Daily Oooo's: Wednesday, July 12

Good morning ladies. I was thinking that @faerywings was going to start today off but she may be exhausted from her trip so sleeping late. But probably not, know Chris. She is probably caffeinating and getting ready to take on the day.

We got quite a rainstorm last night and it rained into the lanai. Brian was out there scooping. The gutter guys are coming Friday to take a look. Right now, the rain rolls right off the roof and hits the screen and pours in. Only the front has gutters...who does that? Anyway, the furniture came and it's half done. It's a lot of work to put it together but we are definitely on the way. Today I'm taking advantage of the Amazon Prime Days and ordering ceiling fans.

But, in the meantime, I need to get myself read for work. HAGD all! I'll be back later.

Good Morning to all! Or afternoon, depending on when you read this!
I went to Wild Birds Unlimited yesterday to find something to keep the ants out of my hummingbird feeder. Since I had never been there before she gave me a first-time customer gift! She paid me to make a purchase, really! I bought some cinnamon gel stuff to put around the top of the hook and the stuff she gave me would have cost me at least $10 more than what I paid for the gel! I'm going back today to get a bird bath plate and join their rewards type of program that gives you 15% off of everything you buy. I have to pay $25 to join, but I think it will be worth it! She gave me product to pay for nearly half of it already.....even without joining! I like those kinds of places who treat their customers like they appreciate them!

Ilene and I have plans to go to COSTCO tomorrow. Other than that, nothing new here.

I love Wild Birds Unlimited. They have some good deals and I agree, I definitely get my money back by being a member. As a matter of fact, I got a coupon of $10 off on a purchase of $60 so when I go this weekend to get the birdbath that I want, I'm going to use that coupon!

And I agree...no gutters on the sides or backs of the house is just stupid.

I also joined our county Audubon Club. It's $20 a year and it looks like they are really active from September to May. I wouldn't go to anything outdoors right now if you paid me! Yikes...it is hot out!

Vicky @vickyday, how fun that you got free stuff! Yes, I'd definitely be going back there. Have fun with Ilene at Cosco. I love that place, but we don't have one very close to us - oh well, I spend more money when I go there. LOL

Linda, @LSlycord I just looked at my weather app - I keep FT Myers on there - it's 90 right now, going up to 96. Steph said it's been miserable with the humidity. I forgot to answer about when Asher would be here. They're coming the end of the month so he can start school. I can't wait until they're so close to us!

Trying to decide what to buy from Magical Reality ... won $5 during the Birthday party. But, there's too much goodies.......

Been really sick for a while. Tired, cold, feeling really low. Turned out my BP had sky rocketed. 190/115 or something like that. So, increased the dosage of my BP meds, and now I'm like human again. Feels like I've been sick since mid-December. When I was younger I always thought the older ladies at work was so boring, all they could talk about was there ailments ... now I'm there myself.

Urban work this week & next, then it's finally time for vacation. We'll be going to Lund (almost as south as you can get in Sweden) first week, then home one week, then Urban working one week, and the next week we go to my paradise, i.e Vadstena. Then we have 3 smaller/shorter trips planned for the fall. It's raining a lot right now, but I hope the summer will return until it's time for us to leave for vacation.

Good morning ladies. It's my book club day. I got the muffins baked last night and they are yummy (gluten free cream cheese pumpkin). I think 5-6 ladies are coming today. I expect there will be more in the fall when the summer vacations are over. They come at 12:30, we'll have a light lunch and discuss "The Golden Girl" before giving out titles to read for next month.

@LSlycord You will have so much fun with the club. I am disappointed that my little city doesn't do many birding outings. I love living here but miss the birding opportunities of the Vancouver area. Wish I lived close to you We have that store here too, it's small but they carry a lot of stock.

One hummingbird came by but didn't hang around and it's been a few days since he was spotted.

I shopped on prime day for food - quest keto friendly tortilla chips. I ordered 4 boxes. Couldn't resist the 28% discount. I don't generally eat that stuff but grain-free keto tortillas are a nice snack now and again, while keeping the carbs low. I like that they come in cases of 8 small bags so its portion controlled.

@vickyday I love going to Costco. I always buy more than I need but it's worth it b/c I save money on the bulk buying. I love their salmon patties and sausage patties. We always get the gluten free chicken flings.

I hear Bella barking outside so its time to get Remi back out there to play before getting dressed for the day. HAGD everyone.

I'm back.
I had planned to go back to Wild Birds Unlimited today and stop at Food Lion on the way back to get a couple of BOGO
meat items, so Mark called me to have me put his sugar free coffee creamer on the list. While on the phone he asked if I wanted to do lunch. So I did. Took him back to work afterwards and headed to my new favorite shop.....Wild Birds Unlimited! I joined their membership program today for $25 and got $30 of free product! I'm telling you, I am loving this place! I did get the bird bath dish. Mark is going to make the base for it. It will be a hanging one. I want to hang it off the side of the deck. That way I can keep an eye on it to replenish the water as needed and get to it easily to clean. One of the free products I got today was a bluebird feeder. I've never seen bluebirds at my feeders, so I'm anxious to see if it draws them in. I need to get some bluebird food, which I should've gotten while I was there! Oh well! Guess I'll have to go back!
So I'm back for the afternoon. Salad is on the menu for supper before church. Not sure what I will do this afternoon. I took some beautiful cloud photos while I was out. I may scrap them!
