Happy weekend!!!!

I am just doing a super-quick fly by, my head is so darn scattered today, that it is taking me twice? 100 times? longer to get anything done.
But I didn't want to forget about saying good morning to all of you!

Good morning ladies, I'm BAAAACCKK!!! Although yesterday was a very sad day for all of us and many tears were shed, It was a wonderful visit with DD, Mason and Jonah! DD got lots of rest and relaxation and grandma and grandpa got in lots of fun, cuddles and kisses from there youngest grandson! We are missing our son and his beautiful family also. We did not get to have as long of a visit with them. They are a busy family and had to return to work darn it!! But our son is hopeful that next summer they will be living here on the Island and we will see them much more often!! :becky: I won't stay here to long this morning as it will be a busy day of cleaning and :washing: and getting the house back to normal again. The yard work has also been sadly neglected, but who wants to do that kind of stuff when there are grandkids to play with??

Chris - I hope that you are felling less scattered this afternoon and you get the things done that you need to! Nice of you to pop in to say good morning!!

Hope everyone has a great weekend, I will catch up with all of you over the next while and also get some of my photos organized and get scrapping again!!!

Yikes, where are we all? Must be out enjoying the weekend. My biggest "plan" is to figure out something to take as a side dish or dessert for an area-wide genealogy picnic tomorrow. Otherwise mostly the usual.

Have a good one! :high5:

Good late afternoon - Whew where did my morning go. Got up latish and then found a fun movie I got sucked into The Flying Scotsman. It is about a bike races from Scotland - not road races by velodrome bike racing but it was fun as one of the first challenges he took up is the how far you can ride in one hour. The record is now the rage again in cycling so it was fun to see how is was done in the early 1990s. I recognized the names and the bicycle logos that are still around today so as I said that was fun. Then my girlfriend txt and we went for a walk. Gorgeous weather today. Yesterday I had my dermatology exam and had two small areas on my face that had to be scraped and frozen off but very small and not even noticeable today. Going out to dinner tonight with friends so that will be fun. Not much else going on.

Chris sorry today is muddled. Relax! Hope you got a lot of shopping done yesterday which is probably why you are muddled today.

Trudy welcome back. I can't wait to see the photos and your scrap pages.

Sharon I think that is so funny to hear people coming to dinner in their boat. I tried waterskiing when I was young and I can see why it would be addicting to the young. Good exercise too! Enjoy the picnic.

Jean enjoy your picnic. It must be fun to be able to talk to all the others about genealogy.

Have a great day all!

I'm late joining the party. Just home from the picnic. It was good (I'm NOT a party person, so can't say it was great...just not as awful as I anticipated???). Very good to see some people we hadn't seen in quite a long time. I found a small group of gals to visit with during the meal. The weather cooperated...overcast and warm, but not hot.

Chris, hope your brain settled down and you were able to cope with the day.

Trudy, great to see you back. Good to have some physical activities to keep your mind from settling into sadness.

Hope you got your side dish figured out Jean. I have trouble with that sort of thing too. Lately I've just been bringing potato salad because everyone keeps asking me to!

Nancy, that movie sounds fun. I will ask Dave to look it up on Netflix. Sounds like one we'd both enjoy.

Mocha time...then a golf nap?

Good morning - It is another beautiful day in NJ. Sky is blue so you can tell not much humidity. Good day for another walk. Got some scrapping done. Had an awesome time at dinner. Both our friends are getting ready to retire next summer. She has already agreed to do some traveling with me. Happy days as she too has never been out west to see any of the National Parks. She and her husband want to do the wine tours and Yosemite which sounds awesome to us. But of course on the one night we go out with friends our son called to see if we want to go with them. Too funny.

Sharon glad your picnic turned out better than expected.

Jean hope your picnic also turned out better than expected.

Have a great day all!

Let me see if I can be less scattered today than I was yesterday :D
So it is Sunday, and I think I am OK. Maybe. ha!!
Have to be better than yesterday. I was literally all over the place (in my house). I still have more *$@&* to do on my ever-expanding To-Do List but at least I am getting things written down, so that is a plus.

Trudy- welcome back with big hugs. I cannot imagine the tears on Friday. I hope that keeping busy yesterday helped the house not feel so quiet.
I am so excited to see all of your pictures and LOs. I bet you have a lot to scrap!!!

Hi Jean- I wish i was out doing something fun, but I am here wandering the rooms of my house, still trying to figure out what I am supposed to be accomplishing. LOL Did you figure out what you were going to bring to the picnic?

Nancy- are the skin issues benign? Hope so! How fun that movie must have been for you! It really feels more like Sept than August here. It is crazy!! I want to do a bit more yard work today, get me out of the house if nothing else.
I water-skied once, never again, I have no sense of balance.

Sharon- too funny about the party being good, not great. I used to love being social but not so much anymore, so I can relate. I used to bring macaroni salad to picnics- it was easy and cheap.
Cait made something recently that I thought would be a good potluck dessert...-- oh, now I remember--they were vegan but super yummy- coconut cream pie bites. The cream part was made with soaked cashews, and wow, they were delish!! If I ever get invited anywhere again, I will have her show me how to make them.

Hope that everyone had a nice day yesterday and a better one today!
