:whoo: Spring is finally here!! (At least for yesterday and today, tomorrow will chilly again) But I reveled in the weather yesterday. I wish that it had been sunny but the temps were perfect! I spent about 2 hours yesterday uncovering my lilies and irises from inches of wet leaves. The poor things are more yellow than green but that should change quickly. after Cait got home from classes, we took J and W to the dog park for an hour. They had a lot of fun running around and peeing on everything. At one point, another dog was up in W'sface a bit and she was under the bench by me. She snapped a bit to say backoff, the other dog did (eventually- felt like forever to me) and then came out and ran around a bit more. She seems to be getting more socialized which is great.

I ended my day with a glass of wine and some TV with Gary while trying to follow *some* of the news on Twitter. "What a day" is a MASSIVE understatement. Just massive. SMH!

Tonight is BFF's b-day party. I am so relieved and happy that Cait is coming with me. I would be a wreck if I was going alone. I still need to wrap her gift and make a card. And what am I going to wear? No idea!
Floyd needs his fluids today and I am not looking forward to that. Cait wants to help too so that will be an extra hand to keep him from jumping away like last time.

Sending some of my sun and warm weather to all of you who need it!

Nancy- bet you and your DH are excited about the game and watch party today. I bet you will be hoarse with cheering and yelling-- hopefully with much more cheering.
That is good to hear that the refs are going to be careful with hits to the head.
There was a Shepard at the park yesterday- they are such beautiful dogs. It was funny at first. The owner came to the park on a bike and we were all amazed how he did that with the dog on a leash. Later, I was cooking dinner and looked out of my window and there was the Shepard trotting alongsde of the guy on the bike. I am 2 miles from the park and I have no idea how far the guy lives past us. I am impressed. I can't get my dogs to walk nice, let alone stay by my side on busy streets without pulling, and here he is on a bike. Wow. What a good boy. (or girl ;) )
Enjoy the sun today!!

Rae- hi sweetie!! I am always thinking of you and am sending love and support to you.
Is Taz doing better and able to get the rabies shot? Were they able to figure out what caused the fever? Having spent way too much time at the vet this year myself, you know that I am hoping for a good report for him.
I know that you and Jen know this and are doing this but I have to say it anyway-- document *everything.* Names, dates, decisions, overheard comments, all of it. Build a strong case and get poor Bailey out of there.
I wish I could help but know that I am in your corner even if you cant see me.

Trudy-- happy birthday my dear friend!!!!!!! What good plans do you have today? Did you pick something out with your Gary yesterday? Hope that you get spoiled with good wishes all weekend
Sorry to hear that it will be rainy this weekend :(
This upcoming week is gonna be crazy and now Cait has a dr appt for her eyes on Tuesday. She hasn't been able to see the board for months in class and got an appt for this upcoming Tuesday. Gary offered to go with her since she will have her eyes dilated but if he ends up being too sick to go, it will be on me. I wished she had made it for the following week which will be much quieter :(

Happy Anniversary Jean!!!!! 50 years is a huge milestone!

Hi Felis! Hope that your weekend is starting out lovely!

xoxo

good late morning - stayed up late and so I got up late and then we had to get Luther and ourselves out to enjoy his fantastic weather. Sun and temps in the 70s and yesterday it was into the 80s. It is so good that my son is now declaring the dog is hot so we need to turn on the AC. I laugh in his face. Turn on a fan and open the window. Hockey was awesome last night and the teams I was hoping would win did. I was up until 1:30am watching the Kings and Golden Knights play through the 1st overtime I just could not stay up but it was awesome as I recorded it and watched the Knights defeat the Kings in the 2nd overtime. They were all so tired. Quick was amazing as the goalie as was Fleury but Quick had to make twice as many saves for the Kings than Fleury had to do for the Knights. So finally with a little over 4 min left in the 2nd OT Knights score and win and are now up 2 games to none. Then the Jets defeated the Wild. But the Wild had to start fights as they had been so dominated. So all they can win are those fights. Then the Flyers actually came back and defeated the Penguins LOL. Crosby missed an open net and smashed his stick over the net. Pretty funny to see him so mad. Then the news broke that one of The Maple Leafs players was suspended for 3 games for a retaliatory predatory unnecessary head hit to an unsuspecting player. He has to learn as this is his third suspension. Enough hockey LOL. But I will be cheering for my team and then for Trudy's team.

Chris this weather is so nice and yes everyone is out. Bet your dogs had a great time at the doggie park. Have fun at the party! I am sure you and Cait will be lovely!

Trudy Happy Birthday! Hope your family treats you well. Hope you had fun shopping and got some thing special.

Felis hope you are having spring weather too! Sure brightens my spirits.

Rae that is so terrible that they will not even think about helping your daughter. It is shameful. I am glad you are getting all the info together and will try to make a change. Have fun playing games. Sure hope that Taz is okay and can get his shot.

Jean congrats on 50 years that is such an accomplishment in these days! Have fun birding!

Have a great day all!

Good Saturday morning ladies!! A much nicer day so far then what was forecast, but we will take it! It is sunny with clouds but very chilly :mmph: A regatta is going on, on the lake that we overlook from our house, it is nice to see the long rowing boats out there on the nice calm lake! We had a nice day of shopping yesterday, but man was it ever raining and very windy! Not a nice drive home. I decided to La Vien Rose and get myself a bunch of new undies and bras LOL not something that many would pick to get for a gift, but I really needed them and they had a wonderful sale on, also I had a 25% off birthday coupon to use so that was nice too! Then off to Costco and a quick pop into Michael's for new paint brushes Oh I also got myself a new pair of goggles for swimming. I am very happy with my purchases! Today hubby wants to take me out for a late lunch, because of course we need to be home for the Bruins game at 5 o'clock. :becky:

Chris - So nice to hear that you were able to get outside and enjoy at least one day of sunshine and spring weather! Ending your day with a glass of wine is perfect, hope that it helped you to try to forget the other MADNESS going on in the world. I bet that the dogs were in heaven being out in the dog park and it is nice that W is becoming a bit more social. I sure hope that your Gary will be able to take Cait to her eye appt. Sounds like she is in need of glasses for sure! Poor thing it must be frustrating to not be able to see the board!

Nancy - OMG how did you manage to stay awake so long to watch those games?? DH and I are fortunate that the games start much earlier here or we would have to PVR them all LOL! We waited all day long to find out how many games that player would be suspended for, as actually this is his fourth suspension! Too bad he didn't also get a fine! Wish I could have seen Crosby throw a fit LOL!! We will be cheering for your team also!! Thank you for the Birthday Wishes, I am still enjoying being so spoiled!!

Rae - Like Nancy said, document everything and get Bailey the hell out of that place!! When my DD was in the University Hospital they contacted the City Hospital to send over their Nuero dr to see her and they got her transferred quite quickly, they of course had to wait until she was well enough to be moved. I am so sorry that Bailey is having to go through this!! So frustrating for you and Jen too! I can see that yes they might be over run there with the addicts, but Baileys situation is different, why don't they see that?? :gaah: I wish I could give them a piece of my mind!!! Thank god Bailey has you fighting for her and helping out with at least some kind of therapy for her brain! Hope that Taz is doing better and is able to have his shots! Remember I am still sending you lots of healing thoughts for B and lots of gentle hugs for you and your family!

Jean - Congrats on your very special milestone anniversary! Such an inspiration to others, not many make it through 50 years together! Hope you were both able to see lots of birds!
Enjoy your weekend!

Felis - I hope that the spring weather continues for you and that you are able to be outside and enjoying the sunshine for the whole weekend!

Ok I better hit the shower and get ready to go and get our errands done for this Saturday. I need to decide where to go to for my birthday lunch too. Have a wonderful day ladies!

Yesterday was wonderful. Thanks for all the good wishes. A friend called to wish a happy anniversary then we had long talk with BIL who sent flowers the day before. Finally, we spent a little time birding and it was warm with lots of early spring migrants that were very active. That was wonderful by itself. Then we dressed up a bit and went to a restaurant overlooking a creek with mallards and later deer down below that we viewed from our window-side table. Food was good, then ... waiting for dessert DH pulled a little wrapped box from his pocket! It was a lovely vintage ring that is perfect for me. The little sneak took two of my rings for size when he had his college ring resized recently and found just the right ring for me. The funny side to this is that he didn't do this sort of thing 50 years ago. We just mutually decided to get married and bought simple gold bands (no engagement or ring) and only I had a checkbook with me (before credits cards!) so I paid for them.

Today some folks from Hum & Strum are providing music for a multi-church potluck and this morning had a practice session. Soon the weather is cooling off, but at least we're not scheduled for the blizzard in Minnesota.

Chris, I just don't understand why you torture yourself following news minute by minute. It is bad enough to read the news once a day, but unless you are taking actions to counteract the things you read about (and on the same minute by minute basis), why are you doing this? I too am sure you and Cait will be lovely for the party and her help will be good for both you and Floyd.

Nancy, good luck to the Devils today. Glad to see the Maple Leaf player got a three game suspension. Too funny using Luther as an excuse for A/C.

Trudy, Happy Birthday! I'm sure it will be so nice and what a present it would be for the Bruins to win again.

Felis, hoping for a nice weekend with lots of yard time for you.

Rae, also hoping you get B into that neuro unit in a "real" hospital.

Jean, isn't a lovely that we are all here at the same time?! Our toughs are on one wave. I have to diner now, because we are just too late for that, but will catch all later.
I'm happy that your anniversary yesterday is been so lovely! This story about the rings was ''ohh'' and ''ahh'' and it stay with me for a long. You must be married very young. And I actually like this feminist decision you to pay the rings. My parents are decided to not wearing rings and I realise it's naive, but I think they have problems in their marriage, because they are ignored the ritual. Now you just can't to not show us this new ring at your weekly page or on separate LO. Please! It's so romantic.

Trudy, congrats and hugs and I already left you note earlier! I bet you are had awesome face time with the children, except in case that you are been too busy out!

Nancy, you are my hero, because of your passion which keeps you awake so long! How many games at one day have? Sounds like very busy but fun time. L O L, thats so funny, I definitely think that Luther will prefer opened window, but who knows, your son is more familiar with him, so maybe he is right  . I think we also had 70s (I'm not sure in conversion), but without wind it feels like summer.

Rae, hope Tax is feeling better and vet is figure out why this happen!
Fingers crossed that you will can fast to save B from this awful place! The medical errors are something so serious and scaring! Here we can change the doctors and hospitals when you decided just have to pay in addition for your choice. And to get the favor of the medical staff everybody knows that have informal tradition to bring them alcohol and chocolate candies for gift for gratitude. :boom:

Chris, so good that you had fun at the dog park! I hope that spring really will can makes you happier! Have fun on the party! Will wait to hear how Floyd is act during the fluids. It must become more relaxed with the experience, but some becomes more suspicious.
Cait will be so sexy with glasses and I hope you encourage her for that! And have contacts lenses also, so she'll have possibilities! At the high school I tried contacts, but my eyes have some allergy syndrome which couldn't keep them for a long. And it was one of this old kind lenses, I'm never tried some of the new kinds, it just not worth it anymore. Fortunately now glasses are trend and fashionable! Another good thing that hipsters made :cool2: .

:cofbath: OK, and now back to today! Actually nothing special. Summer temperatures, much time spend outside, almost nothing done from my To Do List. We laugh much with the pets. And tomorrow will have to clean the cat house and go for grocery at same day which will be exhausting. Right now I have so many scraping ideas but of course not enough time.

Happy Sunday morning O-Fam!
I should be brief-- I am overtired and hungry and have been sitting on my butt for a couple of hours already. I should probably get Cait up soon too.

Th epartyesterday was nice, i was able to sit at BFF's table with another persone that we gradauted HS with, and my niece was there too. She and Cait talked a bit and we got some funny pictures of the three "kids" before we left. I wa back home by 8 pm. So I survived-- but I didn't sleep well last night and up for a couple of hours. I hope that I can sleep ok tonight at my IL's because tomorrow is going to be a long day.

xoxoxo!!!

Cait is awake and snuggling with her rats.
Dogs are fed, if not actually eating breakfast.
Floyd is fed.

Now I need to feed myself.

But first...

Nancy- haha!! too cute about Luther needing the AC but that won't be necessary today. It's is so damp and cold. I already miss the sun.
Hope that you hade a fantastic hockey day!

Trudy- did the temps ever warm up for you? At least, maybe the sun made it seem warmer than it was.
Your birthday purchases sound exactly what you wanted and needed. Good for you!!!

Jean- What a romantic gift from your husband!!! *swoon* He is a keeper, although you would be SOOL if he wasn't after 50 years :pound:
I am signed up for Rapid Response Notifications/Protest in the event that Mueller or Rosenstein got fired and I was keeping an eye on that. What a world...

BTW- Floyd did *great* this second round of fluids. Gary thinks he had inserted the needle too high up and this time, the needle slid right in and Floyd didn't move at all.

Felis- I hope that your parent's marriage is ok and is just normal ups and downs. Gary and I don't wear our wedding rings. He lost his a few times and mine gets caught on stuff when I clean. Although I did put a small band on when I went out last night. First time in years. ;)
I want to see jean's ring too!!
Cait is going to wait and see what the eye Dr suggests for glasses. She wears a lot of eye makeup- lots of glittery styles too and that will be a pain with contacts. I think she will look cute in glasses. :nerd:

Time to get some food. ::grouphug

good morning - the bad news for me is my Devils lost and are now down 2-0 and the Lightning only need to win 2 and my teams needs to win 4 of the next 5 which is hard but has been done. We changed goalies in the middle of the game and all of a sudden the team remembered that while this is a playoff game it is just a hockey game so perhaps Monday night they will remember how to play and get me a win. The Ducks also lost which is too bad. But Trudy's team the Boston Bruins routed the Maple Leafs and one of their stars hat a hat trick (scored 3 goals) and had three assists. And this was all in one game. It was a pretty awesome display of talent! And the kid is only 21 years old. My rookie Nico Hischier scored a goal so that was awesome.

Felis thanks for asking about how many games I watch. It is pretty crazy. During the season I have whats called Center Ice so I can watch what ever game is available each day. I usually watch an early game that starts at 7pm and then a late game which starts at 10 or 10:30. I don't always make it up to the end during the season unless the game is awesome. I have my favorite Western teams the Ducks and the AZ Coyotes but I can watch any team if they have a player I like or don't like. And obviously I have my season tickets to the Devils games of which there are 41. It sounds crazy when written like this but I am scrapping or cooking or cleaning or reading while the games are on. And what I like about sports is the fair play, you have to follow the rules and there is a winner usually the team that has played the best. But in sports there can be upsets so that is awesome. The world is crazy at times and this seams to take away the stress of being such a small cog in a big world. My state's politics right now are pretty much in line with mine so there is not too much I need to protest. Too much info LOL.

Yesterday was beautiful and we got a nice walk in with Luther but I think he was a bit shocked at how warm it was but we brought him water so he was good but his tongue was hanging out. Today is freezing with the wind chill so I let my DH take Luther by himself. Got up this morning and I was so mad at my son. We have a dog door so Luther can go out but on a night like last night where the wind is blowing we block it off and shut the kitchen door. Got up this morning to an ice box in my kitchen because he was too tired to stay awake or bring Luther back in. He can stay up until all hours and watch MMA fights but does not care about the house. Makes me angry and sad.

Way too long a post.

Chris so glad the party went well. And seems like you made it home at a decent hour. I think Cait will look cute in glasses too. Have a good day relaxing!

Trudy I love the gifts. I love to get gifts that I want. It is fun when they put in thought and realize that that is a good gift to let me chose. Love the flowers saw them on facebook. Enjoy today too!

Jean that was quite a gift from your DH. 50 years is so impressive! Hope you are not getting snow. Tomorrow we will be drenched! Yuck!

Rae hope the weekend is going well and you and Bailey are having fun with your new games.

Have a great day all.

Today was such a strange day! Maybe have something in the planets, I'm not much familiar with that, or maybe in the air, because was cloudy and dark, but people was nuts. First at the grocery store on a machine for coffee, two man comes and stays so close to my sister that the shoulder of one touches her shoulder whole the time, which is so inappropriate, and if it was me I couldn't stand it, I have OCD and can't handle someone to not left me some space. Then we was on a 3th coffee (he is waiting from 2) and he told her: "oh girl, you piss me off! how much I'll have to wait?!" :jaw: . She excuse him and explain we need just one more. I don't expect to receive some tolerance because we are ladies, but this is just our turn, we was there first. And I don't mine to give you my turn, if you ask me civilized, but to push someone on hill shoes and to rush her is so rude and discomfort! I want to put him on a right place, but she excuse to him, and told me to calm down, because he is older (actually not so much). Then till we waited near to the parking, on a dog place, one other chihua comes from somewhere and attacked Tiny. Good that she is so small so I immediately lift up her through the leash and hug it. Till the other dog continued to jump around me. Her owner comes very slow and smiling told me: ''she just play, don't worry!'', I just had a time to say: "huh, we don't appreciate much this game", and she was found and jump on another dog, it was medium size so it start barked her, and this man start to yelling on the girl with the medium dog, which was on leash instead of his one. What?!
Then at the garden center I meet one woman. She was customer too and saw I'm stare at the seeds and made me space. Also she shows me the price, but I explain I'm saw it and just looking for the carnation, but don't see it. Then wish her: ''good day'', she answer: ''yes, you too'' and few minutes late till we was almost on the cash register, she overtake me and quick giving me a pack with the seeds. Yey! Thank you lady, that you brings me the good opinion for the people (hmu, if we had to be honest only for the women ;) ) ! it was so nice after the whole this madness.

Chris, so good that you had fun! I hope you'll can sleep better this night!
Oh, my parents marriage is SO far away than this in the movies, but works good for them, instead of many our friends which are on second or third. From what you was shared with us, I think their relationship in the critical moments is similar with this of your parents. Argued badly at one day, and tomorrow like nothing wasn't happened. ?!

Nancy, this is interesting for me! I wasn't realize that you did also other things during you watched the games. Aren't this distraction?! Love the passion with which you talk about sport! I'm never been familiar with it, and it's looks me more stressful than relief (with all these charts, scores and fan expectations), so I'm always pleased to see your point view, especially because you are so familiar with all details. Thanks for sharing!
I definitely have to see Luther's dog door! We don't have dog doors here, because to many robberies (and also because in our culture most dogs just lives at dog house at the yard, but this is other topic). I'm pretty sure I can to crawl through his door, aren't you scared all the time?! I sometimes sneak into the dog house when wash it, so with big dog this is real possibility. And previous year they robbed us because dog was locked at the front yard and we was out, and I was left opened window for the cats, because was too hot. So from then this really freaks me out!

Trudy, Jean and Rae, I hope you have great weekend! I left you notes yesterday, so better to end this post. I'm not sure how many characters was the limits for one post but :banplease: .
