It’s Saturday, and time for another challenge from Anna Aspnes. Each Saturday the AnnaTeam selects one creative page from the Anna gallery as the weekly ‘AnnaLift.’ Check out the inspiration page and decide what speaks to you. Is it the design, the color, the wordART, or maybe the photo? Choose ONE idea from the page to lift or choose it ALL and lift it completely. There is no right or wrong way to ArtPlay. Be inspired and create your ‘AnnaLift’ and then upload your page to the Anna gallery, plus include it here in this forum thread. Upload your page by Friday 8.21.15 by NOON EST with the title, ‘AnnaLift ’ and one lucky participant will be randomly selected to win a $5.00 GiftKard to Anna’s shop. The winner will be posted each Friday here in the forum.

This week we are lifting the page "footprints in the sand" by "Tamsin". I love so much about this layout. The image is definitely "center stage", and the beauty of the image draws you in. The perfect beachy colors, the wash of white over top - giving a feeling of light coming from within. The simple scribbled frame, the small splatters at the lower right of the image, the soft pale colors. It is a study in being subtle, and I am a sucker for all things subtle. Subtle things surprise you with things you hadn't noticed before, they are there, and as you look at this layout, all of a sudden you begin noticing special little touches, if you allow yourself to see them. The detail in this is so delicate and beautiful - the image itself is washed out by the white, but still, you can see a sailboat in the backgound, the reflection in the water of the dog and the woman's feet, the tiny seashell in the lower right of the image - all so beautiful, but I also love the faint, delicate beachy colors in the background paper, what looks like a hint of the surf crashing against the shore, the faint stucco texture of white on white, and a hint of a seagull in the upper right, and the wonderful white-on-white of the circular lace to the lower right of the image. I don't to subtle real well, but I so appreciate it when I see it in the gallery. This layout by Tamsin, reminds of the many times I have walked along the shore, with the sun so bright that everything appears to have a soft whiteness - I can almost feel the sea breeze.

I am so anxious to see what everyone creates, as you never disappoint with the lifts you create, so it is now up to you to choose just what you want to lift from this page. You may choose to lift a single element of the layout, or lift it all - whatever grabs you and takes hold of you when you look at this layout. Have some fun with it - I am sure the results will be awesome – remember anything goes, as long as you are having fun!!!
This week’s AnnaLift will inspire all of us in some way. Maybe you will choose to:
-blend your photo unto your page
-create a background filled with subtleties
-frame your image in an unexpected manner
-add some texture
-use some artstrokes
-Include a simple title
-design a layout with delicious white space
