Good morning. I was up early but it is so cloudy and supposed to start raining soon so instead of heading to the beach, I decided to sit on the lanai and enjoy the morning. It's 77 degrees but the humidity makes it feel like 86. @bcgal00 our rain storms are the same here about not changing temps and humidity. In Iowa it would get really hot and humid but a storm would break the temps and heat. I miss that.

I hope that Chris and her mom made it without any adventures yesterday. @Nonni F hoping that the rain isn't causing you any problems.

@Cherylndesigns 5000 square feet? I knew it was big but I can't even imagine. No basements there right? Wow! Good thing that Adrienne has a house cleaner. And you will miss Braden for sure! But Asher will be close by soon! How much longer? I was waiting for the office to be finished before I got a cleaner in here...but now I think I'm ready. I had a short thought that I would maybe clean for myself...but Sydney looked at me and smirked. Guess that means that I will be getting a house cleaner.

@vickyday glad that Mark likes his job. But it is always hard coming back from vacation! Glad that Ilene is feeling better and I had forgotten that you had lived with her before you married Mark. And, wow, you have been a scrapping maniac getting that many pages done.

Guess I better get inside and get ready for work. I've just been sitting here listening to the rain and watching the male cardinal eat and hang out. Good start to the day!

HAGD all!

Good Morning, Everyone~

Happy Tuesday. The sun is shining here today. Luckily we aren't in a flood zone, but there are some areas that are completely washed away. It's crazy. But, no worries, I don't doubt next year we'll be back to complaining about the drought.

@faerywings I hope you enjoy your time away. I always forget NJ has that gas pump rule. Here the do it some places, but charge you more.
@vickyday Always good to have a back up plan for a roof over your head. ;)
@LSlycord I have always thought storms here cooled things down and lowered the dew point.. this year... not so much.

Not that I've been online a lot as it is, but off to my Aunt's wake and funeral Wednesday and Thursday if my absence goes unnoticed.

May your day be a happy one!
PEACE

Good morning ladies. I will be out running errands in a bit and then home to hop in the pool. Scrapping, reading and cleaning off and on throughout the day is on the agenda. It's funny that I stepped away from reading for most of last year and this year I am really enjoying getting back into it. For sure today I am going to make muffins today for my book club tomorrow.

@faerywings Hope you are off having a good time.

@LSlycord I love hearing how you are enjoying the birds in your area. Isn't that a nice way to start the day? I love going out first thing in the morning to fill up the feeders and they all flutter around, singing to me.

@Nonni F See you when you get back home and get back online again.

I'm getting coffee, will get off the computer soon so I can shower and get out to run errands. HAGD everyone.

Getting that many pages done was much easier since I was not searching my stash for elements. Instead, I just stuck to recoloring the stains and textures provided on each template then adding a color to the bg.....or not! I wanted these pages to be documentary in nature.....not artsy! However, the one I did for the Big Photo challenge was more artsy.

Good Morning to all!
Had to run to Lowe's Home Improvement Center today. I was going to fill out the warranty for the freezer to submit. Realized from the form it has to be emailed.....with a picture of the receipt. Ummmmm.....couldn't find it! OOPS! I must've pitched it without thinking about it after I took a picture of it for my Fetch app. Looked on our credit card account for it. Mark reminded me that we paid cash. So, I looked through my daily calendar to see if I made a note of when it was purchased. You know those pocket-sized calendars in the plastic cover? Each day (most days) I make a note of what I did during the day....the highlights. Found the day we purchased the freezer. So, I went to Lowe's to see if they could print another receipt for me. I gave the customer service rep the date of purchase. She asked for an item number. I had no clue! She said I could take a picture of the tag on the freezer in stock and she could use that. Check, check, and check.....receipt recovered and it even has my name on it! So now I can take a picture of it and send the email to get the freezer registered for warranty purposes! Thank You, LORD, for making my trip to Lowe's prosperous!
Mark wanted to go to lunch today, but I'm dealing with stomach issues and trying to get a headache. My sinuses have been driving me crazy since we came back from the mountains! OY VEY!
I stopped at Food Lion near Lowe's to pick up some more milk and some freezer foods. They had drumsticks on sale for $0.99/lb! I picked up 2 family packs of 14 drumsticks per pack. Divided them into 4 packs and put them in the freezer. They were still pretty frozen even from the store. So, I paid approx. $9 for 4 meals!
Bed is made, dishes are put away and I am enjoying a late coffee. No other plans today other than I want to try a gluten-free cookie recipe.....oatmeal chocolate chip. So I will work on that later today. Leftovers is for supper! So I think I will try to get some more challenges done!
HAGD!

Good afternoon, all.

I had a LO to do for prerelease, so I got that done and posted. Just fixed me some avocado and cream cheese toast. It tasted so good. Some of the restaurants in FL have avocado toast on their menus. Guess you have to like them - it's one of those foods that you either like or you don't. Kind of like hummus. Braden and I split an order of hummus the other night when we all went out to dinner. It was delicious - probably the best I'd ever had. Another "you like it or you don't".

I hope Chris @faerywings and her mom are having a relaxing time.

Yes, Linda @LSlycord that's a big house! I can't even imagine keeping that clean. I've lived in a couple of 3,000 sq ft homes and that kept me hopping. I'm perfectly content now with just the two of us with our 1500 sq ft home. It's perfect for us.

Nonni @Nonni F I'm sorry you lost your aunt. We'll miss you while you're gone.

Vicky @vickyday sounds like you're back in your old routine - it's good to be home.

Rae @bcgal00 enjoy your book club and I know your muffins will be delicious.

XOXO

Left at 9AM to run errands. Picked up the missing Rx at the base from 2 weeks ago then did another commissary run while I was there. Stopped at the used bookstore near the base but didn't find any of the books I wanted. Got home at 1 PM and put the groceries away. Wrote out a couple of bills and made a mad dash over to the Post Office to get them in the mail by the 2PM pickup. Stopped at the library but didn't see any books I wanted. Made a stop at the neighborhood PO cluster and picked up my mail. By now the temp is 99F and heading for 101F or higher!!! And it will be like that for the next week. Hoping the monsoon rains will start and that should cool us off somewhat. Can't believe the flooding in the northeast. My heart aches for all those who affected.

I am sure Chris and her mom are having fun.. just hope they avoid all the flooding.

@LSlycord - lazing on your lanai sounds like a good thing to do this AM. Glad to hear your office is done. And hiring a cleaning lady sounds like the best thing to do now that you are back at work.

@Nonni F - so sorry to hear about you aunt. We will miss you while you are gone.

@vickyday Sorry you have been feeling bad since you got back from the vacation.

@Cherylndesigns Sounds like the girls are still keeping you busy. Hope you get some time to rest and relax soon.

I am heading for the recliner to kick back and read or reread some of my own books.

Kay, yes the girls are still keeping me busy. You take it easy in that heat. Your morning errands wore me out just reading them. Hope you got some of the books you were looking for. :hug3:
