Are you having FOMO or JOMO?

You probably know by now that I like weaving meaning into what I create. This time, it's also a bit personal.

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about how quickly my days fill up, and how rarely I truly slow down. Not so much in the social sense, but in slowing down with my work. Designing is a joy for me, not a chore and it’s easy to get swept up in the constant motion of “what’s new,” especially in a creative business like this, where the rhythm often rewards speed and novelty.

Still, the idea of creating at a different pace—less rushed, less reactive—is something I often wish I could make more room for.
That idea shaped the theme of my new Color Play collection—both visually and emotionally.

It was created as a visual deep breath—an invitation to pause, to unplug, and to make space for meaning.
The Joy of Missing Out isn’t about absence—it’s about presence. About trading the fear of missing out for the quiet satisfaction of opting out. Of choosing slow, choosing quiet, choosing what truly matters.

If this mindset resonates with you, now might be a lovely time to explore it creatively.
During the Color Play promotion, the kit and all individual packs are 50% off through Monday.

Team JOMO here! Quitting social media is the best thing I've ever done. You have no idea how much time you have to spend once you've freed your brain from click-bait-society!

Must come back later this weekend and get this kit!
OH WOW that is interesting! That you have quit social media! Well bravo for you!!

Having a creative business going off social media is a bit harder to do (though there are coaches who say it is possible), but if I didn't have the business, I would see myself do it as well!

This is GAWGEOUS, Anja!!! :dancingbfly:

@tanteva I totally agree...I really don't do FB or IG anymore...it's only when I am laying in bed late at night that I let myself just scroll through the IG or YouTube reels/shorts/whatever they are called, and it is purely for entertainment. I don't have the mental energy anymore to keep up with SO many people like I used to :( I also was horrible about doing anything for Joyful Heart Designs on FB, so that hasn't affected me at all there :rotfl: Not constantly seeing political stuff really helps my brain, as well :wardrobehide:
