Happy weekend that feels no different than a weekday!

So what should we do for relaxing today? Neck stretches sound good since mine is almost always tight. Stretch slowly to the right, breathing in and out. Drop the neck to the front. Now to the left. Carefully, stretch to the back ignoring the sounds of crackling glass in mine LOL One more time around, nice and easy... And good!

If you have any suggestions or ideas for me to use here, feel free to share!

My food order was 85% successful. Milk, eggs, TP- all good to go. I got a large pack of TP- bigger than what I ordered so I am going to pass along some of the rolls to my parents next time I see them. But no half and half, cream, or pizza dough. Or burrito size tortillas but fajita size. Kids will have to make smaller breakfast wraps. Oh, just realized, no dishwasher detergent either. hmmm... so strange. Anyway.

Bat Appreciation Day and Vampire Night were fun! The movie of WWDITS is hysterical and the new episodes were as well. The style and humor have not changed at all over the years. kooky and utterly ridiculous.
The kids loved the cookies and Caitlyn made a "Blooderscotch" pudding pie too. She made us a drink of cherry and vanilla vodkas with black cherry seltzer and grenadine. Sweet but fun to sip.

Today I have to tidy the house and other than that, I have nothing to do. Scratch that. Stuff to do, no *motivation* to do.

Sound familiar?

Wishing everyone a happy and healthy day!

Trudy- how was your grocery run? I hope that your online shopping experience is easier than it is by me. Please send us some nice, warm sunshine. We could use it here. I hope that it doesn't snow in Ontario! :fear:
Sorry that your painting didn't dry well- it that from humidity/weather conditions? Happy that you like the second version better! You are such an amazing mom and grandma! I am sure that the package made everyone happy!
The virus is hitting nursing homes terribly- our mayor updated us that there were 14 deaths in the home located in our town. It is very smart to limit the homes that home health workers can visit now. You cannot be too careful.

Nancy- I watched a 10-minute clip of Cuomo's briefing yesterday. The hands, the mannerisms, the "accent" --NY-Italians-- ya can't beat 'em. :D
I hope that hockey in some form will be back in the fall, even if it is just players, no fans.
My kids had so many of the Disney Sing-a-Long Song videos, bet they would have laughed if they saw this one. I guess it was on Disney+?
Poor Luther, he doesn't have hip issues at all, does he? Have you used Dasaquin/Cosequin for him? J has been on Dasaquin since she had her knee surgery and it is supposed to really strengthen and rebuild the cartilage. Not sure if that would help him or not. Dasaquin is Rx, but I think you can get OTC versions online. (Obv talk to your vet, not me! heh)

JEAN- OH NO!!!!!!! please tell me that the snow is all gone today! 2020 is not playing nice at all.
Gary recommended WWDITS to his parents to watch but it is so totally over the top I don't know if they would enjoy it.
Do you have any new mixed-media projects that you are working on?

Sending big hugs to everyone! xoxo

Morning everyone! I hope that you are all having a nice Saturday morning! It is very cloudy this morning and we had a nice little rain last night. There are blue skies off in the horizon and it is supposed to be a lovely day. We will see. DH will be busy today washing the outside of the window and perhaps cutting the grass later, when the moisture is gone from the lawn. The work is all done next door and it looks very, very nice! No more dandelions to deal with, so cute to see their little girls helping to put the plants in and spread the mulch. Hope to hear from the grands at some point today. DH doesn't get to see them as much as I do, so its nice when they can call on the weekend. So not too much happening this weekend as grocery shopping has been all done and the only thing that I could not get were some napkins. We have a ton of paper towel so I am not concerned over that.

Chris - Glad that you had so much fun with the theme night and watching WWDITS, so nice to have something to do all together and share lots of laughs! DH and I started watching the new season of Ozark last night and got through 3 episodes before falling asleep LOL. I started watching the Elephant Documentary that Nancy had suggested yesterday afternoon, but I don't like watching to much TV by myself, it was very good but I am just too antsy to sit in front of the tv for too long LOL. So I will finish watching it another day. I have to say that my online grocery shopping doesn't sound any easier than what you are going through, but they keep adding more time slots, so I will continue to try to get on for next weekend. Problem is I can't figure out what I will need by then and you have to check out and pay for your groceries within the allowed time or you lose your spot :mmph: Oh well its not like I am not capable of going to the store.

Nancy - I have watched Cuomo's press conference and yes he is fun to listen to!! I hope that you will be able to see your hockey again soon, but I just don't see it happening for a while yet. Hope you continue to enjoy the Disney+ there are lots of great shows to watch that is for sure! DH and I are going to try to watch the Drain the Ocean WW2 documentary it looks really interesting. Hope that poor Luther is ok and he is not limping anymore. Perhaps he has something in his paw a thorn or something :noidea:

Jean - Uggh on the :smow: it is not fair!! It is supposed to be spring!! Good luck on your shopping adventure this weekend! I hope that the store is not too crowded and you can get everything that is needed! I was surprised when I went to the grocery store there was hardly anyone in the store! It was wonderful! I did not have to worry about getting too close to anyone and the only shelf that was empty was the where the dinner napkins should have been. I hope that your weather improves this weekend and you get to soak up some sunshine!

Ok its time to get DH some breakfast and get my morning chores done. Other than that not much else going on here, so maybe I will finally get my page finished off?? :noidea: Have a great Saturday everyone!

Gratitudes -
-My neck is less stiff now that Chris has helped me to loosen it up! Thanks Chris!
-My DH likes to wash the windows , I hate it!!
-The sun will come out later today and we can sit outside for a bit
-We continue to be COVID19 free here in our little part of the world

good late morning - my son's girlfriend had bananas that were so ripe her kids would not eat them so she gave them to my son - social distance wise of course - and this am my DH made more banana bread. OMgosh it is so good. And of course the smell is the best. Rain in the night and light rain now though it looks like the rain is letting up and the sky is getting brighter. No walk for Luther but his limp is better so he just needs to rest it. Not that he understands. I will go on and walk and feel bad as he will be left behind. Other than than very quiet day.

Chris yes I have things to do but feel no motivation to do them. I have been cooking but that is only because I am hungry. And if I am hungry then I know the boys are hungry too. Your dinner sounds so fun. I am going to check out that movie and series. That is crazy about what you got and did not get on the shopping list but good thing you have the other spot to see if you can get those items there. The sing a long was on ABC for everyone. Maybe you can find it onDemand. And Cuomo is an Italian for sure. As for Luther it is not his hips it is his front leg. I think he just strains to get to run and chase the birds. So I just need to let it rest. It is much better today. Thanks for the advice.

Trudy we did not get snow but upper NY state did. I hope your family in Ontario did not get too much. Every thing is so mixed up. Hope the grocery story shopping went well.

Jean glad the snow melted fast! Hope you are seeing some good spring birds. I cant wait to see more paintings.

Waving to all!

Snow lingered this morning but sunshine and slightly warmer temps have gotten rid of it. No plans for today so we'll see if I accomplish anything. Last night we found a program about the 1995 Cleveland Indians season. It was great nostalgia for the most exciting baseball season since we were kids.

Chris, always interesting to hear what you got and didn't in the grocery order. I am going to be needing a lot of basics including flour. Your theme night sounds wonderful. Let us know what gets picked for next week.

Trudy, nice your MG does the windows. Also things to keep him outside while you don't have to be helping and can maybe get things done inside. Hope you have lovely weather and can enjoy it. And the napkins seems an odd thing for the store to be out of. Curious.

Nancy, guess we could do some birding, but mostly just staying home and no recent migrants have been around the neighborhood. Just this morning I was thinking swallows and swifts should be showing up soon. Just can't imagine what the sports world will be the rest of this year and maybe next.

Wishing you all a safe and happy weekend.

Hello girls!
We colored the eggs today, and they turned excellent, I'll scrap that at some of the next days. The weather is lovely! Thank you for sending me sun! I'm not sure this is christian or pagan belief, but on holiday we shouldn't do any housework which is not related to the the holiday, so these are lovely lazy days! We sunbathing and read or listening music. Sunbathing such a cute word! We say 'bake', yes, bake cake or bake on sun LOL.
So the bad side, government is not sure how to handle the situation. Warm weather and the holiday encourage lots of people to give up the quarantine and start mass breaking of the rules. You should listening the news on every session, because now have some new changes on every hour. My both parents are angry, as mom will have to go back to work as a step of restarting our economy, but dad will not be able to go on work as the capital will be locked and very difficult to get in. Exactly what they both was scared! For man to not be able to earn is so stressful, especially now when the jobs of the other members of our family is lost or on pause. Both are so tired to listen the government, so they stopped! My mom was invited guests for Easter, and from this become a huge scandal as we aren't agree with her!
I watched the One World: Together At Home concert almost all night, thank you Jean for letting me know! HOZIER, sir Paul McCartney and few others my favorites was performing.
Soo sorry that not have personals but soon, I promise, we still celebrate so have to go.

Kiss and hugs! &

It is a pretty and sunny (but hellishly cold) Sunday morning!
I hope that everyone slept well and is feeling well.
I am not feeling "chatty" today. Not for any reason other than I got nuthin' *to* say. :p I didn't do much of anything yesterday. I cleaned the kitchen, vacuumed, talked to my mom.
I scrapped one more page for Christopher's birthday album. I think that makes a total of 11 pages out of 20 and his birthday is in 2 weeks. ugh.
MIL sent me a photo of a graduation banner and then some t-shirts for the kids. The T's say "Seniors: 2020 Class of the Quarantined" Totally bittersweet. I am happy they are graduating but what a sad way to end their college careers. I bet that as it gets closer to the actual date that they should have been walking in caps and gowns, I am going to get more disappointed and depressed. May is such a huge month for my family. Birthdays, anniversaries, 4 graduations. *sighs*
Oh well, nothing I can do.

So yup, today I have nothing going on really either. It is supposed to get a bit warmer this afternoon- mid-50s so maybe I will get outside for a bit or take the dogs for a walk.

Love to all!

After talking to my mom and my brother, I realized how crazy we are about food. Then my dad sent me this picture:

Trudy- I hope that your weather and day turned out to be as nice as you hoped. WEe had snow flurries. It must be so nice to enjoy the yard!
We watched the first two episodes of Ozark. I am surprised you made it through 3 in a row-- they are long and dense. Good for you! I am the same way, I can't watch TV by myself. The only time I ever could was when I was recovering from surgery and often I needed to be doing something else at the same time.
I am so happy that you are doing well with COVID cases. My town now has over 200 cases and 14 deaths :(

Nancy- banana bread is on my to-bake list for this week! Can't wait. So sweet of DS's GF to drop them off. Poor Luther, I hope he feels better and can go on some walks with you soon. I will have to look for the Disney show on ABC, thanks for letting me know!
What cracked me up the most about the Cuomo briefing was the "I wash my hands of you gesture." If I had a dime for every time I saw or did that one...

Jean- How fun to watch the show about the Indians, nice to bring a bit of baseball back..
I really will never understand how the food is shipped. Really strange how it goes from each week to the next. I hope the weather warms up and stays warm enough for you to get out and do some birding.

Felis- Happy Easter! How fun to make dye eggs. And then to sunbathe :)
I am really sad and worried about your country not listening to medical advice and orders. We have that here too. I bet you loved seeing the concert last night!
Enjoy your holiday today and talk to you soon!

good morning - I have been up since 6:30 but it has been good as I have accomplished a lot. My bedroom has not looked this straightened up in months. I am in the process of catching up on lots of laundry. I am getting in my exercise just going up and down stairs. My DH is at the grocery store getting food for Sunday dinner plus the essentials. That makes me happy. Yesterday was cold and no walk but today it should be in the 60s so I will get out. This weather is crazy and I just wish it would not go up and down. Finished up a good book so that was fun. I love reading about the west but this book took the characters to Washington DC. That was pretty fun.

Chris I love that photo of all the food. That is too funny! Have fun with making your banana bread. Hope you get out today. It really is pretty. Luther is getting much better so that is wonderful. I guess just like us muscles just need rest. Poor guy just does not understand. Hope you get yours out. How are the rats doing have not heard much lately.

Trudy enjoy the sun. I watched the Ozarks season 1 and start of season 2 and it is hard to watch as you are always on edge but the acting is great. I watched a Hallmark show last night that was filmed, I think near you, in Squamish BC. It was beautiful and now I need to really come out that way. I hope this stay in place ends soon.

Jean glad your snow has melted! How fun to watch that show on your Indians. It is good to bring back fun memories.

Felis how nice that you are having such beautiful weather for your Easter. I remember those days of sunbathing. It was so fun. Now I realize I probably should not have done that but OH the sun is so nice. It will be fun to see you colored eggs. And yes that show with all the performers was great.

Waving to all.
Grateful for the sun and my DH shopping.

Morning, gals. Didn't make it in here yesterday. DD#1 called to say she was bringing my laptop back. Keeping social distancing from her - 6' to 8' away - we had a nice long visit. So good to see her and talk for awhile. Sure did lift my spirits and put me in a good mood for the rest of the day. After she left, I went on-line to see what the grocery store I shop at had in the way of food. Turned out my rewards card was not registered... long story short - finally got it registered so I could look at what is available. Many items I wanted are not available for on-line ordering (no frozen items at all) but DD said that they were in the store. Won't need things for another week or so... so will wait until closer to time to decide what to do.

I did a bit of scrapping and the BP stayed steady so may be back to normal on that front by May! Sure hope so as I have missed doing that.

Chris... I was LOL over that photo... Yep, Italians love their cooking! Hope the weather warms up for you. Your 'doing nothing' is what I would call a full day of work!!! Of course with just me here... the house stays clean so not needing a lot of work to keep it that way.

Nancy, yesterday my sister posted photos of her banana bread she made using some frozen bananas from her freezer. That reminds me that I have a couple of bags of frozen banana in my freezer... and as i have enough flour, I may make some. Do you add nuts to your banana bread?? I love pecans in mine. What was the name of the book you were reading??? Sounds like a fun one.

I was looking back at some of my photos and guess that the crazy swings in weather is typical of March and April... with things blooming then snow then back to spring weather again. Still doing a seesaw for at least the next week... hoping it settles down in early May.

Waving to all the gals I didn't mention... hoping you are doing okay. Need to get my shower then do a couple of loads of laundry. CYL

OK, I'm back for the personal notes!
WOW, I'll have to see what you all are post at the gallery these days, sounds like lot of you are had creative mode!

Chris, yes I saw that at Texas you have similar proteste and mood against the quarantine. Oh, my how many food, looks like this is national sign indeed! And ITA about your disappointment that kids will not receive the remarkable graduation celebration! As people here said: "you can get married few times, but graduation is once at life" . So many wasted dreams and plans!

Trudy, hope you had your lovely day, and your hubby was able to talk with the kids! How funny about you're not able to watching TV alone! When I worked (as I work from home) and had to spend lots of hours sitting I was watching TV so many hours. I think this is the only thing that is changed now.

Nancy, oh, poor Luther! Hate to hear he still limp! Sounds as a time for yard rounds only. Hope he gets better fast! Haha, you have so familiar 'exciting' weekend exercises :washing: :tea: .

Jean, hope you was able to make from your calm day something pleasant! Maybe reading or painting!

Kay, hope the items you want to be available till moment you need them! Yes, the weather is so mutable, if we hadn't so much free time now, the clothes cabinets would be such a mess! We jump from jacket to t-shirt in hours.
