I don't know if any of you were here when I used to do garage sales and craft shows all of the time. And how I would :rant:about them? Yesterday was prime example why I would complain. I made $14.50. Just counting the 8-ish hours I put in yesterday alone, that comes to $1.81 an hour.

Today should be a much better day. (Right? It will be?) As Caitlyn said to me, I have $14 more than I had on Thursday. Be positive.
I have to be quick again this morning so I am going to post this, grab more :cof3: and do personals. xoxo

good morning - the day is to be rain free again! Yea but so far not as sunny! Yesterday was my yearly physical and everything is in normal range but I could lose weight and that I could especially after the cruise LOL. So that made me happy. But then I needed the booster shot for pneumonia and OMgosh I have never had a vaccine cause my arm to hurt the way this one has. I could not sleep as every time I moved my arm it woke me up. Then I was cold and then I was hot I am still tired. My arm still hurts! My DH is also sick and poor Luther is having to wait for his walk. I am working still on uploading.

Chris I guess you have to look at it as you have $14. Good luck today. I think Saturdays are always better than Fridays for garage sales. At least you are spending time with your friend and outside!

Rae so sending prayers and hugs for the meeting for B. I am glad you got funding and hope it works. Glad to see that their are those that are pulling for B. I love my Sony mirrorless camera. I had been following the reviews and as soon as it was out I went and tried it and it came with 3 lens. Boy though Sony has made some tremendous advances in the new cameras and lens. I did not read the fine print and thought that the 2x teleconverter was for one of my lens but it wasn't so I went to the store to see the lens and we got the new 100-400mM lens. Well it was awesome on the trip. My DH and I had to share it. And at times that was not pretty but we made it work as he carried it and it is heavy. My DH had been a Nikon fan like you and his Nikon died so he went Sony so we could share lens. But now Nikon has come out with their mirrorless cameras. WOW they look amazing and costly! So are you going with the new Nikon? And yes uploading is a pain. And I am still not getting much help from the others on the trip. Thanks for sharing photo of Taz he is a cutie!

Waving to all!

I've just read all the Daily Ooo's since Tuesday, sorry not to have been around. I've been dealing with a tooth infection and it got really nasty and my usual reaction is just to shut down. Things are getting better, but the tooth will have to go as it had its root canal 50+ years ago.

Chris, is the yard sale still on today? Hope so to augment that $14. Do remember the added benefit of some cleared space in the attic.

Nancy, loving hearing about your trip and all the great photos. I too would love a link to your Flickr if that's OK. Hard to believe it was so long ago I was there - 1982! We've always been so glad we took that trip, a birding tour.

Rae, loved the fun photo with B and sleepy Taz who looks so lovely. Sending all good thoughts to the hospital for a better treatment for B and continuation of the grant. Also to you and Jen for strength.

Felis, sorry you had problems, especially so many. Glad it sounds like the pets got better.

Nana Linda! How wonderful to see you here. Sending wishes for creativity in scrapping to come to you.

Hi to everyone!

Oh man, I'm sorry it wasn't more than than! I admit I don't even have the patience to deal with garage sales, I just end up donating all my stuff I want to get rid of. BUT I agree, at least that's more room and more $ than you started with!

Nothing exciting here this weekend. Working on some new projects, cleaning around the house, same old same old!

Oh wow, am I exhausted!! I am really really happy that I told BFFATS that I was not planning on the sale today. I knew that my body was not going to be able to handle three days in a row. I am also going to give myself a pat on the back for recognizing that and sticking with it. Normally, I would be forcing myself to keep going so that's a darn big step for me.

Two days of work and I made $53.50 Like I said yesterday, it is money that I didn't have a day before. But the important part is that I also got rid of three garbage bags of junk and am donating another bag of clothes. The weather turning out beautiful both days and it was nice spending time with my friend and her daughter. Her DD is the same age, as Caitlyn- literally 10 days apart :) They moved in across the street when the girls were 19 months old and were best friends until middle school. They are still friends even though they don't hang out together. But there is that bond, always. She called me Mama Chris for years- I was like her second mom so I love hearing about all of her adventures. She spent a semester in Italy, traveled around Europe, spent 10 days in Israel, and just got back from a College Internship Program at Disney.

Today I and trying to regroup. I have to do a few things around the house, like catch up on my laundry. I also need to get ready to go food shopping tomorrow. I have a ton of boxes left in the car to go back in the attic (BTW- that was such a smart move even though I got teased about it in the beginning)

I am sorry that I never made it back for personals but I am going to catch up on that now.

Yesterday:
Nancy- it was sunny but a bit overcast too and I was happy for no rain. It looked like it might at one point but didn't. Are you ready for the heat this week? We are forecast for 92* on Tuesday so I know that you will be hotter than us.
Is your arm any better today? I had a bad reaction to a tetanus booster like that and my arm swelled up. I am not allowed to get that booster unless I need it. I haven't gotten a pneumonia vax yet but now that I am over 50 I guess I will need to talk to my Lyme Dr to see what she thinks.

Jean- that sounds like the tooth infection was very painful. I hope that it continues to improve!

Amanda- I used to do a lot of garage sales especially when the kids were young. That was how I bribed them to get rid of their toys. My town isn't a good town to sell in and I would go down to my parents' hose. We always did much better there.
I saw your new kit on FB and I loved those greens!

Friday:
(I should have done Friday's first then yesterday LOL )

Nancy- Oh no, sorry that DH is sick. *fingers crossed that you don't get it*
and YES!!! Friday, I ran home to grab lunch and I check the bank info and she should have the money in her account on Tuesday. Whew! That was cutting it close!

Rae- is this the first time D went skydiving? There is NO way I could ever do that.
Hope that you and Taz were able to get some walking in. I hope Cait and I can get out with W today.
OMG!!!!! What is wrong with that hospital!? How awful to be in this situation and then to have them make it worse. You have every good thought that I can muster. My heart just breaks for all of you. :(
Please let me know if you need any help with stuff here.
What a sweet photo of Taz! I am happy to hear that you are enjoying the new camera so much.

Felis- Thank good news the fur babies are ok! It stinks that you had more vet expenses but at least they are better. I hope that your dad's hand heals quickly. And on top of that- your poor phone! What a week! here is to a much easier one ahead!

Good am - finally my arm is much better. Yesterday was the pits but I am good now. My photos are all uploaded and they are public and I am nancyr5213 so if you want to see them have fun. All are just out of the camera so are too dark or too light but luckily I can play with them as I make pages. There are over a thousand but in Alaska it is just hard not to take photos. Today is another great day sunny but more humid as it is summer.

Chris well good for you! Glad you made some money. And the donations will be helpful to others so that has to feel good! Glad that Cait has gotten the finances worked out because that can be so stressful!

Jean I am so sorry about the tooth. That is just the pits! I want my teeth to last but I hate going to the dentist LOL. I hope the pain is gone. And please let me know if you cant find my photos on Flickr.

Have a great day all!

Today has been pretty quiet but warming up. Facial swelling is nearly gone so hopefully the infection is under control.

Amanda, same old, same old, is my usual life I think, but not necessarily a bad thing.

Chris, so sorry you are worn out, but it was an interesting time. Also sorry boxes will go back into the attic, but you did get a little money from it and time with your friend and her DD. Hooray C's money should be in place.

Nancy, thanks for the ID for Flickr. I've scrolled through a portion of them and really enjoy them. Of course liking the birds, magpie, ptarmigan and swans in particular. Don't know how you're going to trim it down for the album! Sorry the arm was sore but at least it's better now. Oh, also loved seeing all those food shots.

Good morning girls,
I was up unusually early, because the room become to cold and I had to go to close the window. Once after I'm awake it's not worth it to try to fall asleep again, so decided to do something. Scraping is not cool anymore after become 'fairly' to everyone, but wroted in only one language. It looks like more as a morning struggling. So I preferred finally to finished the book I've reading. Sunday morning was extremely hot, so big part of the day was just nap (at the same reasons which I mentioned in previous line ;) ) and then in the afternoon short rain save us and we was able to go out.
On our walks I start to saw more fall leaves and even the forecast to promise that September will be very hot, the Autumn slowly prepare to come.

Things that will miss me from the summer:
1.The evening spent outside. When the music is turned very quiet and the singer's alluring voice urge you to kiss him ''under the moon'', in combination with the loud serenade of the crickets in your grass. So realistic and kind of magical. 2.The smells of the flowers. Which the light night breeze brings in thru the opened windows.
And things that definitely wouldn't:
1.Everything which refers to to the combination of hot temperatures and disgusting human body, figuratively called 'daily beauty procedures'. 2.The almost absolute impossibility to stay outside at the day time.

Chris, I can't hide that I'm small confused from most of your comments in these your posts. Looks like that $15 dollars are not good daily income (at least I get this from your emoji and the comments of others). Sorry for your disappointment! I know how hard you worked to prepare the sale, and great that the second day was more successful! And here is from where come my confusion, I specially check to be sure that I'm not wrong for the prices, but $15 are new book or 20 lb. Bag Dry Dog Food?! So it's sounds me very cool for things that you called junk. And it sounds like you are had lovely time with your friend and her daughter, and probably all the buyers or just visitors around. Something that probably wouldn't to happen in regular weekend.

Amanda, the daily routine is actually something good for me, I call it comfort zone :) .

Nancy, I'm happy your arm is better today and hope your husband is feeling well too! I just LOVE your photos! Need to spend more time watching them. My favorites are these with the bear cub and one bird (Corvidae maybe, I'm not sure how is on english) which is jump on your car, so fun!!!

Jean, oh, so bad about the infection, get well soon! Don't worry about the weekly page! We will finish them when they scraping mojo is better! Eventually! Or I just will have to force myself in the end of the year  .

Oh I'm impatient to hear (hopefully good) update from Rae!

Enjoying the last days of the Summer, ladies! :yo:
