It’s Saturday……………yep, Saturday and time for another challenge from Anna Aspnes. Each Saturday the AnnaTeam selects one creative page from the Anna gallery as the weekly ‘AnnaLift.’ Check out the inspiration page and decide what speaks to you. Is it the design, the color, the wordART, or maybe the photo? Choose ONE idea from the page to lift or choose it ALL and lift it completely. There is no right or wrong way to ArtPlay. Be inspired and create your ‘AnnaLift’ and then upload your page to the Anna gallery, plus include it here in this forum thread. Upload your page by Friday 5.8.15 by NOON EST with the title, ‘AnnaLift ’ and one lucky participant will be randomly selected to win a $5.00 GiftKard to Anna’s shop. The winner will be posted each Friday here in the forum.
Anna’s products mix well with so many kits/designers and Anna welcomes you to include these with your Anna Products on your AnnaLift page.
We are lifting “Baptism” by 'sabdesbois' this week. Such an awesome layout – a fabulous linear design. I love that although Sabine began with an Artsy Paper, she clearly added to it to best work with her page. What a great base of colors, brush-work. text, and textures – so full of interest, keeping the viewer intrigued. I love her color palette – very much in line with her photo. I adore that she has placed some of the elements over top of portions of her frame, and that the photo is blended with the background, so you have to look to see what is photo and what are design elements. I love the subtle addition of the linear element on the top and bottom of the page – reinforcing her linear design. I love the artstrokes throughout, some of which create a frame for the page info. The more you look at this layout, the more complex the background looks – created with a multitude of design elements, but working so well together to create a rich and integral base for her page. So as you decide what to lift, keep in mind how much of a jump start one of Anna’s wonderful Artsy Papers could be, or start from scratch and create your own artsy base. How FUN! Anna's ART makes it all so fun!

I am so anxious to see what everyone creates, as you never disappoint with the lifts you create, so it is now up to you to choose just what you want to lift from this page. You may choose to lift a single element of the layout, or lift it all - whatever grabs you and takes hold of you when you look at this layout. Have some fun with it - I am sure the results will be awesome – remember anything goes, as long as you are having fun!!!
This week’s AnnaLift will inspire all of us in some way. Maybe you will choose to:
-use a ready made ARTSY PAPER to jump start your layout
-blend your photo unto your background
-use a simple frame
-use some text elements
-use a variety of textures
-include simple page info
-use some artstrokes
