The TS Department at my work sent out this alert so I just wanted to pass it onto everyone to be aware...they did advise that this could just be an April Fool's joke but wanted everyone to be aware...
For the last few weeks, there has been a lot of press about a new virus that may “attack” infected computers on April 1. The virus is actually a “worm” named the Conficker Worm that installs itself on a PC, most times without the user knowing what happened, and hides itself until the hacker decides to unleash its programming. This can lead to computer crashes, theft of personal data, use of your computer to create large-scale attacks on other computers, etc. Luckily, this worm is considered low-threat by most virus protection companies.
