear friend! Scott will survive because he has you in his corner! Love to your whole family!

I'm glad that the scrapbook pages bring you happiness! I think this is really what scrapbooking is all about! And even better that you are taking a holiday from cooking. My son asked before he left for work what was for supper tonight and I just laughed and told him that until the leftovers are gone, there will be no additional cooking.

Ah Eva. How very sweet of you to start the Daily O's for awhile. You will be great! And I'm sure that Chris appreciates it. And how cool that Urban wants you to make the cover! Can't wait to see what you do!

Rae it sounds like yesterday was a great day. Hope you didn't need to get up early this morning. The exercise at the dog park is probably just what is needed to work the kinks out. Hope you have a great day...I know the dogs will! And congrats on the appointment for the booster. I can't tell you how good it makes me feel to know that I've had a booster.
