Anyone own a Xyron 250 Sticker Maker?

I unearthed my mom's Xyron so I could use it for some invitations. I think something's broken. It won't turn the right direction because some little piece keeps stopping it from turning. It looks like the little piece might have something that broke off. Now I can't tell if it's completely ruined or what. Here's a shot of the piece that's giving me grief.

Can anyone tell me what it's supposed to look like?? If I just break that piece off so it can spin freely is that going to mess things up? Help. =)

yes...and the darn thing almost never works or the refills don't...however I know girls that love theirs
