It's the weekend! Who is excited about that?
I think I am... maybe once my brain wakes up a little more, I'll be more certain. That is *if* my brain wakes up more. For some reason, I woke up around 4 am and ended up getting out of bed a little after 5. I am quite groggy. More coffee, please.

Crazy busy day again yesterday and I tried to get everything on my list done. It didn't happen. I had to go outside and work in the yard to clear my mind in the afternoon. The other stuff can wait.
I redid the invite and got that version cleared with Caitlyn. Sent it out and now just waiting on the RSVPs, which isn't a concern since we only invited people who had to be there and then Tom's sisters and their families families and Dani's mom/my best friend across the street. Dani is only going to be in NJ Thurs-Sat and if it were me, I would not want to lose a second of time with my DD.
I spent an hour or so looking for some more pictures for Caitlyn which made me text a ton of them to my BFF. I had texted to see how her DS was doing- he was home this week from DC- and the photo I saw right after that, was of him in the hospital after he was born. That led to a bunch more texts of our girls together and one of all of the cousins on the sofa as babies. My heart! :lovey3:

I was in the middle of yoga when Scott called to see if he could stop in on his break. There was a mess up of work vehicles so he was using his car and was able to stay up-county all day. He had lunch here and then came back for dinner. I love it when the 4 of us are at the table. Again- my heart ♥

Today I am running to the FP and all fingers and toes are crossed that they have canned dog food. I am down to my two cans. Coffee and eggs would be awe-some as well. Caitlyn, Sam and Jen (honorary bridesmaids), and I are doing a walk-through of the wedding venue this afternoon. We want to get a good look at the setup so we can "recreate" it here for the rehearsal. (Did I tell you that the venue is booked the night before so we are doing that here? It's gonna be *fine*. )

I'm so excited!

BTW--You all will be proud of me. I am proud of me. Tom's mom messaged me when she RSVP'd and asked if there was anything she could do to help. And I said yes!! I was going to make vegan brownies/dessert but asked her if she could do that.
*pats self on the back*
(Only took me 56 years... :p)

@vickyday Yes, three weeks until the big day! 20 days to be specific. Last night I said something at dinner about how his time next month, we're going to be having dinner and she'll be *married.* How long does that part take to get used to? I know it going to be a little unusual since they are living at home but it's got to be a mental adjustment.
Hehe-- see, I am good for something, I am getting everyone to self-clean their ovens :giggle4:
Great idea to go on the bike! I bet that was the longest you have been out for most of this silly hot summer.

@BrightEyes Love the cooler morning temps and open windows for you! That's a bummer about the curled photos. Can you scan and print them if they don't uncurl enough?
You have been getting so much done but I am relieved that you are taking a break this weekend. It will all be there for you next week

@bcgal00 You must have so much on your mind it is no wonder you missed the hair appt.
Is Remi's stomach problem from when she was sick (ate something? Sorry I cannot remember what happened but I think you had to bring her to the ER vet last month)-- right?) or it is from the meds she is on for her knee? Poor baby girl. You must be exhausted having to be up with her and not just opening the door to let her out. It's a 1-2 punch-- GI and knee.
I hope things settle down soon!

@AK_Tracy I think that we clean at all-- regardless of "squirrel" -- is a plus LOL!
Adult kids, man-- 100% harder than toddlers. Thank you for the support :)
I know I read more than 10 books a year, not as much as I used to but probably over 25/year. I miss the days when I could run through a book a week.

@JeanneMN
I'm still trying to get caught up with you from yesterday. I seem to remember someone who looked a lot like you telling me not to stress. Hmmmmmmmmmm
BWUAHAHAHA!!!
I did warn you all when you got here that it's always "do as I say, not as I do." Or Pot (me) calling the kettle black (all of you). Take your pick of goofy sayings. :lol23:
We are going to have to find a way to sneak some champagne into the Bridal Area-- the venue said we can't but we can buy it from them ($$$$$) Can you put champagne in stainless steel water bottles? :D
I promise that I will still look like me after the makeup is done. Chances are I will end up wiping some of it off, either on purpose or not. Most likely-- by accident.
Your dentist sounds amazing! I'm sorry that you had to cash out some of your life insurance but it is going to be so worth it when you are done.
Hugs to you and your DH for the family crud. you have to deal with.

@Terri M Enjoy the fresh air while you can. I think we are supposed to get hot and humid next week too.
The timing of the covid/flu shots is a PITB this year. I'm paranoid that I will get sick before the wedding but if the shots aren't available until early Sept, I don't want to have a reaction when I need to be getting s*** done. (I got bad side effects every time I got the vax'd) And if it still takes 2 weeks to "activate," that doesn't give me any real time to be boosted so no point in risking it. I'll go after the wedding.
Anyway, that was a long way of saying good for you for getting that done and good luck for no reactions when you do. LOL
Woo-hoo for getting some meal planning done! What meals are you making since I am always looking for inspiration?

Hugs!

Good Morning!
Self-cleaning oven is set.
Dishes are put away.
Mark's laundry is started.
Bed is made.
Time to play!
Yesterday Mark and I ended going in the afternoon to look for a new screen door for the kitchen. That is the door we always use from the carport. We went to Habitat for Humanity first but ended up at Home Depot. $144 later (I didn't think that was too bad) we were headed home. 4 hours later the door was hung! The old door wouldn't even close any more and the screen was a total mess of holes! This door is so easy to open and close now and actually forms a suction causing us to make sure we shut the inside door all the way! YAY!
Found dog doo in the floor this morning! Yesterday Asher had peed on the rug by the kitchen door! Old age??? He turned 13 this year. I picked him up to make him go outside before bed last night and he bit me! If this keeps up, we may have to send him to doggy heaven earlier than expected, LOL! JK! I could never do that, but I can't handle him peeing and pooping in the house!
Before my dearly departed hubby and I moved here to NC in 2008, our chow was going to have to be put down. I couldn't do it. The Thursday before we moved down here on Saturday she passed away. I was so sad, but glad at the same time! Chows are VERY aggressive and one-family dogs. And our Taffy (we called her that because of her orangey taffy color) usually only liked the person who fed her, which was our daughter, the animal lover. And sometimes she didn't even like Elisabeth! When we first moved to WV into the parsonage there, Taffy broke her chain and chased down one of the kids of the church that had come to play with Elisabeth! We had to get a bigger chain! Elisabeth was planning on taking her with her when she got married, but her husband said, NO WAY! Taffy wouldn't even let Brad near Elisabeth is she was around, LOL!
So, there's my stories for the day, LOL!
Later on today Mark will be going to help his daughter clear some land for moving her out buildings. I'll stay here. There's nothing I can do to help anyway.
I need to order more Inulin and B12 today from Amazon. I'm about out of both! I should have ordered it earlier this week! I did order some Bath and Body hand pump soaps they had on sale this week. I also ordered a couple of their bar soaps. The pump soaps are normally $7.95. I got them for $2.95. The bar soaps are normally $8.95. I got them for $2.95 also! CHA CHING! I could not believe how everything was jumbled in the box, however, that they were delivered in! And the bubble packing was not even bubbled, just thrown in haphazardly on top! Two of the pump tops were broken and soap was leaking out! I was aggravated and contacted them. The good news is they are going to replace them and I can keep the broken ones! I will be able to use the ones I have after the new ones are empty! I'll just pour the contents of the broken bottles into the new replacements!
OK, time to get dressed, finish my coffee and work on my daily ATCs that I never did do yesterday. Mark and I had a great bike ride instead! ;). Beautiful weather! Looks to be the same today, but it is getting warmer as the days go by. We are supposed to be in the 90s again next week! YUCK!
Have a great weekend!

@vickyday So sorry your dog is having issues..its so hard when they have health issues. Double deal for the soaps!!!
We are going to the Lynard Skynyrd Monument today...this will be sad but interesting, that plane crash was 47 years ago...wow time flies. Then tomorrow back on the road crossing into Florida. We will be home this time next weekend...happy but sad that our trip is over.
@mimes1 I hope you are feeling better and I sure hope Mark doesn't get Covid too.

Yes, I'm not an animal lover, but I don't want to see them abused, either! Even so, when he passes I'll miss him.
You've had a memorable trip, for sure! I know you will be glad to be back in your own bed!

Morning, all. Another cool and beautiful morning. We had rain late yesterday afternoon and again sometime early today (rain puddles on the patio when I got up). Getting the monsoon rains back again.. hooray!!!

@faerywings Thanks for the reminder that the Covid vaccine is now available. Just got my appointment set up for next Wednesday morning. I could have got both Covid and Flu shots at the same time... but elected to get them at different times. I had a mild reaction to Covid shot last time and also a mild one to the flu shot (taken at different times) so decided to not take a chance and do them separately again. I think you are wise to wait until after the wedding to get your shot.

I think I have come up with a solution to the curled photos.... I used an iron (set on low temp - no steam - with a Teflon cover plate) and slowly pressed the backside of the curled area while gently lifting the photo toward the curled area. I did 2 of them. Then put photo corners on each corner plus added 2 double-sided mounting squares on the underside close to edge along the long side top and 2 of them near the bottom edge. Put them in the photo sleeve holder. Checked them this morning and they are still laying flat!!! Decided to only do 2 photos at a time - and put them in place right away. But before I do any more... I should go ahead and scan them into the computer... just in case. And I realized that I need to print out 3-4 same sized (5X7) of the bride and her bridesmaids. At least sitting at the office desk and scanning photos is easy on the back!! :spinningchair:

Just put a load of laundry on :laundry: and once it is washed will jump in the :showering:and get dressed. Then it is time to work on CT LO or two. HAGD

Good morning ladies. I finally got some sleep last night. The vet gave me another probiotic to give along with the other one so I think the two are starting to help. She still is only passing liquid but it’s not as often now, the urgency is quieting down which is the first step in recovery. The knee continues to heal so we’ll continue on this way now for a month until we go on the cruise, crate and dog pen off and on during the day and no stairs, furniture, car or jumping up to play. Last night her and Taz kept trying to get up on two legs and wrestle which I had to stop so Taz kept giving me the stink eye lol. I’ll be home all weekend trying to rest and putter around the house, maybe do some meal planning.

time to get remi outside. Hagd everyone

Good Morning Everyone, I finally slept through the night with this covid business. 6 whole hours in one shot, then two more kind of in and out. But what an improvement. No fever today, day 3 of paxlovid, and feeling so much better than even last night.

Mark took Reesie, our 2 year old pup to the vet this morning. He had a swelling in his groin. Guess what. It's FAT!! :giggle4: I'm thankful it's not anything serious, but it makes me laugh. He was 92# last time he was at the vet. Today's weigh in was 106# !!!!:wow2:

Todays job is to scan a bunch of photos for my neices wedding. Mark will help so it shouldn't take too long, then we'll email them in small batches to her. I've learned though that compressing the photos is not favorable to the end result, so hopefull it won't take forever to email them. I should ask her if she has dropbox.

As I've been sitting here there is a squirrel friend sitting on my second story window sill looking at me. Cute enough, but, this is NOT good.

I sat in on my Alzheimers meeting that I used to go to all the time when mom was alive. I try to make it most months now that mom's gone, hopeful to give an encouraging word to those who need it, now that I'm looking at it from the other side. It felt good to be there.

Oh, and my wonderful AM coffee is not joyful right now, thank you Covid. It takes like hot water. No flavor at all. And even worse cold. Yuck and bummer.
So, there's my stories for the day, LOL!
You have quite a few dog stories!! I hope your dog is ok.

There's nothing I can do to help anyway.
Sounds like an opportunity to spend the afternoon scrapping!
wow time flies.
Sure does! You just left a few weeks ago on your trip! How is it the end of summer already. And 47 years since Lynard Skynyrd died? That's not possible!
I hope you are feeling better and I sure hope Mark doesn't get Covid too.
So far so good -

Good JOB!!!! So proud of you!!!! That is so awesome!!!! Bet the weight lifted was amazing.

This sounds like amazon and how they pack my stuff. I ordered glass canisters and cast iron skillet. They put them in the same box with no padding. Needless to say they had to replace the glass canisters.

We will be home this time next weekend...happy but sad that our trip is over.
I bet youre looking forward to being home but yeah, sad the trip is over. End of trips are hard.

Morning, all. Another cool and beautiful morning.
I bet you enjoyed the cool morning. And the windows were open? We went from "cool" to coooooool mornings. Dropping down to 40, a couple days in the high 30's but thankfully were still getting up to 60 so its nice. For sure fall.

YEAH! I'm so glad you got some sleep and the new probiotic is working. Its funny (not really) how dogs can give that look like a toddler :giggle4: But Mom you said to play nice and we are, yet you know they're being naughty LOL

Todays another day at work. Need more coffee and then gotta get ready for the day.

Im :floorlaugh::floorlaugh: that's too funny. Thankful its nothing but overweight. Our shih-tzu was fat. We called her pig, she still is as if you drop a crumb she is first to get there. She acts like we never feed her. Her weight is supposed to be 10-12lbs as she's a bigger (genetically) shih-tzu but she was 15 when we went to the vet. We trimmed her down and now she's 12 like a good girl but man if the big dogs done eat all their food she is on it before you can say no.

Just saying :wavinghello:

I've been busy all day with Adrienne and am getting ready to go to Ava's for the rest of the evening. We're painting the inside of the dog house (the Hyatt Regency of dog houses) and we're going to paint paw prints on one wall. It's really big, has windows and even AC. Ava and Drake have 3 big dogs and they need to get them out of the house - so Roger commandeered building this giant "dog house". It's in the final stages of being finished. Drake is having friends over to play cards, so Ava and I will be out in the doghouse. :floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

Hopefully, I'll have pics to post after this evening. I know Ava has been documenting the progress.

Just didn't want you to think I'd disappeared off the face of the earth.

Beautiful day, but yes, inching up towards hot again. I'll have to turn the AC back on tomorrow for sure.
For sure fall
We are still 2 months away from fall, so I just shake my head at your weather reports. I'm OK with it, I live in the south for a reason, but just can't imagine thinking "fall" when it's still August.
It's really big, has windows and even AC.
Wow. Are the dogs getting trained on how to nudge the thermostat?
No fever today, day 3 of paxlovid, and feeling so much better than even last night.
I'm so glad to hear you're having good response to Paxlovid. When my husband got covid, his doctor told him to take raw honey and cough syrup. I was like, "Look at all these articles! You're an old man! You need Paxlovid!!" but he's not one to push back. When I get covid (hasn't happened yet, so knock on wood!) I'm demanding Paxlovid.
What meals are you making since I am always looking for inspiration?
I have a couple good ones to share from this week. Trying to cut back on meat so this summer dish was delish: One-pot Orzo with Tomatoes, Corn and Zucchini although I used frozen corn rather than cutting it off a cob.
And tonight I did this filling for tacos in my crock pot and I loved it: Slow Cooker Chipotle-Honey Chicken Tacos
I hope those recipe links work.

Can you put champagne in stainless steel water bottles? :D
Steel water bottles will kill the bubbles I think, water bottles usually say not carbonated beverages. I'm sure you are going to be taking bags of things, put bottles of champagne in the bottom, the venue people shouldn't be in where you're getting hair and makeup done or getting dressed. Just don't be too excited to see them later :giggle4: and take the bottles with you when you leave.
Yes, it was much better than painting the inside of a doghouse when it's still 80 degrees!!! It didn't take much convincing on my part. We also had chicken and cheese quesadillas that I had bought earlier today. They really tasted good.
I would take that over painting in 80 degrees any day even if it's the Taj Mahal. I love chicken and cheese quesadillas.

I seem to have fallen under the spell of the O or maybe it's hanging around with all of you, but I started a layout yesterday morning and at 1:30 found myself with a finished layout and I was still in my jammies and bathrobe. Truth be told it's not unusual for me to be in bathrobe and jammies all day, but it's usually in the winter. There was a heat advisory yesterday and again today and tomorrow so hubs mowed the lawn early in the morning and then we stayed inside the rest of the day. He was watching Andy Griffith, and I was 'playing' on my computer. When I'm in the same room he doesn't get as cranky about the amount of time I spend on it. Yesterday, he looked over my shoulder and said, "WHAT exactly are you doing?" and no it wasn't because he wanted to learn how. Actually, I was doing the Free for All challenge, which didn't even wiggle the needle on my comfort zone meter when I first saw it, but I was drooling over the papers in Wendy's August Color Play and I decided to take a leap of faith. I said I was doing a challenge with torn paper. His reply "Why that?" There were a couple more questions along that line and being smart enough not to poke the bear, instead of saying, "Because I WANT to" I just said, "Because I'm supposed to" which was kinda sorta true, I just didn't mention I'd already done one this month." I'm not sure he was impressed.:floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh: Free for all is not exactly in his repertoire. He has background in designing houses, built them for years, and precise is the only way he sees things :rotfl::rotfl:I always tell people he's concrete sequential and I'm about as abstract random as they come.

First day of the Minnesota State Fair set a new attendance record by 5,000 people, there were 179,000 people there. That's exactly 178, 996 more people than I want to be around. The grands were there, but getting there and parking is a nightmare, everything is expensive, it just doesn't trip our fun meter anymore.

No plans for today, other than maybe to get dressed, I know, I have to plan to get dressed....may plan list and do do list don't always jive so well. This is the time of year when I kind of lose interest in the garden too, the magic hour is pretty much gone other than the Beard Tongue and sedum that blooms in the fall, usually about the time hubs want to clean up the garden. I had some purple mums that usually got cut off when they barely started blooming because he was "cleaning up the garden". I finally dug them up and gave them to our neighbor and she planted them on the side of her house that faces my kitchen window, so I actually get to enjoy them now.

I'm babbling, need more coffee, hubs is still sleeping, I woke up at 5.

Hiiii! *waves at everyone*
My brain is still acting a little sticky. I couldn't remember where the exclamation point was located on my keyboard for a second. Which is bonkers because I don't think I can type a post *without* using an excessive amount of !!!

How is everyone's weekend so far? Yesterday was jam-packed here but all (mostly) in good ways. It's never a good thing to go to the FP but I was super excited to get dog food and plant-based meat so I'll put that in the Mostly Good Column. I also found Bride and Groom Champagne glasses on one of the Free Tables. The ribbons were a little messy but I'm sure Cait can fix them up. She didn't want to spend money on a set so free was perfect!

I cannot say enough times how much I love Sam and Jen. (It kills me that Scott dated Jen in HS for a year and he and Sam have been living together for a year and they are all best friends.:lol23: ) Jen and I always got along great when they were in HS and it still cracks me up that she still always calls me mom or momma.
Those girls are going to keep my girl steady the entire wedding day. They had notebooks and questions and took photos of every last inch of space of the venue. We got back and recreated the table setting so we could see how they would look with her table runners and bud vases. I had to use a bedsheet as the tablecloth and used TV trays to build out the table to the right length but it worked. I know they worked on getting the favors put together after I went to bed so there isn't much left to do that will be super time-consuming. They also put together the arch that will be used as the altar and tried different ways of draping the fabric and flowers. Also taking photos every step of the way.

Gary has been working on getting the upstairs cleaned as best he can. The media room (his office area) was a disaster but he has been going nonstop to get it nice when Tom's family comes here for the rehearsal. He wants to make sure it looks perfect when they see where Tom is now living.

Yay, we are getting there!

Today I think I am going to work in the backyard since that is where we will set up the "altar" for the rehearsal. I started the grocery order and I think I need to do something with my nails too. That will be *after* I do yard work LD

Have a fab day!

Drat! My brain is more than a little sticky, I think it is locked up. :thud:
I had thought of something important I needed to do and by the time I found a piece of paper to write it down, I have no clue at all what it was.

Hmmmmph! :/

Oh, I have to get into Weis before the end of the month to submit my time sheet.
That wasn't what I needed to do but I did think of it as I was rummaging around in my brain, looking for loose threads.

Good Morning!
Self-cleaning oven is set.
Dishes are put away.
Mark's laundry is started.
Bed is made.
Time to play!
You did good!
I hope that Asher is doing better. Accidents in the house were one of the things that pushed us over when we made the decision for Harley. It broke my heart horribly to see that. BFF and I were talking about that the other day-- how that is one of the hardest decisions to make and we wish we knew when the time was right.
B&BB has the best sales, Caitlyn got a boxload of stuff the other day for around $20. Glad they are replacing the broken items.

@BoatLady I bet your bed is going to feel *amazing* when you get home.

@BrightEyes Good job getting the vax appt done. It's funny/odd/disorienting to think back to 2021 and remember how hard it was to get an appt for the vaxes. I remember logging into CVS a million times a day to see if any slots had opened up, I was on FB groups that would share when they did. Crazy times. :nod1:
That's a process for sure about the curled photos but the end result will be worth it.

@bcgal00 Lots more settled tummy thoughts for Remi and sleepy thoughts for you~~~~
That's hard trying to keep her and Taz from playing with each other. W and J wanted to do the "run around the stairs" a million times when J was not gated in the LR and they were annoyed when I made them stop.
(But how do you keep a straight face when Taz gives you the stink eye? I would be struggling to not LMBO. He is so adorable!)

Good Morning Everyone, I finally slept through the night with this covid business. 6 whole hours in one shot, then two more kind of in and out. But what an improvement. No fever today, day 3 of paxlovid, and feeling so much better than even last night.
So glad to hear that! Will you be able to go back to work tomorrow?
LOL at the vet appt-- poor boy is a chonker :D Jaida is a little chunky and we have to be careful due to her 2 bionic knees. Gary has gotten better about not feeding her human food at least. Jaida steals Whisky's dish and carries it to her spot to finish it off-- as if we aren't going to notice 2 bowls in the one area LOL
I sat in on my Alzheimers meeting that I used to go to all the time when mom was alive. I try to make it most months now that mom's gone, hopeful to give an encouraging word to those who need it, now that I'm looking at it from the other side. It felt good to be there.
That has to be really helpful to those who are in it. :hug3:

@AK_Tracy awwwww-- you call your baby "pig??"
*whispers to Pig* Don't listen to your mom, you are perfect the way you are.
:giggle4:
Good for you! But, I am the same way! I have a hard time letting someone else help!

You are good for a LOT of things!
Thank you and thank you! ♥

You girls are too funny! I cannot wait to see the pics!
Yeah, I am with Terri-- are they going to be able to nudge the thermostat? *G*
The links are awesome! Thank you! Caitlyn won't eat zucchini but she can pick it out. Or I can make it with roasted eggplant.
The tacos might work with jackfruit instead of the chicken for Cait and Tom and Gary and I can eat them as written.
TFS!

:rotfl:
I'm wondering if I made mimosas in the plastic-capped style OJ bottle, as long as they are super pressurized, that might work. I could pour the mimosas into paper coffee cups with lids...
Free for all is not exactly in his repertoire. He has background in designing houses, built them for years, and precise is the only way he sees things :rotfl::rotfl:I always tell people he's concrete sequential and I'm about as abstract random as they come.
hahahaha!!! I know what ya mean...

Love and hugs!

Morning, gals. Up and dressed already. Yesterday afternoon I spent an hour scanning in the curled photos... just to be on the safe side in case I damage any of them trying to iron out the curl. Did a trail run at printing out a couple of other photos I want for the album... and the printer ran out of ink!! No problem I said to myself as I struggled to open the new package of inks that I bought last month. To my surprise the bottle wouldn't fit onto the opening in the Econ Tank. Re-looked at the package... and it was the wrong one for my printer...YIKES!!!! All is not lost.. called DD#3 and she has an Econtank printer that the ink refills can be used on! At almost $50 for a set of inks, I would have been upset if they could not be used by someone in the family. So, I will be heading to get the correct ink refills for mine either today or tomorrow. Can't gripe at the price of inks as I bought the printer 2 years ago and this will be the first refill since then. :spinningchair:

Yesterday was a really productive day CT-wise. I got 3 Color Play LOs done... dance4 :dancing6::spinningchair: and another LO for September challenge. Had a scare with it... I had found the photos I wanted to use on the LO and had them saved along with the journaling waiting to find the collection I wanted to use with them. I was checking it out color wise with some collections in the shop. Closed it up and it disappeared... and I couldn't find it anywhere! Then the brain whispered..."if it is not in the scrapping folders... it must be in the Trash"... Yep! Somehow it got trashed!!! I was able to restore it back to the right folder. Whew!!!

Add grapes they are supposed to keep this fizz going because of something on the outside of the grape. I'd do a test first..that would be a fun afternoon!!!! Make them in the morning have friends over for lunch and sample your experiment.

@faerywings Our trailer has the same mattress as our house so it;s very comfortable...the bathroom is closer at home so that will be nice for my midnight relief but I love to wake up to the slider over looking the pond!!!
@JeanneMN - I agree way to many people at the fair!!!

WELL the Lynyrd Skynyrd monument was amazing. Etched black marble stones, pics on my FB page. We talked with the people who owned the property the plane crashed on. They told us about arriving on the scene and helping the injured. It crashed in a wooded swamp so rescue efforts were difficult. Bonus I got a geocache too!!!

Got to get going we are traveling today so need to get ready.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend everyone

@faerywings - like that you were able to mimic the reception table at home to check out how it will look. I was snickering over your plans to sneak some champagne into the reception. I can just see a bottle spewing bubbles and wine into the air as you tried to open one under the table!!! I like @BoatLady 's suggestion to do a trail run with mimosas at lunch with friends before the big day!!

Had to LOL over the brain fog and forgetting what you just thought of before you could get it written down. That is 'normal' for the time before the wedding. Glad you accepted the offer of help with food for the rehearsal dinner.

@Cherylndesigns WOW that is some kind of dog house... with A/C no less!! Can't believe all you gals get up to... even without Roger's help! And.. I always have to go back and read your posts with the "other twins" from the night before. They always have :floorlaugh:

@mimes1 So glad that the paxlovid, is helping, Sending healing thoughts your way.

Need another cup :coffeedrinker:and get another load of laundry done.

Good morning ladies. We had another night of decent sleep. I still don't feel back to normal but I'm getting there. Remi is doing well, is finally responding to the two probiotics she gets every day. I've never been so happy to see dog poop before LOL. She is feeling better and has that mischievous look in her eye again, the "can I do that? will I do that? what will you do" kind of look she gets when she is playing or messing with me. It's so good to see her responding so well. She loves me sleeping on the floor beside her pen and I'm ok with it, the foam mattress is comfortable enough. Taz is thrilled to sleep in the LR, either on my legs or in Darrell's chair.

I ordered probiotic supplements for both dogs, to start on Tues when the vet stuff is finished. I figure that is probably a good thing to always give. Also will be getting glucosamine/chondroitin for them. A friend said her vet recommended just getting it at Costco so will look into what their pricing is and then figuring out how much to give the dogs. I asked our vet and she said she can't recommend a "people" product. I'll have to do some research before deciding. Both dogs love the wet GI dog food so I think I'll keep giving them a bit every day to put their pills/powders into.

@faerywings What is the date of the wedding? Sounds like everything is coming together nicely. Can't wait for photos.

Started Apples Never Fall last night and we both are enjoying it. The PVR still has a few series to catch up on before the new season starts next month when the PVR will start filling up again. I will try to keep on top of it b/c I'll be PVRing everything for 3 wks while we are away so want to make sure it doesn't run out of space.

@mimes1 Glad you feeling somewhat better and got a better sleep. I am being more vigilant about hand sanitizing again, we leave in 4 wks for our trip so hopefully we stay healthy before and during. Sickness afterwards I can deal with but before that...no!!!

I need one more coffee before getting dressed and getting out for a gentle walk with Remi around the pathway system out back. It sure has been a lifesaver during this time of recovery. It's flat walking, big wide pathways that branch off into a few directions, lots of grass and trees and lots of dog bags and garbage bins.

HAGD ladies. BFN
